Great video. Looks beautiful! Thinking about making a narrow sofa table…one thing I see may be an issue for me is the baseboards…trying to figure out best way to deal with that

What I would do is to notch the legs to fit up against the baseboards.

@@HandCraftedbyJasonCooper I think I’m Just going to have the top of the table extend just a bit past the legs to cover the space of the baseboard to the wall

      That’ll work too! Good luck.

Using a sturdier work surface/vise that wobbles less will help your sawing by leaps and bounds.

Agreed! I really need to build a shed so I can clear out my garage and have a better workspace.

Was it hard to do dovetails with pine?

A little, yes. Making the cuts with the saw was pretty easy, but chipping out the rest across the end grain was a pain. Pine wants to tear out. You need to have your chisels nice and sharp, but even then it might tear out rather then chisel nicely. But as long as the exposed line/edge is straight it will still look good.

Any concerns about providing support for the middle of the table or making sure the legs don’t start to bow inwards?

I had no concerns of the legs bowing, but I did end up adding a 1x4 leg in the middle to support it as it was so long. I didn't attach it, just cut it to the right length and propped it up near the middle. Haven't had any issues since.

Hi Jason nice work and videos... I have a question about the cabinets you build awhile back... You mentioned the 3/4" prefinished plywood from Menards, Is the plywood a good quility with a small amount of voids??? Thank you for your time

I do not remember the quality rating, but yes, few voids. I know it's not void free. But when building cabinet boxes, none of the edges are exposed so you never see a void. Now, when I build drawer boxes out of ply, I usually use high quality 1/2" baltic birch ply since edges will be exposed.
