The ability to add players who aren't on your club to the squad planner was in FM23 and in fact it did it automatically. And you can filter those guys out if you don't want to see them.

In the scouting focuses, or whatever they are called, you can tell your scouts to find a player similar to "Player X" or you can even tell them to find a player to replace your current player. It's in the scouting center. They really expanded those features last year. I haven't even looked at it yet this year but there's probably more functions
It was only those on your shortlist you could add outwith your own squad last year. This year gives you the option to add in any player you like. One of the many improvements to the squad planner in FM24.
I didn't realise the second one was in but I'm defintely here to brag about it. That was actually my suggestion when I worked on FM as a QA tester. Here's hoping that one day we'll get window tabs too

The thing with the loan presets have been in the game for years, I even have it in FM 20 that I am currently playing. Regarding the third tip with adding potential signings to the squad planner, you gotta keep in mind that they sort these by star ratings and the star ratings are heavily influenced by current form and the attributes of the assistant who you choose to "listen to". In my experience star ratings don't say much, it's way better to look at the actual attributes and compare those.
Hey! Couldn't you make a video where you show everything you do when starting a new save, I mean go through it all. Some would think it's boring and a long video but for n00bs like me it would be interesting. And I mean all! Everything from evaluating the squad, setting up tactics, looking over the training-ground, going through the staff, coaches in training, scouting and scouts, etc, etc, etc... Like EVERYTHING someone should do BEFORE even pushing TAB for the first time and all the way until the first league game where you'd consider yourself Ready, Set, Go! Also obviously a heavy emphasis on tactics and those things, for instance - Pro's vs Cons on setting up your own tactic vs downloading one (like a Knap-tactic) and so forth... Juat a quick correction. When on the player search screen you cleared the filters and said "this is all the players on the save" - not strictly true. Thats all the players in your knowledge area, the actual players in the game world is much larger.
Not an FM God but I think you could also add from scouting to squad planner in FM23 if you shortlist the player, then you can add shortlisted players to squad planner.
On FM24 console, you only have about 6 of those options when you clicked on 'transfer' and none of the are work permits which is quite ridiculous considering how much work permits affects english clubs. I'm the Prem with Scarborough Athletic and still cant sign players :(
Bro, Khvicha's last name is more like Kvaras - Helia, no sh sound in the middle, just s. This will sound much better, closer to it's proprer sound, but not 100% ideal. The best way to pronounce it as if there was a sound from piZZa, like KvaraZZ - Helia.
Set transfer interest to doubtful? I was under the impression that this would bring up players who are doubtful to join your club? Usually the players that then ask for silly wages, whereas every time I have selected 'very interested' they have joined no problem
Yes it will show players who even have a slight interest in joining your team, allowing you to sign players you didn’t know you even had the chance to which is why I like it - even if higher wages

Didn't know about the Work Permit feature in the player search, and just getting to grips with the new transfer options, so nice one. Playing as Man U in a new 24 mod season, couldn't sell Rashford, no one interested even though offered 100k of salary paid by us seller. Intermediary didn't work for either Rashford or Maguire even though offered as well as transfered listed & offering part of salary paid by us for both. Last hrs of transfer offer came in out of nowhere for Mainoo, 15mil under value, rejected, he was very upset at not being sold! And now whole team hate me as he unhappy not being sold. WTF. The random players upset for unreasonble actions is nuts, & injuries off the charts! Just lost 3-0 to N Forest playing a 343 Amorin system which i sailed through friendly winning 7,8 nil etc now i cannot score goal in league. lol Yikes what a mess! Sacked in the morning.
Very good tips. But I'd wish you would drop the royal "we" - it is you who spoke about these x videos ago, not "we". I find it so unnatural when TH-camrs try to speak as if there is a big enterprise behind them. Anyways good luck with the videos.

As someone who's obviously knowledgeable with FM, can you don't do things like "Chelsea rebuilds"? Chelsea still has a sick squad. I can lead West Ham to the quadruple after 6 seasons in FM23. Im sure you can do better Jake

The injury factor is insane, 1 season and I didn't have my 5 midfield most of the season , every 2 games they get injured for 5 8 weeks each time

First thing I do is the staff. Filter scouts judging player ability + potential: minimum 17 rating on each and hire them.

We had the scouting area set to world so for us it was most/ all players, but yes you’re right for others if may be different

I tried to find players similar to Tagawa for hearts and it brought up £212m Ansu Fati and Lautaro Martinez 😂
You go through all that to sell a guy and then the board block the transfer stopping you getting the player you actually wanted

Should I buy FM24? I got 23 and don't see much difference. Because it's quite expensive I'm still hesitating to buy it.
Pretty much the same game tbh. FM24 needs a patch right now as it's way too easy, finishing 12 strikers are scoring 30 goals a season.
