These scenes brings tears to my eyes of the fond memories I've witnessed. I've seen every single one of these games live and in living color(on TV). Love my Raiders Las Vegas, LA but mostly Oakland !!!
The one thing about Stabler that we as Raider fans always loved is that no matter how bad he would play sometimes, when the game was on the line and the Raiders had the ball he always made clutch plays. There has never been a QB better, maybe as good, but none better. The best *clutch* QB I've even seen. I remember Jack Tatum telling me stories about how Kenny would be hung over stinking up the joint and he would tell the defense..."Just get me the ball one more time" and they would and the rest is history!!!!!
Bill king was In a class by himself Hall fame announcer from day one he was the original voice of the Raider Nation great papa picked up the torch and did great as well now we have Brent cheeseburger I wanna get a custom raider Jersey for each of those guys true raider fans will know who they are
I'm 20 and I wish I could've witnessed it also. But like every franchise in a sport, a team that once is good will always have bad years after their era. Raiders are bound to be back on their feet again, hopefully soon. P.s : Howe Long is my cousin and my grandma went to school and was a close friend with Ken Stabler. I heard all about the glory days of the Raiders and win or lose, Raiders till I die 💯
Love my raiders. As an Oakland native, I refuse to buy any “Las Vegas” branded bullsh*t, they’re the Oakland raiders, wherever they play, they’re still the Oakland Raiders.
It’s my favorite sports moment and one of the greatest moments of my life. When I seen Todd Christianson recall that play, he started crying. I cry almost every time I watch that play since I seen him cry describing that play. Howie Long describe that play as dysfunction function.

Should have been mention of the epic beatdown they put on the Steel Curtain in the '76 Championship Game. Nobody ever made the Steelers of that era look so helpless.
For me personally being a Raider fan since 76’ - The Jack Tatum tone setter in the Vikings bowl and Marcus Allen’s 74 yrd reverse field td are my 2 favorites!💯✅💯✅💯✅💯✅💯✅
Marcus Allen is the greatest all around running back ever. Most versatile and complete package. Exceptional runner, receiver, blocker, all time best at the halfback option and his career was nearly ruined because of Al Davis's ego. I am an Al Davis fan but the way he treated Marcus and Steve Burlein was uncalled for.
I'm gonna disagree on one play. I'm not sure where to put it and what to leave out but Kenny King's 80 yard catch and run from Plunkett in SB 15 should be in the top ten. Plunkett had to escape a sack and lob the ball over a defender to complete it under pressure. And at the time it was a SB record for longest TD pass.
The great thing about Gannon is that he didn't really have a favorite receiver. If you were open, he threw it to you. If nobody was open, he'd run the ball himself.
What’s funny you say that but he had a primary receiver and that was Jerry rice , even though my boy TIM BROWN was the leader and my favorite receiver, when rice came to Oakland he taken the position away from brown cuz brown wanted to win a super bowl .
@@steveblackburn9124 you are absolutely correct, not sure why that was never investigated. A lot of younger raider fans do not know that story and the connection between Gruden and Callahan
That was James Garner on the sidelines giving Marcus Allen love on that incredible run I'll never forget it rest in peace James Garner mr. Rockford Files himself
I watched the entire Sea of Hands game live on TV when it was originally broadcast. That final drive was, for me, the most exciting 4th quarter comeback I’ll ever see (Chiefs at Raiders in 2017, while not a playoff game, was pretty good too). The Sea of Hands game might be my favorite game of all time. Super Bowl XI was also extremely gratifying. I had no doubt about the outcome of that game. It was played at the Rose Bowl, which was like a home game for the Raiders, and they were wearing home uniforms, (not to mention that, other than the Cowboys, the AFC utterly dominated the NFC in the ‘70s - the Cowboys were the only NFC team to win a SB in the ‘70s. And the Raiders were the only AFC team to win a SB in the ‘80s, and they won two in dominant fashion).
Once upon a time, our Raiders used to have great coaches, great plays and great players. Our Raiders used to score and even win games and championships. All we have now is past glory.
I ran every step with Allen that night. Living in N.C. most people around here back then were skins fans all my buddies were thank God the Raiders won lol
I was at that playoff game in '93 Vs the sorry ass Donkeys. It was like 21-21 or 24-21 at the Half. Then we came out & blew their doors off. Never forget it.
Hope Cook leads you in the right direction :) Meanwhile, I hope we're preparing to win .... being a Cowboys fan is hard, but I'll admit, it isn't as hard as some other teams (no offense to those).
And don't forget Jack squirek picked up Joe Theismann for a touchdown what are memorable interception with only a couple of seconds before halftime in the Super Bowl
as much as I love and appreciate what Jim Plunkett did for my Raiders, I still can't see how Rod Martin was not MVP of Super Bowl XV, or at least maybe co-MVP with Plunkett.
I love them Oakland Raiders. How is it that Cliff Branch, Rod Martin, Tom Flores, Jim Plunkett, Lester Hayes, Greg Townsend and Henry Lawrence are not in the Hall of Fame?
Sea of hands was way bigger than the Marcus run. Just flip those plays and the list is set. Sea of hands ended the dolphin three peat and marcus’ run sealed the game that was already over
If we improve the D a smog, we will be alright. Offense and special teams has improved. Offense was already a beast, now its beastmode plus. Looking at a solid Superbowl run this season.
i mean Stabler threw that pass to Clarence Davis now if there was a guy you wanted to make a Clutch catch Clarence Was the LAST guy you wanted in that situation Stabler once said guy had by far the worst hands on the team and also that might possibly have been the only catch he ever made in the NFL but well in that moment he had the best hands in the game and stood up when it mattered
I like the idea. Didn't really notice there're so many Raiders moments as there are even more in the comment section that didn't make the list. Personally, I think they're using a pretty wide brushstroke with the word "moments". I don't really consider three interceptions or 6 td passes a moment, but rather an overall performance. For me, Marcus Allen's run would be a moment. Same with Willie Brown's interception. But as I recall, both Brown's and Allen's play occurred when the game was pretty much over so I'm not sure why they're rated so high. 'Course NFL isn't going to include it, but someone mentioned Tatum's tonesetter against the Vikings in the Super Bowl, which I think is a bigger moment than Brown's play among others. But then, the NFL got good footage of Brown's face as he was running it back and love showing it to us along with the Old Man Willie call, blah, blah, blah, blah. Using the author's criteria I'd rank the Ghost to the Post game as the best. Stabler vs Jones.
yea that's the sad part the Raiders would 100% have won that Superbowl and probably by a much bigger margin as well so much could have been different about the NFL sigh

How is Allen's run the greatest moment when they won the game by like 6 touchdowns? #1 should be Sea of Hands because it broke the Dolphins winning streak
As a long time *Raider* fan I have to disagree with this list. *Marcus Allen's* run in Super Bowl XVIII was a great run, but the *Raiders* were already up 28-9 at that point. *Allen's* run made it 35-9 and a later FG made the final 38-9. The greatest playoff moment in *Raider* history was *Snake Stabler's* pass to *Clarence Davis* to beat the Dolphins in 1974, the game known as *The Sea Of Hands* game. There were :35 seconds left when *Kenny* dropped back to pass. The Dolphins had won two straight Super Bowls and were seeking a third. But *Stabler* ended all their hopes with that pass. I just don't see how you can place a run in a blowout win above that one!
TO:NFL FROM:RAIDER FAN Well NFL, we're in the playoffs and you all will do NOTHING to help us at all. Aldon Smith won't come back and y'all said you would look at it again in March 2017, or in our terms PAST THE PLAYOFFS. Also, the thug-ass punk Aqib Talib ripped Michael Crabtree's gold chain and you all didn't fine him at all. Not like that would help a lot , but just another thing you all are doing to us. Just because we're back doesn't mean that you all have to keep us out of everything. We still stayin under the radar.
I've never heard anyone give credit to Branch and Biletnikoff for blocking for Allen and others. The TD's may not have happened without the blocking of the other receivers.
