I came and watched this after his passing.. he is and always will be a leggendaryyy football master !!
On The Raiders defence: "We didn't win every game, we didn't shut out everyone, we didn't stop everyone, but, when you walked off the field, you knew you'd been in a game. I mean you didn't go dancing that night."
Best coach the Raiders ever had..the man was a football encyclopedia
RIP John. You are the definition of a Raider. You helped build the brand that they are. Most winningest Raider coach in history.
"Dont worry about the horse being blind, just load the wagon". ---John Madden
What makes me sad, The Snake Stabler, Then Cliffiord Branch and now John Madden. Makes me sad because I looked up to those 70s Raider teams. Yes, we all gotta go sometime. Madden will never be forgotten.
John Madden defines what it means to be a true Raider. Thank you for changing the game of football as well as bringing the best out of everyone with the All-Madden teams. The legacy that you have left on Earth will never be forgotten. Rest in paradise, Mr. Madden.
RIP to a Legend
When I look back at the the Raiders' mystic, I have three names: Al Davis, Ken Stabler and the great John Madden. Mr. Madden thansk for all the memories.
"BOOM"!! and than he's gone.
Greatest coach ever. Greatest football commentator ever. Greatest video game creator ever. Some people only get to do one thing - he did 1M things, did them so well and loved every minute of it. RIP Coach.
Best coach in nfl history thats a fact
Loved John Madden. Those Raiders teams were absolutely awesome.
He will be missed. He will always be a Oakland Raider to me. RIP.
I love his initial play description. That's exactly how I used to always get a seat on the train going home after work.
The greatest coach the mighty Oakland Raiders have ever seen. Once a Raider, always a Raider.
Yeah, watching this today got me emotional. I'm not old enough to have seen him as a coach, but I literally grew up listening to him every fall weekend. Boom! I still miss hearing him and Summerall.
The autumn wind is a
Broke the mold. God, watch over him.
I'm a 49er fan but I loved John. He will be missed by so many. Rip John. I hope God is listening to you intently describing the game.😪
