Superb comparison, I have the L12 and its an amazing mixer , my 1st mixer its a bit over kill for my desktop studio but its packed full of features which makes the extra size acceptable. 👍🏻
You could use a reverb pedal on your vocal track to turn the effect on/off. Or maybe a vocal multieffect processor, which will give you more flexibility.
I dig my L-8. Recently used it in combination with my Spark Live amp for a full battery powered church service. It worked well. The addition of compression on the L-12 is nice, as well as that footswitch. In my setup, I can run the vocals through the mixer into the vocal input (with compression and reverb) on the Spark Live, so it works out as is. I actually have pre-ordered the L-6, because the L-8 is a little large for my crowded desk with a few grooveboxes, sampler, and computer audio interface. Excited to have the smaller footprint for a desk mixer and will just use the L-8 more for multi-track recording around the house or small gig needs like that.
i have the l8 , an is awesome , for the voice why you did not use a vocal procesor for change voice efects on off instead of change the mixer i don t have any problem with the monitors outs they sound loud enogh only missing that does not have compresion
hello Thanks for the video. How do you evaluate the quality of the preamps of this mixer-recorder? In terms of noise and ambient sound In terms of record high and low frequencies as well as midranges? And is the phantom power button separate for each line? or not And the last question, regardless of the recording features, is this mixer better or the Yamaha mg line mixer. For example, the Yamaha mg12xu thank you
Technically you could use the headphone jacks I’m not joking yes you can powered speaker nothing no reply on 12 and on the L-8!in that they don’t mention it enough but yes you can do that you’ll be fine! Enjoy
Hey, I am trying to find a step up adapter and couldn't find the specific one you had on your video. I want to look into alternative stores like ali express but I am very keen on knowing the right details while searching for it so that I don't end up messing with voltages especially with the AC DC differences. Could you advise on this?
@@New_Hope_Music I see. Gotta be more careful then. You need one that can supply higher wattage. For use with the Ripcord, I'm using a 50W 20000mAh power bank. For use with the Step Up adapter, as long as it has fast charging, it should be able to step up to the necessary voltage. Good luck!
Can you pin a link to you two playing live? I reckon you'd play a cute gig. Love from London, helpful video, thanxxx Was looking at L20R then read it had latency issues. Any noticeable latency on L12 or L8? I recommend getting a 12volt car booster battery as power supply that also has 5v usb output Useful to power 12V & 5V devices High power batteries for starting cars, cheap Ever use the recording features? Didnt get a mention, big feature for me Have Zoom R8
Thanks Rob! The recording function is very helpful, and you can post-process all of the tracks individually. Hmm I did not notice any latency on L12 or L8. What kind of latency did you read on the L20? Since you asked for our live performance, here's one! th-cam.com/video/GNK1oFDNsiw/w-d-xo.html
Been using the L8 for 3 years on a Win 10 PC. Got a P8 now for mobile stuff on a Win 11 laptop through Ablteton Live 11. Wont work!! Neither the L8 or P8 will work with Live 11 on a Win 11 system!!! ahhhhh
That’s frustrating! Perhaps you can contact Zoom for a solution? I don’t use this as an audio interface, but I expect it to be a usable one. In fact the L-12 has an audio interface mode.
You could by processor of effects - Boss ve1 (reverb, delay), that’s work with battery and effects sounds - very nice. And no need any other foot switch for mixer
I found this video infinitely helpful in setting up and using my L-8 with my Windows 11 laptop. Hope this helps, good luck.😊 th-cam.com/video/vLaTyATxm0M/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

Indeed!! Thanks for watching!

Vocal processor, sure. But not a pedal- the L-8 doesn’t have insert jacks to loop it into the signal path.

Based on your video, I need an L-10 :)
Thx a lot, I've just ordered my L12 👍
That’s awesome. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
I own the Zoom L8 and Podtrak P4. I love both of my mixers.
Thanks for a simple, clear comparison. Love your work
Thank you for showing your appreciation, Peter. Means a lot to me :)
I love the L8!
@@iamnotagirl it certainly served us very well!!!

Plz give Amazon link to that adapter you using for the L12
It's not on Amazon. Google Ripcord, from myVolts.
Nice❤
Please tell me what kind of Power Bank I need so that everything works correctly? And so that I don't break anything
I use the Rav Power Brick 28900 Milliamp
Hi, how do you connect the mixer to the speaker? I have a Cube street II speaker and how should I go about connecting it to the mixer?

If you get an uber busker amp, you can run the mixer off it's usb.

Get the 12V+ for the Zoom LiveTrak L12. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@guitarstreet Thank you so much!!! this will be a a gem. I had to use my R16 for outdoor but this will really help.
How many headphone outs in daw mode?
Not sure, apologies!
Can put guitar jet to live track
Will a regular power bank "xiaomi 20000mAh" work?
Yes it will. For the LiveTrak L8.
Thanks! But I have LiveTrak l-12 . If I buy myVolts, what kind of power bank do I need? Will a regular power bank do?

Please tell me, how many hours of work does your power bank last for?
I've not fully exhausted it yet. I expect that it can last for more than 6 hours on a 20000mAh power bank.
Why dint u just mute the effect channel to cut off reverb! Instead of playing with faders!
Good point. I'll do that next time!
