    Nice Jeep. Like the mirrors. Really like your rig. One thing if you don't mind me suggesting. Clean out your torx screws on the A pillar and paint the inside rusted spots with black paint. I did it to mine and it looks great. It's amazing how little details can make a difference. The Jeep can still be muddy, but when the rust is not visible it looks like a million bucks. Not meaning to criticize, just saying. Cheers from Canada.

    Great products! I did help build a batch a few years back. American Outlaw is a great small business owned by a veteran who really cares about putting out a quality product.

    I didn't see them on his website. I dig the idea and hope he has a pair laying around. american outlaw is a great dude, I bought some rear window straps from him and they were a game changer for my old TJ. I now have a JK and these mirrors would be perfect! Thanks for getting my hopes up.

    Wish the Sidewinder mirrors were available for 2021 JL.

    Can you use either of these mirrors when you have your windows attached to soft doors?

    I live in Miami so I ride doorless pretty much year-round. My mirror solution was the Rugged Ridge mirror relocation bracket. But as you stated, when the doors are on, it's pretty hard to see the passenger side mirror. I ended up adding a little convex to the upper right corner of the passenger side mirror. I chose to go with the relocation bracket since what I originally wanted was a mirror that I didn't have to remove and reinstall every time I went doorless. I think Barricade on XT's website has an extended passenger side bracket to mitigate the problems the Rugged Ridge bracket has.

    Looking to buy the sidewinders but cautious because of the single bolt mount. Does anyone know if it slides? Thanks

    O3D, what do you think about mounting the Sidewinder mirrors on a TJ?? I can't imagine why they wouldn't fit, especially with just one bolt, but I can't find explanation online as to why they're listed as JK-only. Thanks for the review!

    I talked to the owner of American Outlaw today, while ordering my Outlaw mirrors, I told him I saw your review of the mirrors on your TH-cam channel. He had some very kind words about you ! I told him I was ordering them on your recommendation.
    I tried the mirror relocation brackets....big mistake! I think these will do great !
    I always look forward to your videos ! Great channel !

    Can you run the second option of mirrors with full hard doors ?

    I purchased the sidewinder mirrors and can’t adjust the passenger side mirror inward enough to see the correct road angle.
    I sent the manufacturer an email looking for suggestions?
    Wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation?

      I ordered these mirrors three weeks ago and they are still in processing, haven't heard anything from the company after I have reached out numerous times, they only provide email customer service. Love your videos man but not impressed with this company at all, anyone else have the same issue????

    Nice Mirrors... but give a look at Kikbax. They are mirrors and pegs in one made for the YJ, TJ, and JK/JKU. The slide into the hinges, provide a mirror that is secure and concave and the bottom has a foot peg as well. For the older model jeeps, they even have a tab that presses the electrical kill switch so that your electronics turn off when you turn the Jeep off and get out.

    Tried to order the sidewinder mirrors paid got confirmation but nothing after that and the email for the company is no good. How do I get ahold of these people to get my mirrors or my money back.

      I had a terrible experience with them also. 10 days and no tracking and kept getting lies and excuses but no product ever showed up.

    I am about to buy a pair of the ones that mount to the pillar (the 2nd option you showed). Do you know how they work on road? Do they have a lot of shake to them making it hard to see out of? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    • @o3djeeps
      @o3djeeps  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So both versions vibrate slightly. They are VERY useable...but there is a little shake on both version. I really thought I was going to use the pillar mounted mirrors more, but over time, I found I prefer the Outlaws that mount on the hinge. They are just quicker to put on and take off because I don't have to pull the factory bolts on the pillar. Just something I wanted to let you know about. Both are good options...but I like the Outlaws best, and I just keep the allen key in the cup holder! :-)

      @swarbrickjesse 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see what you are saying...I think most "doors off" mirrors are gonna have slight vibration issues (not that big of an issue), but I am leaning towards the pillar mounted versions just because its one bolt on and off, and its about half the price of the outlaw mirrors. Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm gonna return my sh*tty amazon mirrors and pull the trigger on these outlaw pillar ones. Thanks!!

    There's nothing like the Quadratec body attached mirrors. The door attached mirrors are long gone, adios. There's the Quadratec mirrors at the head of the pack and then there's everything else.

  • @rareearthfab5511
    @rareearthfab5511 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Best aftermarket mirror without a doubt for taking the doors off are the Quadratec mirror Movers. They keep a factory looking mirror in the exact Factory location that stays on the vehicle while your doors are on or off. They have power and heated mirror options or without. Not cheap... but they are the best!

      Rich Lynch. Yep, I couldn't agree more. Nothing like the Quadratec body attached mirrors. The door attached mirrors are long gone, adios. There's the Quadratec at the head of the pack and then there's everything else.

      Those mirror movers do look nice. If I decide to ever relocate them... I'll be taking a look. Quite a bit more expensive, but I see the value in them for the once and done aspect.

      o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] I've done a few things on my Jeep muliple times to the point where it's gotten foolishly expensive. I'm at the point if I can't afford the part I want, it gets put on the back burner. I will never buy inferior junk for my Jeep again. I'd rather do without than to buy an interim inferior part. Patience is key.

    I like the original style better. It looks like the sidewinder one will just rotate down at highway speeds because of the single bolt mount system.

    • @o3djeeps
      @o3djeeps  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll know soon... lol.. but I don't see it rotating because of how the bracket snugs up against the pillar.. it would have to overcome A LOT of friction to rotate that bracket.

    • @bradthomas6668
      @bradthomas6668 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      update on these if they rotate or not?
