Just started my concretes course and my instructor doesn't really know or use revit and is overall not great at explaining the material. This 8 minute video helped me more than sitting in class with a licensed professor for 4 hours. Great job and will recommend to other people in my class.
I have this really irregularly shaped existing building so I ended up modeling the pans as isolated footings. They were easier to edit and array that way and still look pretty good in section I just made them transparent. Also since they are the only structural foundation on the 2nd & 3rd floors it made it easy controlling their appearance in vg. --Then just to see if it would work I exported a CAD file of the waffle grid of footings I had made, then inserted the 2D pattern back into to revit, from there I copied the lines and pasted them into the void extrusion create mode and was able to cut them out of the floor as shown above all at the same time. It took my computer forever to process but it worked. Thanks for the video!
Chad : I think I'm missing a step, when I copy the voids and try to cut them from the slab Revit will not allow to cut more then one geometry at a time. What am I missing?
