    Looks great! When I was a kid I tried to "build a robot" on my patio, lol. This is kind of like that, so bravo!

      Thanks for sharing Battle Bound, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I've always just made stuff, from trinket boxes, to furniture, to props and costumes, robots, and about anything else you can think of! I can't imagine it any other way. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you haven't already done so, and thanks again for taking the time to comment. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing the build - turned out great. I really like the way you point out where you got your pieces from, your construction techniques, paint colors, etc. Can't wait to see that teaser from the beginning of the video!

    The speaker really made this into a unique looking character! The end result looks great! PS: It's funny how I (European) look at your American plugs and think robot, hehe.

      Thanks PKT Crafts! I guess I never thought of the American vs. European plug thing until you pointed it out. I laughed out loud! 🤣 Thanks for sharing, and please consider subscribing to my channel if you haven't already.

    Very original and awesome design you created here, it looks like an old die cast steel toy from the 50's. I love it!! The subtle coloring and shading/weathering works wonderfully. 👍👍

    Cool looking robot , couldve added some gloss to the eye lense or even added a transparent piece as a lense , but fantastic build and detailing 👍

    For some odd reason, the springs on his lower legs reminded me of the leg warmers that were so popular back in the 80's...

    I've always seen baking soda used with super glue not baking powder. Does it come out more smooth?

    • @makingwithmark
      @makingwithmark  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Canescup12, I haven't actually tried baking soda so I can't say for sure, but the baking powder comes out fairly smooth depending on how precise you apply the glue. I've found that if you get sloppy or glob on too much glue, it can make the seam or "weld" look a bit rough and lumpy. The good news is that it can be sanded and shaped so ultimately you can still smooth it out with some work. I'm curious to try the baking soda now, and I appreciate your comment. I'll give it a shot and I may feature how it goes in an upcoming video! Thanks again.
