Great job! Farmers are a Jack of all trades and whatever breaks or gets sick we can't depend on others to fix or heal it. We have to have the initiative and sometimes imagination to resolve the issue. That's what drives me to do it

Nice instructional video. Well done!! Curious, how many miles/ hours on the machine before the problem started? Was the issue from normal use or did something occur to make the stator fail? Thanks.

A little over full Never hurt an engine. UNLESS the crank is whipping in the oil. My neighbor after he got up in age was still changing his on oil. Not feeling well one day he asked me to change his oil. I drained 10 quarts of oil from a 5 quart system. He changed his oil every 3,500 miles and drove the car for several years with no mechanical problems. Yeah I always heard , “ it will foul your plugs out”. Never could get an answer how that happened. As they say , Myth Busted. lol

Your manner of teaching is calm and watching you fix small motors reminds me of my HS days and teaching career.
1971 - 1975. There was metal shop and wood shop. I tell ya boys in those two areas just REALLY admired their shop teachers. Each grade had deans. I worked as a "runner" one hour a day. If my dean wanted me to get someone out of class I'd get the slip to do that, hand it to the teacher and leave. No problem. Until the first time I had to go to a shop class.
Most kids had NO IDEA where these classes are. I still wore dresses every day. A parental thing. I tried to be "cool" about going into this LARGE room full of ONLY BOYS, find the teacher ... and just LEAVE. Nope. I had long hair to my waist and a dress on. A bit shy. I tried to remain *confident* but lost my cool just entering the class. All eyes are normally on someone coming into class.
This was a NIGHTMARE. There was a shout of cat calls and what sounded like yahoo! I guess a room full of 30 sex starved country boys! (Country boys took these classes.) That damn teacher wouldn't SHUT THEM UP so I turned to anger and red faced. Teacher was SMILING and finally shut them up. Came to the front and if I could have slapped him? At that moment I *would* have.
I was always respectful (see dress every day) to teachers/adults. I got back and said to the dean that I will *NEVER* get a kid out of shop class. Try another runner. This was just the beginning. That kid was COMING remember? Soon he would be on *MY* turf. He walked in, looked around the partition (we all knew how it was laid out) where he KNEW I'd be sitting, with a shit-eating grin on his face. (Wrong face .. WRONG TIME.. WRONG GIRL) Yeah, I did a short jump, got real close and said, "Didn't your daddy teach you to scrape the pig shit off your boots before meeting normal people"??? To this day I can't believe I said it. It sure as hell wan't rehearsed.
I never even got disciplined for it. Biggest shock right there.
Hope all of us trapped inside get some humor over my emotional teenage agony.

@@dennishayes65 Thanks. This boy may not even have done anything in class and I did feel a bit sorry unloading everything on one kid. There were MANY farm kids. We lived in the Thumb of Michigan. Dairy cows with some crops. I really DID feel ashamed as I wan't a "stuck up" girl AT ALL. I embarrassed him.
Felt real bad and his teacher was in the wrong for not quieting them down early on.

Farmer Tyler Ranch , We we’re cutting donut circles in the snow when I hit a patch of grass. I was thrown and had to see a chiropractic for several months because my neck hit the foundation of our house. My son was allowed by his Dad to ride alone outside. I had no idea he had left him alone. I heard a big thud. He had hit the pump house. Luckily, I had bought him a helmet and he was ok. I’m not too sure about his Dad’s ears when I got through with him‼️
