- In this video Joe is going to break down the classic song Where Eagles Dare by Iron Maiden, Joe is a relative of one of the members of the band so has first hand knowledge of the parts played from watching Maiden from a young age direct from stage.
What a treat to look at the parts in such detail with someone so close to the band.
If you are wanting to learn this song look no further this is the way its done.
Enjoy
Rich, Mike and Steve.
Great job sir. One of the best song ever performed by Maiden.
The slowed down intro is something I'm going to work on today, wasn't planning on playing today.... And now I definitely am!
Nico really loves those Hertas, great video.
Fantastic version. Great showcase of British Drum Co and the mighty Blue Bird snare drum.
Mind blowing guys great tutorial
Thank you 🙌
Fantastic sounding kit 👌🏻what a tune
Most of us watching this video would be more interested joes pedal settings than anything else. Nice breakdown guys.

Epic tutorial boys!!! - A Maiden Classic!!!
Really nice playing 👍
Awesome cover👍
insane drumming
Can tell he's part of the Maiden bloodline 🤟🤟
Forget the song, what kind of filters do you use to get that sound?
This is the only video with an explanation, perhaps someone should explain to them they're doing it wrong. Both the intro and the verse. Or at least thats all I noticed right off bat. There are other vids covering this song and half of them dont play it accurately either. Sadly drummers are often like horse shoes and handgranades. Fortunately there are vids with the man himself showing us how its done. th-cam.com/video/g7xPclE2OUw/w-d-xo.html
a bit sloppy here and there but great video though
Nice job, but the drum intro is not 100%. You are alternating between your rack and floor when doing that triplet at the end of each cycle. But the triplet should actually be on just the rack. Other than that, solid!
