I dont play much pvp but I've been loving wvw and wanted to pick up Catalyst. This guide is SO good thank you for showing some combos and rotations. That sphere rotation makes a lot of sense!
this video helped me alot. got battered in sPvP and i make so much dmg now. i alwasy thought i have to play with arcane/earth and toughness runes/amulet bc of the squishy, but this build is just spanking

Hey MrSmartman! Scepter pistol specter can kill a hammer catalyst easily if they immobilize them with the thousand needles trap and burst them in an attunement without access to condi clear (ie. fire) and then stealing to daze the cast of the earth shield so they can't invuln. Bladesworn and virtuoso can also do well in the matchup. Hope that helps!
Hey Evenex! The builds are linked in the description and I talk about the traits in the video. sPvP uses an amulet system so it doesn't matter what armor pieces you're running as long as you have a chestpiece, legs, and boots equipped for the armor value. Hope that helps! Thanks for the support :)

Hey Phil! Hammer is better right now for side noding. D/D can side node on avatar/sage amulet but you're sacrificing a lot of damage for it while hammer can get away with marauders + divinity. Both are fine though so if you like d/d, it'll still do its job. LR is also another option for d/d cata as teamfighter/roamer. Hope that helps!

How would you say this compares to d/d catalyst? I enjoy the mobility but wasn't sure if the damage is significantly lower
