As always thank you oldstuff for your time in downloading these episodes of crimewatch uk and on a other note I hope they caught the killer of that poor guy drenched in petrol and set alight absolutely horrible beyond words having died 12 hrs of 90% burns to his body
Ever there was an example of unintentional humour in Crimewatch reconstructions, it's this edition with the lorry hijacking. The camera going from the workers trapped inside the lorry and banging for help to the sudden wide shot of the lorry essentially in the middle of nowhere just can't help but make you giggle. Just the surreal nature of it. Even Nick introducing the recomstruction looked a bit like he was seeing the funny side of it. In amongst the depressing cases, that seemed like a bit of much-needed humour. 12 year old me couldn't help rewinding this scene and showing it to people when it first went out. Always wanted to watch this scene again so great to see it 20+ years after.
@@NewAgeBarbarian Apologies. I was thinking of DNA links. Indecent exposure is serious. Though till surprisingly recently it was almost laughed off as “ooh, flasher”

Seems like a "wall of silence" case. The Police talk here like they already have names. It's something you'd associate more with Liverpool or Salford than Borehamwood. But I suppose some towns in the SE used to have fairly scary estates in them.
Most Racist crimes aren't solved because they have Race Soldiers in the police force who deliberately scupper the investigation. I suppose that today they Reform UK supporters.

@@apuk79No every episode until this date is on TH-cam (except from the above three listed). David Hatcher's last episode was July 1999. This which was re uploaded by Redcard74 a day later as it was deleted by the original uploaded by Unobtainable2.
@@ryanohara476 have all the episodes that fanedit removed and unobtainable etc been uploaded now?? I think the master list needs updating who can edit it I will if I could?
@@apuk79 Thankfully all of the main episodes of Crimewatch UK off the rest of the 1990s (except Dec 92) by Fanedit and Unobtainable2 were recovered by Redcard74 and 97 Dec still unsolved was recovered by someone else. Unfortunately the three Crimewatch Midlands episodes sadly weren't recovered, or if they were they are yet to be re-uploaded. All of the Files were recovered too I think. Sadly the two Crimewatch Daily episodes from 2001 again the same situation as the Crimewatch Midlands episodes.
We're well into the internet era now. Each episode is very fast moving, and throws up a lot of names. Sometimes, if a name is distinctive, I google it. You might expect that the same name would come up for other crimes. But this doesn't seem to happen much. What's the explanation? Do they change their names? Maybe they do, but I'd expect the court reporters in the local rag to say so. Do they get better at crime, making fewer mistakes and not getting caught? Or do they just grow out of crime as they get older? Lots of men do, I suppose. Any ideas?

Sadly still unsolved

I wonder if a crime watch blooper tape exists anywhere.there must have been outtakes
Great quality video and audio.
Imran vohra case was not solved until 2009 ,, Robert Morley was found out to be his killer but he died of cancer in 1997
As far as I can tell this is the only very serious offence he's been accused of. That seems very hard to believe.
@kevrobierts8235 there was no episode that month. It'll be the 1st of 2 episodes that aired in February 2003. 🫡

Indecent exposure isn't considered a serious crime to you? His DNA was match with that of a relative he was the monster.

Absolutely horrific. Poor man and his poor family.
Unlikely it will ever be solved without someone informing the police.

Thanks very much for uploading!
My goodness! Those two poor souls trapped inside the van really upset me and i felt like i couldn't breath so heaven knows how they must've felt!
Nice one oldstuff much appreciated 😄

Nick Ross is so awkward when he talks to the victim's families, it's odd.
