I thought Ronaldsay, where this tomb is situated, had the strongest presence of spirits on it of the parts of Orkney I was able to visit. I went to look at a croft as a possible home, and I had a feeling that the land was already inhabited by the ancients, and I left the place to them.

I’m glad some of the tall stones remain. I was fortunate to attend a Druidic ceremony there at the autumnal equinox a few years ago and got to fully experience the wild and chilly Orkney wind brr.

This one was a bit overgrown when I visited. I wonder if any local folklore survived to give a clue to how the array was used?

Is it circular or U-shaped? I visited a site between Thurson and Wick (Achevennach?) and it appear U-shaped with itss apex toward a hill in a southerly direction. Does this one have any alignment? Thank you.

i was standing right there with some of our school when the time capsule was planted, I wonder if someone did a video of the contents when it was unearthed in 2020? Be interesting to see the contents.

I notice that there are extensive planting of trees nearby. Does this mean that as they mature they will interfere with the sighting of the sun at sunrise and sunset? Was this considered when the trees were planted?

Your imagined means of melting rock cannot be replicated by humans. The vitrification is a result of a solar Nova, and this phenomena can be seen at numerous sites worldwide, and also on the moon surface and on Mars. There is only one source for such an intense blast of heat, the deposition of tektite beads on all three planets mentioned above, etc. See Doug Vogt, Diehold Foundation, series 4 part 1c - better to understand than 'believe' what our local geography teachers told us. Very interesting presentation. The circles construction is in no way haphazard. My understanding though, is that a group of adepts left Egypt 11,000 years ago and walked to the British Isles (low sea level) in order to build these Henges. The objective being to instruct the hunter/gatherers of the day to settle in one place and grow crops

I was there recently. It's quite a place. There's a torch, but the batteries had died so the phone torch had to do. It was pretty cramped but well worth getting in to.
