I say that as a joke, but it can be true to an extent. Not entirely.
They always make the newer characters start off super strong to sell them. but then nerf them to balance the game again. (All Might, OG Bakugo, and Froppy are still top tier despite being free)
You can honestly win as any character as long as their playstyle is for you, and you find yourself doing better with them than others. (I do just fine with Kirishima and Deku)
The real main issue the game is NOT new-player friendly. A lot of people when playing with randoms just immediately leave the team if they see someone who is low level compared to them. Making it harder for you to find a match that isn't gonna flop as much as you will.
Then if they died and the only one left alive is a low level, they leave immediately because they think you probably don't even know how to revive them.
In terms of the gacha, there's worse games with their gacha system. If you play daily for 1-2 hours; and manage to get all the daily and weekly rewards. You'll have 95 Wish Tickets per week.
I'm F2P, but because I've been playing since release: I have every character except Twice and AFO, which are the 2 newest ones. (I also don't have the Shigaraki and Bakugo Quirk Set, but I got Deku's) This really strengthens the "It's not New Player Friendly" statement.
BUT if you find yourself enjoying the game despite everything, you can eventually find yourself doing better and having more characters.
The only reason people used to put up with the monetization was because you would get 3 free trial tickets every day, so you could play as characters you didn't have, but then they made it so new characters take all 3 trial tickets. I still find the game fun but I would love to play Twice more than once per day.
It really is a shame they took the route of paywalling characters. The gameplay is really fun. I wish I could give it a better review, smh.
If you REALLY want Twice, you'll get twice. Save properly.

So I while I agree with some of the video, most of it isn’t true but I understand your view point as a new player. You can unlock most if not all characters without paying a dime, even if you can’t pull for new characters or quirks. The ones available are just as strong.
The gameplay is actually fun, its not pay to win because most of the characters are free to play and its not like the ones you unlock with the gacha are the only good ones.
The devs do buffa and nerfs often so there arent op characters (even tho some are stronger than others) and you can win with pretty much every character as long as you are good with his playstyle.
The gacha is bad yes but some of the characters you unlock trought it can be unlocked with the character tickects so its not all luck or nothing.
The only really bad thing about it are the 3 free trial tickets for character you dont have... It worked fine before they changee them but now you can only do 1 game with tye newest characters because depending on how long ago that charactet was realeased, playing him will cost 1 to all of your daily tickets...
It is pay to win cause the character is not guaranteed unless you get the exchange points for them, plenty of TH-camrs got finessed playing the game and more than half quit because of that reason it’s pay to win with a shitty gotcha system that ruins it for everyone else

But its not pay to win, pay to win means you need to buy tye characters behind the pay wall to actually win but this is just not true, in this game you can win with every character and the devs are constantly doing changes to all characters to try and make it balanced(sometimes they fail but they are trying)
Take as example the guy who made this video, he got lucky and pulled all for one which is the newest character who is technically "pay to win" but its not like he was winning every match.
Denki is a character who a lot of people complain about recently and you can get him with the character ticket, before him there was todoroki which was free to play, bakugo amd deku are considered top tiers and you get them from the start.
The gacha is trash but the game its not pay to win, we are simply annoyed because we cant play our favorite characters as we should be able to.
@@PinoHolly04No, the game is literally horrendous. You grind for hours and relentless hours to risk it all on gacha with also the same chance of getting the same damn stuff. And by the time you ACTUALLY have character tickets, you have to wait 3-4 seasons until the newest character isn’t the ‘Newest’ anymore which can take months. Can’t believe this game still has a player base…😅
I'm sorry but this game definitely is NOT pay to win like you've been saying. Yes there are some characters that are locked behind a gacha, but they are not any better than the ones you get for free right off the bat or unlock by playing the game and leveling up the pass. You don't even need to spend real money for the "battle pass" since they give you enough crystals to get it and you earn the crystals back. Characters like All Might, Mt Lady, Cementoss, Iida, and Froppy are all free to play and are the most played. Even shooters like Deku and bakugo (who are free) are some of the most used and meta characters.
The game is extremely fun. But based off the clips, you are a new player so of course you didn't win any, especially on PC where everyone is cracked. You also didn't have any teammates that knew what they were really doing. The game is a team game and is fun because each character has certain skills that work well in certain situations. I truly think you just haven't played the game enough to fully judge it.

Hey, my hero UR player. Top player, 1k+ hours. my favorite game lol. This review is from 3 games (around a hour of gameplay) . He obviously didn't do research lol. All the best/ meta characters are free, game is gacha but not pay to win. I paid 100 once for rolls and literally got nothing. its random lol. Most character you unlock through playing the game. The game is a lot of fun and requires a decent amount of skill. Hope this helps anyone, this dude just went into the game with negative expectations and thats what he went to look for.

I respect your opinion but as someone who makes content on the game I can tell you from personal experience and playing since the beta it’s just putting time into the game you get tickets just by playing the roll system is rigged so you don’t want to pay to win if you look at the actual cost you realize it’s not pay to win they make it to where you can get more XP and there is a basic battle pass that is unlimited and can give you all base the characters free.
So you want players to grind for hours and hours just to test their luck on gacha? It’s so unbelievable how far this game have fallen…
Some clarifications. It's not pay-to-win. All but 4 characters are essentially obtainable by just playing. And that number doesn't increase because only 4 characters are ever in the gacha at one time where a new character will push out the oldest of the 4. Then so far only one "new character" has ever been considered meta on release. Most new characters are mid on release, so it never feels like you need have the new character to win.
The downside of the game is that there is a vicious cycle where the only people playing are sweats who've grinded so new players get matched into these players, then choose to quit. If new players would stick around then other new players would more likely match into them and the game would feel less tryhard.

As a mhur player, I can say that I wouldn't consider the game pay to win. Some characters are definitely worse than others, but some solid characters like deku are available right away, and it's relatively easy to unlock other stronger characters like tsuyu or even toga, which is considered to be one of the strongest in the game right now. I haven't spent any money on the game and I can say that I do own most of the quirks and characters, tho that's not very reliable due to rng in gacha shenanigans

The game is great, i really wouldn't call ut pay to win.
Only thing trash is the garbage way to unlock characters. Reasons I stopped playing. I’m not paying nor am I grinding that much for a character. I play other 💩. Game is fun though
I agree, gameplay is incredibly fun actually. Its just a damn shame that they decided to take the route of paywalling characters

@@fembianimationsPalworld isn't a live service game like Multiversus or Ultra Rumble, so it really doesn't matter if it "dies" or not.
Multiversus is coming back by the end of the month, it has decent hype around it so only time will tell.
Ultra Rumble has a lot of issues - bugs the have been there since season 1, slow updates, little to no communication from the devs: until they get their shit together, this is just another anime game that will die in a year or two.
