This is the pinnacle of where freedom and creativity intersect. I skated for 13 years as a kid and still watch videos to this day, this is by far the most impressive individual I have come across. Not because of talent or skill, but because he's out there doing this for him. Everyone rips in their own right, this however, is next level.

Andy is the Bob Ross of skateboarding, he turns mistakes into tricks or as Bob would call it happy little accidents. He's always flowing like the brush of a painter. Endless creativity, watching him is like watching artwork being created. Simply put a masterpiece

Andy is on a different level, he is so effortlessly smooth with his lines that the world is just a giant skate spot to him
He really is on a whole other level. He makes things that are impossible just think up let alone actually do look easy. It really must be nice. He has to be top 3 most naturally talented skateboarders of all time.
I honestly think he's the best in the world right now. No one can do what he does, and I feel like if he tried he could replicate any tricks from any other pro.

@@reeceparriah4772 I don't think he's the best at any one discipline- he's not the best street skater, he's not the best freestyle skater, he's not the best vert/transition skater, but I don't think there's anyone else whose as good as Andy at street, freestyle, and vert. He brings all of them together in a way that's flowy, and seemingly effortless, and I don't think there's anyone else who can do that.
In my eyes, that makes him the best in the world. Not necessarily being the best at any one thing, but being near the top one everything, in a way that no one else is. You can find someone better than Andy at any one aspect in skating, but they wouldn't be near him at the other stuff.

Watching Andy skate is like watching An Unabridged History of Skateboarding condensed into a single run.
He’s flows so naturally, he can skate anything, he seems like a genuinely kind and chill dude, and he’s is 100% himself. Rock on, AA!!
Is it just me but I find him so relaxing to watch...hes almost Zen. There s such a calm rhythm to his skating. I swear I could meditate to just a soundtrack of his skating with no visuals 😅
I don't know too much about skateboarding, but it truly seems like his skateboarding reflects his character in a very rare way
If nothing else, it’s the beauty of practice. He’s talked about doing this since he was a kid, taking lessons, and taking them seriously. It’s just obvious that he’s spent an insane amount of time working on all these skills. He’s not just good because he’s lucky, he worked his ass off and so there’s almost nothing you can throw at him that he doesn’t understand. He can doing something at a new spot on his first try because he’s done so many things like it, and done it so many times.
He lives for skating, it couldn’t be more obvious that he loves immensely and spends nearly all his time doing it. He may not be THE BEST but he truly is something special, and the way everyone seems astonished with him says a lot.
I don't disagree with what you said about how much he practices, but, also, I think he has natural ability. You could spend 24/7 practicing and you couldn't duplicate that

@@idmhead0160 I think that might be a self fulfilling prophecy. The vast majority of people, even pro skaters, will never put in that amount of work. There’s no way of knowing if you never do it. But he was certainly born with passion.

As a skater that started in the mid 80's (and still hops on the board occasionally) Andy's skating immediately drew me in. His approach to skating reminds of me of another legend, Gonz. Both approach skateboarding as a sandbox and ignore trends, and by doing so set them. He is a joy to watch, is truly authentic and seems like a fantastic human. He's the kind of skater parent's could be proud of their kids for looking up to. Thanks for featuring him!

in andy i like the most that almost everything he does screams "this is what skateboarding should be" i mean he just clearly does stuff that he likes and not what others are doing and for me that has always been the beauty of skateboarding that there is no1 who can tell u what and how and when u should do something. i love skateboarding and i love andy!! keep it up andy!!

I feel like that 360 flip down the ten stair was a statement like: "oh, you thought I just mucked around doing flatland stuff? Boom." Such an amazing repertoire of tricks that traverse many different styles. Epic video!

been skating for over 20 years and I've gotten so bored with all the daily clips that are absolutely insane and amazing and technical and super impossible in all the ways. but this right here is something fresh and different. I've got that tingling feeling in my toes again that I had when I was like 10 yo and saw somebody do a kickflip. hell yes Andy !

For the longest time I thought "this guy isn't good, just creative". Glad to see that he's gotten much much better, now he's good and creative.
I've never skate boarded but still watch all of Andy's clips.
I've skated when i was really young but never continued. Seeing AA in his flow is like a magician at work
He is so allround: flatland, freestyle, transition, curbs and all of it together is one line. This is where skateboarding meets art. So creative and so much style. Finally a vid without Dan, johnny or Braille, ...(sorry guys) Just Andy. Love it!
The guy is just amazing. Such great flow, and his combo of street skills and freestyle skills make him look like no other.
Don't forget, he was also in the Olympics for his bowl skating abilities

such an artist on the board. this man can skate anything, when you think he's about to bail he just continues into some wild freestyle stuff. so unpredictable and fun
I’m sure Andy has his limitations that he deep down works endlessly to improve upon, but from an outsiders perspective there ain’t anyone that rips like him. Freakin love watching him skate. Great flow, an amazing amalgamation of old school, freestyle and modern street and even vert type tricks. And his balance/board control is out of this world and great creativity, skating obstacles in ways they were not intended or even skating things that are not obstacles in the first place. Good on you Andy, a true Olympian who skates truly for his love of the sport itself
I´m 44 and seen many skaters in this life. Andy is easily into my top 10 skaters of all time. Very creative style, mixing all together. The best definition of an overall skateboarder. Looks really fun.

Exactly. Think of what a struggle it would be for most people to do 90% of the tricks he did in the video. He flows through the park, nailing one trick after another like it is nothing
a few nights ago i dreamt that i was skating like Andy. i've never been close to 1/10th the skater he is, but man, that was the most fun i've had in a dream. he's a lot of fun to watch because on top of being very technically impressive you know he's having fun with it. you don't reach that level of creativity without truly loving your craft

There is nobody thjast flows like Andy. The most natural but also out of this world example of being in the moment. When i was a kid and daydreamed of skating like the pros. Its was just like watching these vids. Stoked hes a fellow Canadian too!
This dude can likely do any trick anyone else can do, but we certainly can’t all do what he does. When he sprinkles in “normal” tricks it’s a reminder that he truly can do it all.

I've been a skateboarder for almost 50 years, and I've never seen a more complete skateboarder than Andy Anderson. So talented, stylish, inventive, creative, original, diverse, laid back and a genuine nice guy. He is a true phenomenon!
He is a true artist.
My favorite video of him will still be when he was teaching c-rob some stuff on flatground and then goes back to skating regular. Chris was stunned that he was skating switch the whole time, and he did it so that itd be easier for him to learn how to do it. This guy is special

All genres of skateboarding. Freestyle, transitions, big stairs/rails, tech, mixed all into one. Andy truly one of a kind. Just amazing we get to witness such wizardry. Just for the love of it.

Whenever I watch Andy, I always wish I didn't care so much what people thought while I was growing up skating.

He skates like a free surfer ❤ just flowing through his bag! I love this. This is the closet to skating roots I’ve ever seen in a person. The roots of surfing the asphalt when the waves were down. 🤙
Andy has literally taken every great part of skating history and kind of morphed it into a package deal with him. I admire his skating, but how he just kind of follows the beat of his own drum too. We need more people like him not just in skating, but in general.

yeah this is the type if skater you just dont really get to see much. really unusual bag of tricks. his style is kinda down to earth. makes you think you could learn most of those tricks when you are watching. he kinda takes away the difficulty of it all in your head. he is also one of the rare skaters i see utilize being slow on a skateboard in a creative way that looks really good. normally, going slow doesnt look so good. i always loved the chris haslams and daewon songs of this world. glad to see someone is taking it to the next level. keep killin it andy 💣💣

This is like a dream, but skating. The loud echoes, the slow lilting music, the empty skatepark filmed from on high. Crazy vibes
It's like Andy doesn't have the highest pop, he doesn't have the G style or the hammer style, he usually doesn't skate the biggest stuff, his technical skating is good but not like a Sewa or O'neil. He does a lot of slow tic tacky stuff...but the funny thing is, his creativity, passion, and respect for skateboarding from all generations shines through and he is just the ultimate ATV. He is polished in every facet of the art. His balanced is in my opinion second to none and overall he's one of the very best do ever do it and to boot, he is a great role model and ambassador for the art. Mad props to Andy Anderson, he is the man.
@@HieronymousLex You seem to be caught up on the negative my dude. My comment was intended to be 1000% positive. The tic tac thing is sick and all the freestyle just shows he has a deeper respect for skating than 99% of dudes out there.
He does skate HUGE rails in his video parts, though. Lots of people seem to forget that.
The guy is the king of finesse and doesn't get hung up on doing the same tire tricks that everyone else is doing

Being able to skate every part of the park with such freedom and creativity is next level and alway blow my mind.
Andy sees the terrain in a way most can't. His lines are supper creative and he makes really hard tricks look like anyone should be able to do it. His skating is a pure expression of himself and he looks like thats the only person he skates for. It's an art and a joy to watch.

Sick thing about Andy is that he can do a variety of crazy tricks on any obstacle that appears in front of him. Plus the consistency 😮💨 Truly sees the skatepark as a playground where every part of it can be interacted with and utilised.
