Outstanding review GhostPrime!!! This is the best Ultra Magnus figure ever released, the lack of the tractor cab robot doesn't matter. :D Ultra Magnus rules!!! Keep on being amazing.
He does look better than the MP. I think part of the problem with Siege/Kingdom Magnus is trying to modernize the car carrier look. They should have stayed with the G1 look. However, I love the original toy version with a smaller, white form inside. I sort of wish they had done it with this one, but I understand the goal of SS86. So, now I have $200 USD worth of Magni because each are different enough to prevent me from selling any.
100% I too like an inner robot, but this thing is pretty great on it's own. It's very impressive they topped the MP version engineering wise for a mainline release.
Cool review! Interesting you mentioned the discolored pieces, got mine today and thought some of the white hinge pieces looked yellowed, then looked again and thought it looked ok 🤪
after i watched this video i went on amazon and it is on offer from £92 basically to £78 down by 15% id recommend buying now before the price goes back up so looking forward to displaying him
I got this guy very recently, he’s my first commander class figure that I bought and I have to say he’s awesome 😎. The Robot mode looks fantastic, very G1 accurate, big, beefy and Magnus. Ik most people are complaining about his shoulders being too wide, but it doesn’t bug me that much due to his complex transformation. My major gripe with this figure is his transformation. It’s mostly straightforward but those knee joints are terribly designed, I couldn’t transform him properly the first time because I couldn’t get the knees to shift, due to them being way too tight. I do also find his size to be perhaps a little too big, since he doesn’t scale well with characters like Galvatron and Cyclonus. However, I am just nitpicking and the figure looks absolutely awesome and it’s well worth the price imo, the quality plastic feels premium, the joints are sturdy and he’s just awesome 😎.
The tight knees will loosen up after a few transformations. He really is great though. Size wise (Like the MP) he's scaled to the alt mode. Otherwise he'd be a tiny truck. :D I love this guy he's a great version of Magnus.
@@GhostPrimeReviews yeah I have since discovered that the knee joints become looser over time, though I am still not a fan of how they are designed. I’d have much more preferred a panel to have been able to be opened and a hinge for the knees to fold down instead, as it would make the transformation even better. Yes that is true, you can tell he’s scaled to be more accurate in alt mode, which is a compromise that I don’t really mind that much tbh. Tbf the scaling of G1 was always very inconsistent, especially in series 3, which is absolutely riddled with animation errors. Nonetheless he is a welcome addition to my shelf. Hopefully we can get an updated version of Optimus prime and possibly Megatron for the SS86 action figure line, fingers crossed 🤞🏻. Xc
Ugh, I'm a G1 owner/fan... i can't get over the bloated look of these MP's and 86's... I do like the 86 better than the MP, but still feel both are also not very playable. Don't like how the tractor connects to the trailer, as the movability isn't natural. Anyway... thanks for the review. Still a G1 fan.
Im.a G1 fan too! I've been amazed at the engineering on some of theses new figures. It's tough to make something look both like a real vehicle and a very stylized character. That's what interests me in the newer stuff. Thanks for watching!

Depends on the size of the cars, 4 is pushing it a bit, maybe bee and a larger deluxe?
