TIPS TO GET MAXIMUM FUEL EFFICIENCY FROM YOUR BIKE
TAKE CARE OF A FEW SIMPLE THINGS TO DERIVE THE BEST MILEAGE FROM YOUR TWO WHEELER -
Are you getting the best mileage out of your two wheeler? You buy a motorcycle, thinking of it as a cost-effective investment to everyday commute, only to realize that it is not returning the mileage you had expected. It is important to understand that the mileage a bike delivers is dependent on several factors - surface condition, traffic and most importantly, the rider.
A STEADY RIDE -
Riding at a constant and controlled speed is paramount to achieving high mileage. A rash ride and abrupt acceleration requires you to brake equally hard to halt. This results in poor mileage, as accelerating hard consumes a lot of fuel. Maintaining a consistent average speed of 40kph to 55kph and resorting to coasting, with minimal braking, will lead to higher mileage. Buy bike insurance and enjoy your ride!
SWITCH OFF WHEN IDLE -
While waiting at a long signal or a train crossing, you should ideally turn off the engine of your two wheeler. It is true that idling at a standstill consumes lesser fuel than an engine start-up, but only when the bike is idle for less than a minute. If your stop is longer than that, turning the engine off will save fuel.
MAINTAIN RECOMMENDED AIR PRESSURE -
Air pressure in the motorcycle’s tyres must be checked frequently and maintained at manufacturer-recommended levels, to obtain the best fuel economy. Low tyre pressure will decrease the mileage, as the rolling resistance is increased due to wider contact of the tyre on the surface area. While higher pressure may bring an increase in the mileage, it will result in a reduced contact patch, decreasing traction.
SHIFT TO THE HIGHEST GEAR -
When riding, it is beneficial to shift to a higher gear as soon as possible. This reduces the engine speed, whilst maintaining the same road speed, thereby improving the mileage of your motorcycle.
GOOD QUALITY FUEL -
It is important to ensure that you fill the fuel tank with good quality fuel. Select a petrol pump which gives good quality petrol, and try to avail the same type of petrol from them every time. Good quality petrol will increase your fuel economy and keep the engine in good condition. Try to refuel your vehicle in the morning, as you will get denser petrol than filling in the afternoon, due to less evaporation.

I got max 51 in mileage on 2015 model Bullet 350, this is my friend's bike actually I learned riding on this only according to my friend his bike gives mileage 27, while I figured out that its riding style which makes difference.
I got maximum of 49km/l for my RE Bullet 350 standard BS4..
I noted the kms at which my bike went in reserve, refilled it & noted at what kms it went to reserve again.. & calculated the
mileage=km travelled from 1st reserve to 2nd reserve/amount of fuel refilled
Having 2017 model classic. Getting only average of 27-30kmpl

Mera hai bs6 efi signal model. I m a normal rider follow 5 to 5 rules of normal riding style. After first servicing i got 48 of mileage after 2nd servicing mileage is unpredictable sometimes 30-35 amd smtimes 40 not more than that. Another issue is anout headlight upper and dipper light runs at a time, as a result battery dries after a night journey of 80-90 kms. Any solution ?

Can we fit Splendor caburator to Rpyal Enfield..Only main problem in Royal Enfield is its mileage..if it is corrected mileage till 60km per liter then there will be only Royal Enfields in every house..mostly upper middle class and high class and good earning people are using and affording it..
I got 55 kmpl on 45-50 kmph speed and 45 kmpl on 60-80 kmph speed.
meri new meteor jab showroom se li....uske baad tank full karwaya tha...to usme milage was less than 20....then maalum chala ki tyre pressure was only 14psi ..then...i filled the tyre upto 32 psi...and now the mileage is approximately around 30....and the first service is yet to be done...i hope after 1st service it will give 35+ easily in city riding.
2004 electra.. pehle 40 tak bhi diya hai par ab i guess 25-30 se bhi kam milti hai.. reserve ke upar 1.20litre mein 18 km chlke reserve lag gya tha recently

I have standard 500 same engine with crank and tuning difference. Stick to stock silencer. Don't over rev on lower gears. Cheage gears properly and check on spark plugs and EFI maintenance.

Kabi b over rev nahi karta. Engine oil b apne jo bataya shell advance use karta hu. Please help me for improving mileage.

Bike delivery lene ke time showroom se bola gaya tha k EFI engine hai.... 40 to mileage dega hi. Lekin 35 se jada to deta hi nehi.Aur Silencer v change kiya nehi. Gentle bike riding hi karta hu.

From elctra 5 speed- 38 to 42 km/ltr
From std uce - 45 to 47.6 only on highway. I have completed 93000 km on it.
Pls suggest things need check or replace( engine repair) bro...
For 93k kms, u need to do a proper inspection of all the parts the replace is as per requirement, show it to expert mechanic

Go and try meteor if u like meteor than u should wait for new classic and if u don't like meteor engine and voice than buy current classic.

I don't feel the new gen RE will top on sales as current gen RE is. If you love the vintage style classic, then sure go for it. Or you're needing some few minor technical upgrades on new gen RE. You're good to go. The plus point if the new gen RE is, it's got less maintenance when compared to past and Current gen REs. The engine is more refined. It's all about your choice bro🤝

@@BulletGuru yes sir agreed. But to my surprise without cold start only i found engine sound is less while riding. Especially in my meteor. Performing cold start for 1.5 min is creating noisy ride for me.....is it a serious issue in my bike ???
