Working at a 24/7 service station, I've learnt that all truckies stuck together, doesn't matter what company or what the cargo, they always have each others backs.
They are great guys. When I was a teenager I had access to a CB Radio owned by the owner of the service station. I asked if I could use it and he said sure, he knew I had to wait for my brother to get done so we could go home (my job ended before his did) and at first it seemed odd but I was talking to people all over the world. What an amazing experience that was. I talked to the truckers passing through our state headed to Canada or whatever destination and they'd ask me questions and one driver asked a question my brother didn't like and he grabbed the mic and said she's 16 and she's talking to you with my permission. He apologized and the conversation continued. One guy came on and said I appreciate you talking to me the other night, I damn near fell asleep til you told that story. You had me chuckling that entire half hour to the depot. When my tin can of a car was road worthy I told all the guys on the CB and they said they'd keep an eye on me "jail bait." We all had to have a handle. Well they took care of me because I have a lead foot. Truckers blocked the cops on 3 separate occasions to save me tickets. I thanked them and told them that I wouldn't be speaking to them and the equipment was too expensive for me. I miss those guys. They are great guys and gals.

As a former truck driver instructor out of San Diego I approve of this video. Don’t mess with truckers.
