- All Endings of Heavy Rain in HD. Removed the scenes that were double with the other playthroughs, except for the news report even though most headlines were the same in there are headlines in the news that are different from each other. Started with the ending from the walkthrough and made a SKIP annotation for the ones who have seen this one.

I think most of what she was saying to him was pretty disrespectful and rude especially saying he just lost both of his sons. I understand she was trying to "comfort" him but I know for a fact that is DEFINITELY not a way to go about it. Just saying.

I like the ending where only Shelby dies. I can't believe he was the origami killer. He seemed so compassionate, caring, and a good guy. I didn't see it coming until it was revealed that the other son's name was Scottie.
samnicole1993, you’re right about Scott. I think that was poor writing on the developer’s plot. Scott seems to be more traumatized by his father’s rejection than by his brother’s death. I know if I had been young Scottie, and I’d seen my older brother drown, I wouldn’t be able to subject innocent children to death by drowning later, for any reason. I think it would have been a better ending if Lieutenant Carter Blake was the Origami killer (now there’s a true psychopath, who would have no mercy towards his victims) and he was just trying to frame Ethan Mars for the crimes, and when that failed, he remembers his old friend ex-cop Scott Shelby, and tries framing him instead.

I couldn't believe it when I found out. I was so angry because in my walkthrough he saved everybody, (e.g. Hassan, Lauren and Kramer) I couldn't look at him the same again after that
My ending was so depressing. Ethan was blamed for his sons death, and was arrested. Then while in jail killed himself. Jayden had an overdose of trip to and died. Madison is going insane from insomnia. And SCOTT LIVES. After it I was just like 0.O

I did too, at least I think I did.....it compares, I got the Ethan/Madison/Shaun happy family ending and Norman ending up a celebrity and throwing away his drugs, but then he started suffering from seeing Tanks in the real world.....was that avoidable? I had a feeling using the drugs would cause a band end so I avoided using them, but he still ended up with hallucinations, is it possible to avoid him starting to go crazy?
Or is it necessary for him to fail the investigation to get a good end? It seems like Norman succeeding dooms him to going mad, so does him failing actually lead to a better ending for him overall?

The only thing I didn't like about this game was, at the beginning, Ethan suffers from blackouts which are NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN. Otherwise, it was a great story.

The thing that REALLY bothered me about this game is how you can listen to what the characters are thinking about, but at no point does Scott think of anything out of the ordinary...like all of those kids he killed
Other than that this was a really cool experience, my favorite character was Norman Jayden
That was kind of the point. The game developers trick you into thinking he's a good guy so there's shock value.
But if the game gives you an option to think what your character thinks, then it wouldn't make sense to hide the truth. So then just, like... No thoughts? It takes away what's unique about this game though. But you would only discuss/think about this opinion if you had finished the game anyway, so it doesn't matter.

After finding out that it was Scott Shelby, I kept on trying to purposely kill him off in the game next time I played. When that didn't work I just allowed him to get his butt kicked by whoever he had to fight
Ong very true..now I wanna research it and actually pay attention to if any of Scott's internal monologue has him thinking about things that would give him away...i actually think the writers do really well with his thoughts because they r generally stuff like "I need lauren to trust me" which is ambiguous coz he would think that whether he was an investigator OR the killer. I don't think he ever actually thinks things that wouldn't make sense as either...e.g i dont recall him ever thinking "I wonder if the killer made his escape through this window?" for example..coz obviously that wouldn't be a true thought he would've had. Very clever in fairness to the writers

I know the most bad ending is where almost all of them die, but in my opinion the worst ending is the one where Ethan shoots himself when he stood before Shaun's grave with Madison. Really I don't like Madison's support "let's forget about it and start a new life" and "I want a baby" like.. Shaun just died. I would be angry at her like "Forget about my son, how could you say that?!" . She shouldn't have said it when Shaun just died (like after a month maybe) but yeah okay she meant it well. The reason why I think this one is the worst is because first.. I really didn't expect it so it was kinda shock to me to suddenly see Ethan grabbing out a gun from his coat, and to see Madison face when she sees the pistol.. it broke my heart. It was so depressed and sad.. Does anyone agree with me?

TacoFreebiee, I think most of the actors were French (except the actor who played Scott Shelby, I’m pretty sure he’s American). Still, you’d think they’d be more careful about pronouncing it correctly, professional actors are supposed to do research into their characters (who are mostly Americans) and know that kind of stuff. I can’t believe this “origami” mistake even made it past the developers.

That’s possible I think! Ethan just has to kiss then forgive Madison to ensure their relationship is successful and both have to survive. You need to make sure Jayden shows up at the warehouse, any combination with him there (Jayden solo or with Ethan and/or Madison), then Shaun is guaranteed to be saved. Jayden HAS to lose the fight to Scott, and Scott had to have saved Lauren previously from the car. Then you get those endings.

Even though the game doesn't indicate it, the ending where Norman fails to discover who the Origami Killer is and leaves the FBI, following Shaun's rescue, really is the best ending for him.
Well, it depends. I mean, its tough to be in the FBI... but do we really know what Jayden would have done after leaving? He may have just kept doing drugs and waste his life away with that. Who knows, though. I personally think the best ending is the first one where he throws the drugs down the toilet.
Josh DiBacco actually, the ARI is what made him have a seizure in one of the endings (so, to say, killed him). The drugs were only prolonging his life.
Yanderela You clearly don't have any idea what hardcore drugs like that does. He would probably die sooner or later taking those drugs in the way that he was.
Josh DiBacco listen, it was confirmed somewhere (don't remember where I think in a DLC or smth) that the ARI was at fault for killing him and the Tripto helped. It's not me thinking "oh drugs aren't that bad".

As long as Norman doesn’t die during the game or has an overdose in the end, it’s all good for me. Best character in the whole game.
This game is phenomenal, it's so emotional, and really gives the player a tough time! I honestly think this is one my favourite games (As in well-made), just by how it makes you feel, the music, the story, and the test to see how far you will go, not to mention the animation and voice-acting is superb!

The story is amazing for a game, and intense, it's just the acting and some hilarious gameplay need serious work. If this was made into a movie, it wouldn't do it justice given how long this game was but for good reasons. We really had a connection to these 4 characters. If it was a film then the focus would have been on Ethan which would have been another crime thriller like taken or whatever. I'm glad this was a game, heavy rain left an impression on me I'll never forget last generation.

Amon Castro if your refering to beyond to souls your rigth that game was a downfall from heavy rain it wasnt bad but srsly your choices barely affected the ending only the last soice did and telling a interactive novel by jumping in time isnt good jesus
roronoa leo Beyond Two Souls was made by the guys who made this (Quantic Dream), not Bioware. Amon is possibly referring to the endings of Mass Effect 3, which are heavily considered poor because they barely take player choice into account.
Please, heavy rain would have ended better if it had a blue filter for the sad ending, red filter for bad ending and green filter for good ending. Then just tack on a rushed out excuse for why you got the color.

It doesn't make sense that Madison lives but the public still doesn't know the identity of the Origami Killer. I mean she covered so much evidince. And it does not make sense AT ALL that she still publishes the book even though the Origami Killer is still unknown to the public... Some things don't make sense in the endings. And I know there is also an ending where Ethan gets announced as Origami Killer.

Getting the best ending made me so happy for Ethan, he deserves to be happy with a woman who doesn't abandon him when things get rough

Also they were gonna make DLC ‘Heavy Rain Chronicles explaining Madison’s and Jayden’s past but it got cancelled and the only one that got made was part one ‘the taxidermist’ and it was about Madison. the last one was definitely my favorite. no one dies and no one goes insane. sure Madison and Ethan didn't end up together but hey Jayden quit using that ARI so he won't go insane and hurt himself
My ending was so sad. Ethan got shot, Madison accidentally died from jumping from a building, Scott lives and Norman quit his job. The case was closed and the world thinks that Ethan was the killed who got what he deserved

I like the second one, where Ethan and Shelby die, every character is either broken or dead, but somehow the story comes to an end, as Ethan saved his son but died and Shelby found a father who sacrificed himself. Shelby did not even bother being killed at the end, because his work as the origami killer is done. It is a bitter and tragic end, but somehow satisfying as it ties the ends together.
yeah i agree. It’s the most realistic & fair in my opinion. I’m happy i got it in my first playthrough. Norman’s okay though. good thing he left the fbi.

it helps Cuz the ARI is the real problem with his blackouts and the tripto helps with those....when the Butler says "careful not to overindulge in you know what"....he's talking about the ARI and how much he uses it
Triptocaine is the drug Jayden was given to stop the symptoms or whatever of ARI. The only thing is he started getting addicted to the stuff so he has it even when he hasn’t got any problems
I remember playing the ending where you are at Shawn’s grave, I lost my shit when she said that he should forget what happened and start a new family with her. Couldn’t have been a worse thing to tell someone in a situation like that.

The fact that Norman haunts the ARI now is absolutely amazing. I was bummed out to see that he died, but now that leaves a question. The buttler kinda guy in the ARI when Norman found out it was a detective and his eyes were bleeding, was he the last person to use the ARI before he died and have it to Jayden?

I just finished the game.
My endings were Ethan, Madison, and Shaun live together happily, Blake takes Jayden’s ARI glasses as he’s dead, and Scott Shelby and Lauren dead.
Not related to this video but I couldn’t believe Scott was the Origami Killer. I realized as soon as Jayden found out the killer was a cop, and it shocked me. Out of all 4 protagonists, Scott’s personality was my favorite and his interactions with Lauren :(

David cage games defifently aren't masterpieces. Gameplay isnt that great, the most intense part of gameplay is probably putting a plate in a cabinet. Although, this is one of the better written games of David Cages.
I just finished this game even tho its 2020 (just came out on steam) and i cannot believe how good this actually was. Such a great story and i had the best ending on the first play through. Ethan Together with Madison and Shaun was the best thing ever, Jayden alive and well with a great ending scene (even tho i rly didnt understand the VR tank reference), and Scott dead as he should be. Great stuff, loved it.
This is as close to the multiverse as we can get... Makes me think how important decisions are in our life.

I don´t want play the game again with another, I don´t like about the ethan´s dead, that was really sad that I almost cry, if I gonna play it again, is with the same ending, I know is stupid but, I don´t want ethan, madison and jayden deaths, except scott, he can go to the hell
