Apologies to my friend Rico Afable. In the video I spelt your name wrong. I used an En instead of an A. At this point, to fix that problem I would have to delete this video and start all over again. So, I am sorry my friend.
It’s hard giving money to kids because if it’s a public place as soon as you give to one, you are surrounded. However, years ago I had a similar experience to yours that I’ve never forgotten. I was standing in front of the Crown Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, waiting for my ride to work.
A little boy with dirty face and torn clothes started inching up the sidewalk toward me and the hotel guard made him go. He went a little ways away and then started inching back again just to have the guard send him away.
The third time it happened I followed the boy down the sidewalk and gave him 500 pesos. He smiled a huge smile and ran down the sidewalk.
That was 21 years ago and I still wonder what happened to him
