Awesome 👍 thannnnnk you!🎉
I got one with ABS/CBS and TCS. Amazing bike!!
Thanks for Watching.
Sounds horrible
sorry for the sound quality, not a expensive camera, but my friends tell me it is definitely a bold sound when riding be hind my bike, Thanks for watching
on the gl1000 carburettor there was a vacuum connector to a carburettor associated with the throttle back problem causing backfiring. In the GL1000 workshop manual it is referred to a a deceleration jet. If the system was blocked staring was difficult and throttling back was rough running and backfiring.
Thanks for the feedback, I did this video on a 84 1200, That info will help others, Thanks and Thanks for watching
First hint, there are 8 planets on the left side, A Sharp eye to find the 8th planet.
Thank you - very helpful. I have an ST1100 ( ex police version)here in Western Australia and so far, I haven't taken the wheels of yet to replace tyres. After another cup of coffee, i'm going back outside to do the front one. Regards, Angus.
Hello mam, excuse me, how did tou screw and torqued the bolt that holds the 2 and the ney puley without the crank moves and lost synchronization
Yakarty, Once you are ready to secure it, you add the Blue Loctite to the bolt and hold the timing gears as tight as you can but if you can have someone to help you is better, once tight let the Loctite set overnight or 24 hours before starting the bike. Thanks for watching
How many amps is your alternator, i need one 100amps alternator but i don't know if it could be to small as one u show us here in the video
Go on Amazon and search for the one wire 55amp alternator which is used for race cars, also see 1 of 7 where I spoke of the equipment parts, Thanks for Watching.
@@max1chase166 hello, thanks for the answe. ¿that one 55 amp alternator could keep up a 1000W power amplifier and a second battery?
@@Yakarty Now that I have no idea but, it will handle any amount of lights most Goldwings have on them that would burn a stator out, Again check this alternator on Amazon under the One wire alternator, Again thanks for watching and doing the conversion
How do you adjust the fight wheel what do I have to do in order to be able to turn that adjusting hex
From underneath, At 2:28 you push the selector upward high enough to turn to the next number and the secure the pin again with the cotter pin, Thanks for Watching
Where u got those bulbs from? Or part number info Thanks
After removing the bulb, I searched on Amazon along with the bulb name and bulb number and found it on Amazon and got a package of 5 for a cheap cost. Thanks for watching.
Thank you
Thanks for watching, and yes the older version is made better than the new version, also every bike owner needs a bike lift.
good you got it on sale bro its bad ass tools are number one
Thanks for Watching, my tool usage is just for myself and does what I need them to do.
Is it supposed to turn left and righ? Or is that a problem too
Those type of grease fittings work with the other one on the other side but one side maybe clogged and to ensure to get grease in the joint try both sides to lube the joint until you see grease coming out on both sides. Thanks for watching.
Not only was I able to draw the leftover oil out, but I also used the vacumn pump to clean out the clutch and brake reservoirs.
Took the bike for a ride today and it feel smooth, beads are ok for fast speeds but for slow cruising speeds I want it rolling smooth at all speeds.
Another tech tip when dealing with the pilot jet screw them in all the way until it touches, this is the riches setting, and no air flow, unscrewing the jet, leans the mixture. Use the idle drop method on each carb for ideal settings. Again, thanks for Watching
I’ll admit, the music you picked, is great 👍🏻!!!!!
Thanks for Watching Tommy
Incredibly valuable information! I’m giving it a go with mine this weekend. 34 pict 3 gl1200
Great video. I had an 87 that had the opposite problem. Same fix. Old one was dirty so maybe it could have been cleaned I don't know. Thanks for your work!
The switch is internal, cleaning it will do nothing, purchase a new on they are cheap on Amazon. Thanks for Watching
I think I will stick to my factory carbs
I went back to the factory carbs because the one carb conversion is very picky
Music a little distracting and hard to hear what you’re saying. Otherwise good information
Thanks for Watching
What is the model number of the vw carburator?
It is a EMPI 34 PICT 3 carb, Thanks for Watching
6.4.24. ☝🏼I found it best to unrack the carburetors from the airbox & take them down one by one and clean each with an ultrasonic bath. Then I use a soda blaster to finish up any corrosion on the outside. I know it’s a lot more work … but in the long run it’s a better solution, then you can get your eyes on all passages to make sure they are cleaned with brake cleaner or carburetor spray. I also buy my carb kits from Randakk. Again they are pricey, but he provides the best materials. Another good reason to pull them all the way down is that you can check the float levels & also the float needle and seats. Good video I admire your spirit in keeping your bike running as no one in the Dealership business generally touches these old relics.⚠️

Gracious para watching trabajo on mi spanish.😊
I did that a year ago I love my bike again after messing with those 4 carbs for years I could never get them tuned right. So I put the vw pic34 carb now it runs great.
I did this on my gl1100 but I have to rev it pretty high to get off the line? How's your experience?
Hard to watch with the music blaring in thr background
Roger that I will exclude music from here on, Thanks for watching.
Hey how's that goldwing running? Just curious. I've got mine tuned pretty good finally. Thank you for the videos you did.
Hey bro, I gave up on that single carb and went back to the 4 carbs, it's running great from the carb set I got from Ebay, changed out the #35 idle jets to the #40 jets, that tuning was easier, I will hold on to the one carb set until new info on tuning comes up, thanks for asking and watching, ride safe out there.
I'm running a Chinese version of the 34 pict 3 with 55/127 jets and it runs great. Good gas mileage, starts easy and it seems pretty consistent. To be honest I think your intake might be part of the problem. I'm using a cad designed intake that I 3d printed. It flows great. No sharp bends. I got some videos on here about it. Anyway, good luck Brother. Thanks again!

Buenas noches me podrías ayudar con mi moto honda goldwing modelo 86 motor 1200 full injection edición especial aspencade Sei no enciende no tiene pulso ni chispa da marcha y también gas me ayudas porfa
If you have no spark, your ignition coils may be bad or burnt out, they are under the false tank follow your plug wires to 2 coils, 2 for the left side and 2 for the right, you can have the coils tested and if good, then go to the pulse generator on the back of the engine some say you have to take the rear wheel off to remove the pulse generator cover , see video on You Tube, make your call on how to move forward. Hope this helps.
You ever get that Chicken WIng Runnin'?
Yeah, I did the stator thing twice, and last June did the Po Boy conversion. Thanks, watching
I got 1200 sitting for 15yrs showroom condition but the carbs ! I will like to do the comvertion where do l get the kit?
I saw the kit for sale on You Tube, but unless you have the equipment to tune it perfectly it's going to be a problem, I went back to thec4 carbs and rolling mine again.
Thank you for this!
Thanks for watching, glad and hope it helped.
hey i recently ordered some pict 4 carb jets off of ebay. i am running a size 35 idle jet and size 65 main jet and the bike idles and revs much better. i dont think the stock pict 28, 30, or 31 carbs come with the right jets, because changing the idle jet to a 35 has made it much smoother to idle and idle off response.
Bit of a fire risk there though. You need to work out what happens when the bike is moving. You might find all those clearances dissapear.
No problem it is still stiff enough and has stayed in place even to this day doing the job, Thanks for Watching.
don't do it , terrible performance .
I went back to the 4 carbs again.
Thanks for the informative video. Very helpful.
Thanks for Watching
The single carb conversion will never work nearly as well as properly tuned honda 4 carb set-up, watch a Randall Washington (Randakk) video.
Not entirely true mine works quite well with a single vw beetle Chinese knock off carb. Right out of the box.
😂
I remove engine in 5 hours. Very easy.
My bike stays charged if I ride it but if I let it sit and idle it drains the battery
Thanks for watching, with stators on Goldwings the rpms must be at least 1100 to send charge back to the battery try that and if it still don;t be charging your stator maybe on the way out.
Nicely done
Thanks for Watching, After sealing it with bedliner, the shield has stayed the same ever since flap was put in place.
As you have one wire alternator and inbuild regulator so you don't need the external (original) regulator. Also you didn't connect any ignetion wire to your alternator. Is it protected when you fire the engine?
The only thing I did was cut and shrink wrap the wires from the stator and left everything else as it was,, I did add a 40 amp fuse block at the battery 6" from the wire going to the battery, everythi,g is charging fine and Po Boy alternator is operating as designed., view the other videos for showing the running voltage, Thanks for Watching.
@@max1chase166 Good job 👍🏻 I have my gl 1200 engine out for heavy restoration and thinking to put an external alternator too. Would you please send me the measurement of the pully you used? I have a friend who got cnc machine and will make one for me :)
So what did you with the 4 hose's that come off each intake under the intake boot. I forgot about them and not sure what to do with them.
See my video on 84 Goldwing reed control valve jet issues, thanks for watching.
@@max1chase166 I will tonight when I get home. Thank you!!
Also Can that Reed Control valve is a gimmick Honda added during that time to show they were doing something for air emissions, See my additional video on it running without it., again Thanks for Watching.
Update as of 21 Oct 23, still getting the hesitation during start off, adjusting the volume mixture did not help, today decided to increase the idle jet to a 65 which improved the response dramatically, took it on a test ride very little hesitation so therefore the hesitation is from the operation of the idle jet, I will either get a 75 or use my micro drill bits and bore the 65 out a bit more, will update again once completed if its not too cold here in Va.
Great video! Well done
Waveranger; Thanks for watching.
Hi. Thanks for the video. You gave so much info and we appreciate it! I have done the conversion on my 84 and I have terrible idle and the low end torque is completely gone. I'm being told that I need to get some sort of heater for the carb before I even begin to try to adjust it. Apparently they ice up on the inside. Have you been able to get yours running? are you using heat? Thanks again!
Thanks for watching, I have went thru several options and jets and carb adjustments, but I have my bike running and revs great sitting still but when power is added it bogs down, there are thousands of options to find the right sequence of air and fuel mixture, join the page of Classic Goldwings and see my segments called Single carb conversion under my usernane Chicken Wing and the pics of a heat deflector to keep the intakes warm.
See the other video of Choice of carbs and jets, hope it helps.
Yes mine will idle fine and revs fine but to aid in the slowing of the intakes chilling is to let the engine warm up at a idle and also a heat shield won't hurt see the pics on what I did with a windshield heat shield double layered and a cardboard inner lining.
I have the same problems on my GL 1100 with single carb done by previous owner . Terrible performance . Going back to the old carbs . Anyone that I've spoken to about single carb has had nothing but trouble , don't do it .
Another reason why I love my’75 GL1000
Thanks for watching.
ive been running 93 and 87 in mine for a while never noticed a difference so i use 87. i have heard of others using rec 90 marine grade fuel. i have had problems with those 4 carbs on it originally with the jets with fuel additives. nice alternator btw!
Thanks for watching, add any info you find out to help us all.
Goldwings are all 87 Octane, you are wasting money, and that is making it hard for the Spark Plugs to fire, the low Compression engine cannot handle 91 Octane.
Thanks again.
