That is so interesting how they shot the very beginning with Animal parodying the MGM logo. When I was watching this I played Hans Zimmer's music score from the Jim Henson Pictures logo and it fits exactly at the right time.
I grew up in New Mexico and loved the Great Muppet Caper. However, it was only recently that I learned the opening hot air balloon scene was filmed near Albuquerque. Interestingly, Jim Henson was familiar with the area and often visited Abq because his father lived there.
