    You don't have to do all that work to get separate MIDI files for each instrument. Everytime you "perform" the MIDI is recorded automatically. Afterwards, go down in the right hand corner to where the little "hand" is and just drag and drop the midi into your DAW. ALL the tracks will be created automatically. Then assign your DAW Midi Channels to the same ones in each Orchestrator instrument.

    I have paid a whole years subscription for horrible tutorials from the developers. Today I finally get my monies worth thanks to you. Excellent and down to earth tutorial. Thanks so much!

    Having just signed up to this, I am so appreciative to have found this video. Another comment below supports the fact the instruction manuals are much harder to follow, and you have in a short amount of time answered all of the questions I had. thanks ever so much !

    H Chris, love your videos I learned a lot from you. With Orchestrator no need to record a new midi track. You can drag and drop the orchestration. Play the orchestration and drag the little hand at the right of the Bypass button on your tracks window. Voila 16 new tracks.

      Yes, exactly! This is the new feature in the current OPUS Orchestrator version and was on the community wish list. And Boom…., now ist there! Trank you EastWest! 😊👍🏼

    9:38 I loved listening to this!! I am trying composing for my dad who is terminally ill. He loves music, as I do. Trying to do this by ear! Hoping to give him a minute of awe and peace.
    I just have managed to make Opus work with Logic. I have no music theory preparation and I only know two chords..! I am trying playing nby ear and compose by ear. EW is helping me trying to find a way.

    That is really interesting for sketches and developing ideas. Quick questions : what about using the Cubase Chord track and Chord pads to control the Orchestrator? Especially with the midi cc in Chord Pads, that could be a fantastic tool. Have you looked into that? If yes, how is it?

    Hi Chris Thank you for the Video! you Always come up with useful tips. I just had one question @15.50 in the video you changed the output of the MIDI by selecting all the midi channels and just changing the output and it affect all the selected midi channels but in my case it does not happen ! it just changes the for the channel I'm doing. is there some setting I need to change? Thx in advance :)

  • @Notmehimorthem
    @Notmehimorthem 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    There is now a much easier method of exporting MIDI tracks - using the hand icon in the bottom rhs of Opus. It's explained here: th-cam.com/video/rrpyaJ_gloE/w-d-xo.html Also, pricing wise EW often sells Opus at up to 60% off, (more frequently 50%) sometimes this is on EW sites, sometimes only on some external shops. Hollywood Opus diamond comes with Orchestrator

  • @Opnn8d1
    @Opnn8d1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I produced this using Orchestrator:
    th-cam.com/video/TefGe5X4inI/w-d-xo.html
    I needed a quick little piece that had a clean sample range to repeat over and over on a title screen for a game. I used two orchestrator channels. One was an ensemble, full orchestra and the other was a score. I tied both of them to MIDI Channel 1 so I was playing both tracks at the same time.

    WAIT.,.. You talked about orchestrator and focused on it like it was a product that could be purchased individually and then rolled it into the OPUS package. I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but as a regular viewer... I feel as though you ran us into a "Switch-out", looping us from one thing to another as it doesn't seem orchestrator is a separate tool.
    I ask you not to use strategies which counter the sincerity of your brand, as it makes me feel as though I need to begin questioning what you tell me about products, whether they are a pitch (regardless of whether you personally get paid for it) or whether it is information about great tools (whether free, OR I am GLAD to pay for good tools if I can afford them and they suit my purpose, as I am sure many feel the same). But I earnestly feel misled by this.
    This is NOT a judgement.
    I do not know you personally, and would not attempt to weigh your character.
    This is merely a single person's perspective of this video. And, I am sharing it with you, as a content provider who I respect (and do not want to see losing support/viewers/revenue).
    Thank you for any time and/or attention paid to this comment.
    I wish you a very successful holiday quarter.
    And, a wonderful holiday season to your family.
