    THANK...YOU!!! I have been searching online for a while for the differences between the 600EX RT and the 600EX RTII Thank you, thank you. Now I know that there is no need for me to buy a 600RTII over the 600EXRT for my use cases. :)

    I wish you guys would open on the weekend, being that majority of people also work regular 9-5 jobs we don’t have the time to visit your store during the weekdays. Please look into opening on the weekend, even if it’s only once per month.

    At 4:10 you state the reverse of what the Optical and the Radio icons are. The Lightning bolts are optical, not radio. Radio is the lollipop with the wireless signals on either side.

    The Canon 600EXII-RT has a built-in radio transciever. An external third party transmitter is redundant.

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Bruce Smith. While the flash has a built-in transceiver you still need to purchase either an additional Canon flash or wireless transmitter like the ST-E3 RT for remote shooting. This would cost you at least $250; whereas, if you go with the Altura Photo wireless transmitter set, you can affordably trigger your flash for under $30. Thanks for watching!

    Hi there, if I purchase the Canon 60D Mark ii, can I fire this flash remotely without buying a transmitter like the ST-ES-RT ? just wondering if Canon has implemented something new so that we don't need to purchase a transmitter. Thank you. At the moment, I'm using a 60D with 2 580 EXII flashes, and use the pop up flash to fire both of these flashes wirelessly, so moving to a camera with no flash is something I must keep in mind. Thanks for any info

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has an Integrated Speedlite Transmitter so you can trigger the flashes remotely.

    • @FrostyTheBeerMan
      @FrostyTheBeerMan 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, I guess my question wasn't great, but I did find the answer with Canon. There are NO cameras, even the most expensive at the moment that have integrated electronics capable of what I was asking about. You must use some sort of transmitter with any Canon camera that has no on-board flash. I was really asking if I could do what I wanted *without* the need for this transmitter.

    • @angelisone
      @angelisone 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the moment no camera has built-in wireless radio transmitter. Just like no full touch screen like today phones.

    Thanks for the video. I have a third party trigger to use my flash off-camera. I'd like to be able to use two off-camera speed lites. The other is the Canon 580 series. Do I need a second receiver in order to fire the second flash simultaneously?

    Suggestion? YONGNUO YN600EX-RT II against Canon 600EX II RT could you tell which is better? Or if they can function the same way?

    • @DigitalGojaUSA

      We are not familiar with Yongnuo products, however, we can highly recommend the Canon 600EX II RT.

    • @ypsisteve
      @ypsisteve 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yongnou flashes work as well as expected but the battery door will break. It isn't a matter of IF it will break, it will break. So keep a stash of rubber bands in your bag to hold the door closes or buy some extra doors because when the door fails, the batteries will come flying out and hit the ground.

I am pressing the button c.fn to get the linked shot menu but it doesn't come up and I can't find this menu anywhere. When I press the c.fn button it only allows me to manipulate the zoom and nothing else, how else can I find this menu please. Hi Karen, please use these settings -
      Built-in flash func. setting Menu
      Flash mode = Manual
      Flash output = 1/1, 1/8, etc.
      (remember to lock in your setting with the Set button)
      At the Speedlite
      Wireless mode = Optical + Slave
      (don't worry that it says ETTL, this seems a bug by Canon)
      Fire a test shot with camera's Pop-up flash deployed
      Speedlite will now reflect Manual + Camera's flash output setting

      Did you really think 4AA batteries can have the power to recycle that quickly?
      Even with the very best strobes that cost well over $4,000.00 can't handle 4fps on high Ftop in TTL or 1/1 manual.
      Did you try using the ATG Elite Gold/Quantum Turbo or Altura Battery Pack with the flash?
      Still you will get faster recycle than just 4AA.
      The drawbacks with many of Canon, Nikon and Sony flashes when using with one of those power packs would be overheating & killing your flashes. But this is needed when you are doing events and weddings.

    Drawbacks on Canon 600EX II-RT and 600EX-RT that even Canon's staff DID NOT know. And can not do like ATG's ATG Gold..
    < They both CAN NOT do wireless radio Ext. A and wireless radio Ext.M, which many pros love to do.
    < Remote Release (REL) will not work in optical transmission wireless shooting.
    < Overheating, shutdown & Fresnel lens meltdowns.
    < Radio ETTL II is only to 30 meters.
    < REL Linked Shot will not work on many Canon bodies with 600EX II-RT.
    Last, the Canon ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter has NO ATG AF assist beam.
    And the range is less than 30 meters and Canon wants $300.00.
