Yes!! Adam I think over the last year has become for me the most trustworthy reviewer! Love the level of detail he goes into and always remains balanced. He adds to the hype but does not let the hype shield any criticism.
Nice detailed first unboxing. Out of all the concerns you mentioned the screws coming loose after every ride worries me the most. I can see that becoming a major problem if Leaperkim does not rectify the issue.
Finally. An objective, non fanboy first views of this wheel. I appreciate u for this. No first gen wheel is perfect.... Most know about the flimsy trolley. I didn't know about the equally flimsy stand! For instance, MasPro stand is strong enuf for a person to do a handstand on it (and it protects the top rear of the battery). The pedal is crap, the (BATTERY😳) wires underneath the pedals where water can pool may be a problem. The shell also supports the pedals- may not be a great idea. Most or all these things can be updated, tho. I hope leaperkim is watching.
If those suspension pistons have separated compression and damping, one on each side, like a mountain bike, that's realllllly bad if there isn't a completely solid connection between the two sides. Bolts aren't good enough, you need the sliders and arch connecting to two to be one piece of metal. The Sherman S might be okay if each of those pistons is the same, so both have a dual stage compression and damling system inside like the fork of the cannondale lefty
Thank you, what you are saying there about the construction at the end was exactly what I was concerned about after watching the first teardown video. There definitely seems to be a lot of potential for play in my opinion. I guess only time will tell.
Wrong way, I have great idea for you. You should be a manager in company that produces Unicycles and share with them your great ideas concerning design of the wheels. I bet sooner or later we would get a perfect one coming from your hand. I'm surprised no one has offered you this yet..😲
When designing products like this, certain compromises have to be made to go into production. They are designed by engineers and an euc youtuber/enthusiast isn't gonna provide any insight beyond customer feedback.
@@Dew-b8b friend, with all due respect. As we see in his videos, he does provide a valuable insight in the product , taking it apart, pointing its faulty design and manufacturing process. If he would be able to have any insight into the design and production before hand, then many of those faulty manufactured wheels would have been safer for us, final users. That is simple like that. Just employ the guy and let him check everything before mass production start. Nothing more, nothing less!
Ohhh the hype is real. I must not hype. Hype is the mind-killer. Hype is the little death that brings inflated expectations. I will face the hype. I will allow it to pass over me and through me. When the hype has passed I will turn a critical eye to see its path. There may be nothing. Only good wheels remain.
Good points regarding structural stability, potential for warp over time, bad pedal design, battery cables behind the pedals, flimsy trolley handle, lack of rubber seals above the motherboard, bolts loosening. Hopeful these are things which can be improved in the next version, as I would expect far better for a $4k+ wheel. Looking forward to hear about the ride quality.
Amazing video, this is why you are the best EUC youtuber: You have attention to detail. I was gonna wait for people to beta test the first batch, but now... Now I gotta see how it actually holds up. I definitely need to buy new pads and pedals so that's gonna be 300€ additional to the cost already... Something like the Master starts look more and more appealing...
Hi Adam, another great video. & I have to make some comments about the assembly that you pointed out towards the end of your video. So the reason the machine screws keep loosening from what I saw is because they are countersunk, & they will possibly need to be a bit longer alignment shim screws or some sort of captive shim between the screw, & the mating surfaces to eliminate any shearing movement that can contributeto the screws loosening, & the magnesium case will likely need shoulder rings molded into the case that look like those bolt designs on the panels that do nothing. This is likely why you were experiencing difficulty with installing the screws, & why the screws keep loosening they will continue they will need to constantly be retightened, & thick blue threadlock will help but will apparently be an issue over time from what I saw. To me the Sherman S is really good but needs those small pieces, & better pedals. I think the plastic trolley seat handle could be better but it's functional.
Wow I'm surprised they didn't make a metal bridge between the suspension pistons and connect the mudguard to that bridge, rather than making an entire plastic bridge for a mudguard that has no structural purpose. Overall I think the wheel is a huge step forward and just has a few small things that could be optimized.
I’ve been struggling not to put a deposit down, based mainly on questionable criteria of looks and “seeming” smart suspension design. And clearly there are many smart elements, but also many points of concern. I’m grateful for your frank, thorough assessment, however preliminary. I’ll definitely stay tuned and keep enjoying my V11 until experience makes clear where this design is headed.
Great Video Adam unfortunately in China that Check list is very common for them to just put the stickers on there and not actually do alot of the tests so dont get to excited haha. I'm still seeing these wheels being very childish in design considering we are risking our lifes on them, as far as i can see the best wheel so far would have to be the v12 build and design wise. The suspension on this is Sherman S should be a standard now and if the v13 does not have this it will be a big let down.
Don't worry, as far as I know, their factory has not blindly expanded its production capacity, and has always maintained a small scale, nor will it recruit new employees.
This would be because the makers have air freighted the wheel, and the batteries have to travel separately; where they are freighted overland or by sea, they’ll come already assembled. I’m guessing that there might be room for an extra pair of hands to help with assembly, but it’s not as if it’s going to be a matter of brute strength to put it together, just making sure the alignment is spot on. Maybe it’s not so easy to assemble on an apartment floor, and alone - who knows?

I agree people complaining about the plastic are missing the point. Same with the front and back handle/bumpers. They are impact resistant and easy to replace. They will absorb force in a big crash if they break. The trolley handle does seem too easy to bend tho
Not as easy to work on as say the Master and with some potential problems (that may or may not be relevant but time will tell). Look forward to seeing your impression of the wheel on riding it, i do remember how excited you were about the Master even with the quality issues that you yourself was expressing.
The pedals are a big failure. The taillight too. They should do more collaboration pieces. The pedals, the suspension, the lights should be done by specialty companies in that field. Thanks Adam
@@mr_wrongway you're buddy at Nylonove said he had plans for Sherman-S pedals. Looking forward to that and hopefully with angle adjustment. It's reassuring that you find the taillight good. Is the headlight beam pattern good? How is the pedal tilt? Thanks Adam
It's an awesome wheel, I tried the v13, I own a KS s22 pro, v12ht and gotta say I love the vss the best. I bought through eevees Vancouver and unfortunately that was my only regret. They advertised delivery May, waited till June, and wheel was shipped without stock pads. When I asked why I didn't receive them they said they thought I didn't need them since I spent more money at their store buying grizzla flow pads!! Buyers beware!
Thank you so much for your insights! Even for a first impression, you managed to highlight a few concerns that leaperkim can look into immediately. I was also disappointed to see how complicated tire changes are on this. You’d think after this many years, they would address this issue. Fingers crossed you could access it through the axle quickly!
wait, wait, wait. i'm just going to throw out the red flag right hear. who's idea was it to put lithium ion batteries into a magnesium case? Magnesium metal and its alloys are explosive hazards; they are highly flammable in their pure form when molten or in powder or in ribbon form. Burning or molten magnesium metal reacts violently with water. about the stanchion tube there should certainly be a solid stanchion tube bridge or "crown" like bicycles and motorcycles have. Great review WrongWay. Well done even when you're not well. hopefully you'll get well soon.
Been dabbling in carbon fiber compression molding, wonder if it could be done with the Sherman S to keep the battery packs strong but remove some weight 🤔
Great intro to the new wheel, looking forward to your ride video. After watching your channel for a while I finally got myself a slightly used V8 and learning to ride :) Without watching your videos I would probably never consider giving an EUC a try.

Hmmmmm.... seeing this unboxing video of the Sherman-S, I am already concluding it won't surpass the Sherman Max. The Max isn't going anywhere, and will be around for years to come.
Got 3 bikes with air suspension front and rear and no problems with air leaking . So the S18 or S22 bike dampers are best option . I dont see any bar stabilizing lower legs with motor . So there can be some problems with side stability .
Thanks for the first impressions video! There are some really odd features they've decided to introduce with this suspension wheel. I can already tell that battery cover is going to be a pain in the ass with how long it took you to try to close it again and also how you were trying to close it again near the end of the video. The lasers seem like a last minute design implementation due to how poorly it is integrated with the rest of the controls. And I really don't think it is useful in any way besides looking "cool" to pedestrians from afar. I can't see any benefit of the lasers to anyone sharing the road/sidewalk with EUC riders. No one is looking down at the ground when driving, cycling, walking, etc. It's only visible from the back and a nice strong brake light or red driving light would be much more useful. You might even end up shining that laser in someone's eyes if you take a tumble too. I also wonder if it reflects off a wet road in a distracting manner. Maybe I'm just too practical/utilitarian here, haha. And those pedals, are we trying to collect even more dirt, water and mud to deposit in our homes?! 🤣I also wonder if it makes it harder to unfold the pedals with our feet. With these ones and their ratcheting system, it seems like that might be extra hard to do. The end of your video is also very interesting with your mention of how these suspensions are setup individually with no proper bridge to prevent them from functioning in sync with each other. Also the fact that you had to tighten the screws after both your first two rides is not very inspiring. It sounds like this is really a PROTOTYPE and they need to go back to the drawing board for another revision here. If I were them, I'd definitely fix the screws loosening, bridge the suspension properly, improve the pedals, get rid of the dumb lasers and also, why can we still not get proper driving head lights with a horizon cutoff when we are now paying $4000+?! I was originally quite excited by this wheel but besides adding suspension, it feels like they took a step back compared to the Sherman/Max. I wonder how the V13 is going to look like now. Also, what are those boxes in the back by your table at 7:07?! Edit: I totally forgot about those wires below the pedals too, what a terrible idea!
I have a lot of respect for your thoughts,, so to review. side cover/ shock support screws loosen, No bridge at top of shocks like mountain bikes, The trolly handle works but could be less resistant to twisting and more toward the center for better handling. The pedals are mediocre , not able to be modified or swapped for rider preference.. The kickstand/ wire cover need improvements , exposed wires and water resistances to evaluated.. okay ready for the ride review.. Overall, I will not cancel my order.. I hope I get the big boy shocks.... It can only get better from Here.. awesome showing and your thoughts.. Much Respect!
hmm, looks like this wheel might take 3rd place behind the V13 and the Master Pro for best heavy suspension wheels. Master Pro is said to be going to have 200km of range! The V13 should be the most solid and advanced construction. Having said that, the Sherman-S, doesn't look like a bad wheel, but the design discovered in this video has me a little worried about its longevity as well. I love my Inmotion V12HT but may have to wait till spring to ride my Master 50E, just got it this week. Stupid Canadian winter...Such a downer...lolo ):
I am thinking you bought that shirt while you were in Vancouver BC! Right? LOL Here is something I have not found from any channel. Forget speed, power, suspension etc. Quality. No one that I know of have rated the different manufacturers, for the quality of the material and construction. I mean I could accept some flaws if the construction is worth upgrading the unit, but do I want to solve issues on a unit that is cheaply built? How about rating the different manufacturers strictly on the quality of the built and components? Just a thought! Cheers, a.
it looks fairly well built. wish good quality steel or titanium was used in critical areas and on the exterior. aluminum is soft and damages more easily
I was excited for this wheel. but it's too complex. tire change will be a nightmare. and over time will important components loosen up and the whole mess vibrate itself to death? really not interested in paying a fortune to be a guinea pig. from the outside though, it's a thing of beauty.
🤣-I see why Leaperkim stopped talking to you. Great review you brought up some great points of view concerning contruction and the effects time will have on those materials. I think thaf while a Hydriolic shock system is the ultimate in suspension because you can never bottom it out unless the sysyem was damaged and in need if repair some of the ither areas you covered in construction may be questionable at a later date only time will tell.
The suspension is a spring with hydraulic dampening. Too heavy a rider doing drops will bottom out the spring. They do, as Adam mentioned, have two weight springs for 80Kg. Presumably, one can order the specification they desire (hopefully with tire tread options as well!).
I don't know if it's the wheel that's badly designed or if it's you who aren't designed for the wheel.. I wonder. the plastic (stand) is not soft and fragile for shocks. it is flexible so as not to drop the wheel where being hard and rigid is useless
Adam, I really appreciate your input to the EUC community, but please for the love of EUCs, stop mentioning lack of speakers and led strips as a negative. Its supposed to be a vehicle not a cheap Chinese toy
First of all Gute Besserung Adam... the veteran sherman s seems really awesome but I believe to heavy for light weight riders... but awesome again... lots of fun testing it... 🤗😀 stay save ride hard gruuuuzzz
First !😂 but wow that battery wiring will prevent me buying it.. I do a lot of trails and there is too much chances something WILL hit those wires.. People complain about the begode exposed wires, but even them didn't put them at the most dangerous place!! Next time what? "We put a new razor sharp pointed stick back and front to improve braking !"😂
The battery cable wire placement -as you rightly pointed out - is the worst and most dangerous design ever, for an off-road specific suspension euc. And was so looking forward to purchasing it as a first suspension euc too. What an absolute letdown in terms of rider safety.Leaperkim had better revise the routing of those exposed wires otherwise they will be having much more than a few lawsuits on their hands - potentially more like criminal negligence with the current hazardous setup..
@@jaiyeolaalli3885 indeed. Although I'm not sure about lawsuits.. the only ones that could risk high are the vendors.. I fear for them sometimes.. they are good intended, but selling crap sometimes. Why don't they just put the batteries side up?? Mystery
Pedals are a disappointment very unimpressive , what were they thinking 😢 , please Leaper we need to come up with a better solution. Majority of EUC riders always change out the pedals due to poor design and what we have , are mounts that are only made for these pedals which is a negative happy. C mon man what’s the deal ? 🤮
I wanted to be certain this was the wheel for me over the master, but I’m really uneasy about the difficulty of changing a tire, and those pedals suck. Why would they make treys to hold water and goop?? I don’t understand. Let’s seem how Sherman S performs!! Why doesn’t adjustable pedal height become standard? It’s such an obvious thing that’s a deal breaker for many people if too high or too low. Just let us adjust like on the v12.
Hi Adam, thanks and really fantastic video unboxing shermar S. On the other hand, where could I get same red power pads and velcro in your “ Begode Master” So cool!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Bicycle fork suspension (MTB fork): I change the oil twice a year, who will change it and with what oil, generic tools(?), will spare seal kits be available for sale; stanchions on MTB, if scratched- will leak oil, will the debris from the motor damage smooth surface of the shocks? Pedals not mounted on the axle- scary, battery wires (Karl!) exposed to the elements and mechanical damage. Plastic inside walls with poor seal. Tire change nightmare with difficult shell alignment? IP what? All in all- WT....? And when will all these companies improve the flimsy hall sensor connector that begs to be broken on a tire change? The user should not even come close to unplugging anything in the controller for safety and ease of tire change
OK, I am sorta disappointed. I don't like Inmotion Challenger because of integrated side panels\batteries, because you cannot replace the side panels without replacing the batteries. And side panels are easy to damage. I didn't think Sherman-S would follow the same design
I really like the quality checklist, the s22 had a QA tag on the bumper and 2 error codes out of the box.... not sure how I feel about the pedal hangers integration and the wires on the bottom. The screws that came loose after riding is concerning, I assure you most users won't even check plus there going to be behind pads and no stability bar for suspension. Time well tell production may be different.
Much appreciated over the lovefest eevee's video. Good to see you working with Jason ✊

Edit: I totally forgot about those wires below the pedals too, what a terrible idea!
Hoping that Nylonove release foot plates soon.
The intro made lmfao 🤣🤣
Thanks for the unboxing video, hope you'll be better soon. Gonna stick with my trusty 16x until V2 or 3 of this wheel is released.
Sad no BMS and really bad wheel change work :( I wish we will get a Sherman like that with BMS and with easy wheel removing -.-
Screws backing out multiple times is a bit alarming
hmm, looks like this wheel might take 3rd place behind the V13 and the Master Pro for best heavy suspension wheels.
I feel better man. I've been waiting on this video. I decided not to get the new inmotion because I really like the specs of this euc
Get better Buddy :)
Thanks mr Viking! and thanks for being a TH-cam member!
I am thinking you bought that shirt while you were in Vancouver BC! Right? LOL
Here is something I have not found from any channel.
Cheers,
a.
it looks fairly well built. wish good quality steel or titanium was used in critical areas and on the exterior. aluminum is soft and damages more easily
Aluminum is easier to work with and cheaper than steel/titanium. I agree with you otherwise.
I never used one of these but why do the foot rests need to have multiple clicks on the way up?
I was excited for this wheel. but it's too complex. tire change will be a nightmare. and over time will important components loosen up and the whole mess vibrate itself to death? really not interested in paying a fortune to be a guinea pig. from the outside though, it's a thing of beauty.
Legit cant wait to get my hands on the SHermie S
ewheels is great!
the best- literally
No easy tire change, No buy.
I still have to check maybe it’s possible to do it without disassembling the wheel.
Czekałem na to!
⚡ *Another new wheel, so many released so quick* 👀⚡
Thanks for showing us the wheel by the way
Thanks very much 👍
Im a little concern how I would put this together if I order.... Or change tire.
Im not a technical guy
Does it take 3 hours to change tire... Wtf
No. I want my LEDs and Speakers 😂
@@mr_wrongway Damn, you are forcing me to create rival youtube channel, and propagate the opposing view... :D "Hi and welcome to RiiiIIIGHT WAAAAYyy"
battary is huge, USB charger whould be very cool
good job Ron.
Excellent review,thnx dude.
I hope they listen to all the feedback you guys are giving them
Is the battery actually 3600Wh or is it the same as Sherman Max 3400Wh?
I guess it’s like Shermax. 24S8P ;)
The little lies, like their 4 big hex bolts on each sides, which gives the illusion of sturdiness. I hate that.
First of all Gute Besserung Adam... the veteran sherman s seems really awesome but I believe to heavy for light weight riders... but awesome again... lots of fun testing it... 🤗😀 stay save ride hard gruuuuzzz
Lol the intro is funny. Hope you get well soon.
Please do video for assembly
Why did it arrive disassembled?
the company doesn't talk to you? hahaha...what a silly company
thanks for the honest review!
Brilliant as usual 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wanted to be certain this was the wheel for me over the master, but I’m really uneasy about the difficulty of changing a tire, and those pedals suck.
Why would they make treys to hold water and goop?? I don’t understand.
Let’s seem how Sherman S performs!!
Why doesn’t adjustable pedal height become standard?
It’s such an obvious thing that’s a deal breaker for many people if too high or too low.
Just let us adjust like on the v12.
damn, Adam sounds like he's got a pitch bend wheel on his voice
Is this for sale or just still a prototype
Hi Adam, thanks and really fantastic video unboxing shermar S.
On the other hand, where could I get same red power pads and velcro in your “ Begode Master”
So cool!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks!
I’ll make the video about the master soon!
It's like you're hanging out with your kids 🤣
Gosh, is the Challenger out already, or are Veteran following from in front?🤔🤣
@@freeforester1717 it's not out but it's design is well explained
ADAM ARE YOU GIVEN A GIVE AWAY!!!!!
I JUST HAD SOMEONE THAT WANTED MONEY SEND!!!
TO A EMAIL!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
thanks!
I guess our Sherman S has a lot of problems 😔
True..but this is not final product!
@@omidel. I think this will be the product that will arrive to my door, because I already bought it 😄
@@Magiiicko did you group ordered? For me those things are not as bad as Begode wheell..so would buy a sherman s instantly
@@omidel. No, I didn't group order. Bought it on Ali from French retailer
Hi!
WronNnNg Way 😃⚡❤️
Nice. Saw this in person the other day. Shell is super hard. 100v is old but better range than 134v.
thats literally not how it works lmao
Yeah that's not how that works
Range will be more to do with the 3600 Whr than the voltage it is supplied at.
Master Pro chuckles.
I really wish I could ride mine 😓. I have had it for a while now and it's much more difficult that it appeared. Still can't ride it.
After 15s all i think is.....get well soon
Thank you sir! I’m already well!
Hi, what's the most reliable euc?
Cheers
After your review of the Sherman-S, I will be looking for the SSMAX. This unit is mwahaaaaaa....

Is anyone sending you a Inmotion V13 to review?
