I love the way you wrap the ribbon through your hair - it is calming to watch you do it. You are very pretty, and your hair is so gorgeous! Thanks for the demonstration!
I bought a needle and some thread (to try Janet Stephens' Roman hairdos) and I simply clipped off the needle's end and hammers it a bit so it would be blunt. You can also wrap it in cellotape.
i see you've done nail marbling in this video, have you done a video on how to do this? I would love to see how you do it as every time I have tried it hasn't worked for me, thanks!
A perfect needle to use is a yarn needle (knitters sometimes use them). They are plastic and not made to be sharp, so they are safer to use than a sewing needle, and the eye is large enough to easily thread the ribbon through.
I've actually done this style before, but I recently got my hair cut so it has lots of layers, and whenever I do this style the ends of the shorter layers stick out randomly. Do you have any tips on keeping the ends of my hair from sticking out of the twist?
This was wonderful, haha u seem to be a very sweet person and your skill is amazing. hopefully i will be able to practice this new braid and everything u show in this video and help get me a good grade. i have a renaissance project to do and i am dressing from the period for a visual aid. :) i bet u've just helped me get a better grade! THANKS
@emmahke I had never heard of them before watching this video, and out of curiosity, I looked up some of their songs here on YT. I really like their music, very dreamy and many-sided...thanks for the unintended hint!^^
Thank you for this. I am going to Minnesota Renaissce festival in the morning and it's Italian themed, maybe my I'll try it on my other friend first. ;) your beautiful.

thanks for posting this! it looks like the hair that princess leia has when she is on hoth!
Ok I have to do this to my little sister tomorrow! She always looks cute with braids, but this would add that sense of elegance. Nice job!
I wish there were a way to do this on shoulder length hair...
aside from growing out your hair, you could use hair extensions or you could use a scarf to extend your braids
Fantastic video, I'm going to a renaissance ball next week and am going to do my hair like this :) maybe add in some beads/pearls too :)
