    I could listen to you talk for years!! I am Tasmanian, but had Scottish forebears.

    Thanks for this !! I used to stay with a friend every new year just below here at Glenhead of Cults in an old croft ...The Tap is very dear to me ......and I have a piece of the vitrified rock ....yes ! I know that's wrong to take ...but ...it was a long time ago in my more reckless days ,80's . A power point energetically ...and the whole landscape is very special too 🌍💚💚🌍

    Very cool! Yes, heard it takes a Very hot fire to melt the stone, & the rubble looks much smaller than the stones used in Hill forts...thoughts? Beautiful scenery😁. Just a thought, could you date the oldest looking rock growth-fungus? To give an idea of age? I have no scientific clue, but I am thinking thousands of years old....

      Thank you Michelle, I can't date the oldest looking rock growth fungus. I am an amateur enthusiast. It would not surprise me if this site was Neolithic or older.

    Is this really just a hill or is it an ancient volcano? It has a volcano shape.

      Hi Susan, it is a hill, it is shaped like a submarine depending on where you view it from.

    I'd love to meet up with you, next time you're up near The Tap and Mither Tap - I have my own research and theories which suggest that these two large breast shape mounds may have actually represented the breasts of the goddess Nut. Cygnus The Swan is represented in the North East, near Fraserburgh suggesting the North East is the end of the Milky Way - or at least where our ancestors recorded it in stone.

      Vitrification?

    • @BeforeCaledonia
      @BeforeCaledonia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Vitrification, which is extreme heat that fuses stone together.
