Glad it was useful for you! Definitely made me realize I made the right purchase! haha And please do take that hanger trick, pass it down through generations
Been trying to get my hands on the USI lom mic’s but since I can’t, this seems like a good alternative! Your video sold me on it because I want something to work with my h1n that’s easy to carry around. Cheers and thanks for the test!
I really appreciate this video! I recently bought an H1N and went to do my first field recording in a forest yesterday. It's great for close-up sound sources but it absolutely sucks when it comes to distant sounds (like birds). These 272 sound like the perfect combo! I just ordered mine from the Netherlands since Micbooster won't ship to Mexico :(. Anyway... Thanks for your video mate! / ¡Muchas gracias!
Thanks for the A/B comparison, that sold them for me! Do you know if the casing can be temporarily removed so that just the EM272 capsules can be used? Looking to try a bit of binaural recording with just capsules, but also want the clippy casing for general recording. Thanks!
Absolutely! What exactly do you mean by this? Like recording a concert in a venue, recording a solo artist in a more intimate setting, recording vocals/instruments at home? All of the above? Something else? Just a bit more info would be good!
@@thankyoumisterspell Play pop and classical (piano , guitar)music from a high quality speaker and then record with the EM272 microphone. is it possible?
Hey there! So the H1n gives out 2.5v plug-in power while the EM272 suggests 3v or more. Is that too low or do you think its enough? Funny enough, I have a very similar setup but I can't for the life of me find my Zoom H1. I might have to shell out for the H1n. I have a stereo EM272 also (but mine are naked) and sony MDR-V6 which is literally the sister to your monitors. And if I could find my H1 it would be complete... lol. I have mine on a dummy head with silicone ears its almost perfectly ready for binaural recording. =)
Where did you purchase your Clippy EM272 matched microphones I can’t find them anywhere the website for mic booster it says the website it’s no longer available
Exactly what I wanted to find out, sheesh the difference does sound pretty amazing. Also, I’m stealing that hanger idea. :) Thanks Anders!

I just got them and wow are they amazing!!! -- they are soooo detailed!!!
Thanks for doing this. I was considering getting the Clippy set for birdsong and other field recordings via my H1N and now I'm sold. Cheers!

Thank you very much for the microphone test :) Greetings from Warsaw!

Many thanks for this comparison!
thanks great tips. i like the sun glasses case tip.
Very creative setup ! I will not see my coat hangers the same way now 🤣
They certainly are good 👍 It’s nice to meet another coat hanger user 😂
how much voltage the clippy mic need to operate? I'm thinking of connecting one to my phone.

Hey, maybe this is still relevant: you can remove them from the casing and put them inside silicone ears.
What sucks is that nobody makes a small stereo XLR pair, for something like the F3.
That would be really cool!
How is this microphone for recording music? Can you upload a video of it to the channel?

@@rq9649 I mean of course that's possible but recording a speaker isn't the greatest way to test a microphone
Oh yes, very clear difference, thanks for the comparison ... and 1:02 ...??? 😂
Need more likes, for sure.
