Hey thanks for watching the video!
As always Jan...we viewers REALLY enjoy the different positions of your camera so never think for a second that we forget the time and effort you spend in getting us these awesome scenes! A bonus too in hearing the reasons on how you cut your harvests a certain way. Makes total sense too in the big picture! Loved the chit chat between you and Neline! Appreciate you two having each others backs! A lot to do preparation wise but as you mentioned it is worth doing it yourselves! Hoping the rain came and took care of the thirst for the crops! Those Drone Shots never disappoint! Thanks as always for letting us all hang out on your Farm! Cheers From COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 🙏
Well said, cheers from Eastern Oregon!
@@robertdouglas4130 Cheers Robert and hoping all is well on The Left Coast!
Jan, your videography and editing skills keep getting better and better. The newly clearing strip of land is a big bonus. Thanks for the content.
Great video, Yan, as usual. You all work so hard. We do hope and pray that you get more rain. The way you and your sister work together is heartwarming. Great family, great farming.
* sisters.
Sask farmers lol They are one of a kind. Usually on a rainy day you'll find all of them out back the sheep barn kissing with kin.
I have been praying that y'all get the rain you need.
Great video and lots of nice drone shots with some upbeat music was appreciated. From June 14-20, we received 8" of rain here in Central Alberta, after almost drought conditions and extreme heat. What a relief from the hot and dry weather! 'Billion' dollar rain for the foestry workers, farmers and ranchers, and hopefully prevented a 2023 forest/crop and cattle disaster. With also 1-2 feet of snow is some parts of the Rocky Mountains...here comes winter.
Nice to see Neline! Hopefully everyone here is watching her on Dairy on the Prairie, she also does a great job with her camera.
Now you got some more farm land to farm and help feed the world with whatever you're growing on it. They did a good job clearing that all out and getting it ready to plant. Here in the United States farmers and many of them are having solar panels put on their land, acres and acres and acres and it is farmland gone forever, it's incredibly sad.
If we don’t protect the farmland, where will we get our food? China
I live in central Indiana. Yeah we have our share of solar farms. In a couple years when the plastic begins to crumble and have to be crushed and recycled and rebuilt into 2-liter coke jugs the solar farmer scores. Great video. Send some rain South.
Great video Jan!
Not neccessarily losing farmland. Some of the new solar farms are being built head-high above the ground, thus allowing sheep, goats, maybe even pigs to graze on the land under the solar panels.
@@timothymbonham4453 I haven't seen that in Minnesota, yet. It certainly makes sense to at least use the land under the solar panels. You certainly wouldn't have to fertilize, ha.
@@cindifischer6919 🤣@ "Fertilization!" Fecal Matter REALLY Does Matter! GO GOPHERS
Definatly a double edged sword. Nothing brings on a rain more than the cutting of fresh Alfalfa. Can’t say no to some rain though this year. I measured around 11mm here, too bad it moved east when it did, the city probably got more. Good luck with the silage and stay safe.
Glad you got some rain !
Good day in the rain.. Gee this videos are so enjoyable for me Granny Oregon. Thanks so much
You can have some of our rain here, I am glad to share! Storms moved in last friday, downed power lines, they called the electric linemen from other states to come help restore power. Some were out of power for 5 days, running on generators. Temps of 105° made things even worse with no air. It's been rough with no power, intense heat. BEV from Mississippi, USA
The first cut looks great! Bet it smells great. It sure looks pretty from the drone all the rows. Love the green. Super excited for the rain too. Now the field will grow again for the next cut.
Great video Jan!! I love the fact that you try to do everything in house and you have the labor to do so. As far as labor I remember seeing a hired hand or two but you also have your sisters running around. In the sibling hierarchy, who is the oldest to the youngest and how old are they? Are all of you going to make farming together everyone's career? I think that that would be fabulous!!
adairyontheprairie aka Neline Kielstra is 27 Saskdutchkid aka Jan Kielstra is 24 Mirjam Kielstra is Next so Neline is the Oldest Mirjam is the Youngest Jan is the Middle Child Neline is the First Jan is the Second Mirjam is the Third.
Happy to see you got some rain. I'm sure more would be useful. Thanks for the excellent video!
Thank you and thanks for the rain
cool jam on the cutting cottage.
You always should cut hay if rain is on the forecast. Just to make that rain want to fall even more on your land. Also leaving truck windows open will help attract that rain.
Glad y’all got some rain
Swathers always look like they are built backwards to me. 😁 Good to see Nalene.
Good job guys and girls
Great job young man and to your sister as well. You mention that you have sandy soil, how does that work for you? It works great for our potatoes here in P E I. Anyway, keep up the great work! Happy farming!!.
That's why they need to spred lots of manure on the land that will be planted. They also have a huge sand pit; that they use for animal bedding
Hoping that we see rain in this video. This video was packed with lots of different jobs and that makes it really interesting. Ahhh the rain does come. Nice to see the extra acreage to plant. Great video and thanks Jan.
Great job swathing hay Neline
Great video Jan!!Hope there is some feed in those swaths.Crops will definitely benefit from this rain!!Greetings from Slovenia!!!
It's OK for cut alfalfa to get rained on that much? And your sister Neline is a doll - whoever gets to marry her is one seriously lucky dude.
Fyi she has a boyfriend who she lives with in town
A question Jan who does the scheduling for the work ? I’m pretty sure the whole of Canada is in need of rain for crops more importantly to help control the fires.
BOSS MAN also known as Dad
Great Video Jan
Jan great editing & drone shot’s 👌
🤙🤙👍👍
Great job swathing hay Jan
Praying you and all farmers get the rain you all need. Long slow and steady.

Excelente video me gusta ver sus videos, felicidades, buena suerte.
Jan when are we going to see you in your shorts and tank top combo?
Thought we might see Jan tear off his shirt and run bareback into the rain that came!
Really enjoying your videos Jan. Greetings from the Netherlands ! 👍🏻😉
Having crops harvested by someone else usually costs money as well so it’s always cheaper to harvest the crops yourself 😊
She just cut a goat snack on her way back in. They LOVE tree branches!
Always good to see farms actually farming.
As for that new strip, that would pass for a farm in most countries...
love your vids!!!! Peace, Rob
Nice vid, but no sounds of that beast doing the dirt work.
If the tire on the loader keep leaking you could try putting some tireject tire sealant in it.
It has worked good for me
great video love it
That was good Video Jan!
GOOD MORNING ALL
The only way to make it rain is to cut your hay!!!!
🤣
What is up Jan from the imperial county California 👍
Hello Brother.
Glad you're getting some rain
What!, no cow footage nice drone shots Jan enjoyed the show have a great day love from TEXAS ❤
You make excellent videos. I live on a much smaller scale beef farm in the states, but I enjoy watching your dairy operation. I can relate to the struggle to innovate things as a child of the farm working with dad. I was wondering, what are your thoughts on life after death, God, the Bible or religion in general? Have they changed significantly or in any way over the course of your life?
Have you or your dad looked at the cost differential of raising your milking herd and your beef cattle with entirely purchased feed? Less investment/capital in land, equipment, labor, etc. Wondering if you went "capital light" with less how much more could you make.
Take rain over the cutting my man. Don’t watch the rain for too long. My grandpa told if you watch it rain it’ll scare it away. Oh and what’s up with the straw bails left in the fields. Yes we watch Neline’s channel too.😂
Don't break anything, or you'll never hear the end of it
Awesome video Jan.
Hi my friend. I want to ask you which better for feeding catte triplet mixer or supreme mixer. Thanks
Dude no disrespect, but you’re sister is a bad ass hard working woman.Iam sure you are glad she’s around in the farm operation. You guys all work hard. Love your videos. Tks a bunch.
Do you know that he has two sisters? One showed cutting and another one showen throwing tires
Thank You. Be safe.
Another very interesting video Thank you
Hope you got the rain.
Jan I was Watching Eric's youtube channel when I got your message as you Know it's a bit impossible to watch two channels at the same time on one Laptop..
🇨🇦
🥰
Is that a tree or Euclid scaper?
YEAAAAAAAAAA BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Your sister is so cute.
Do you have a problem with a 30' Draper hatter dropping too fast
Good looking crop!!!!
Sooo...who polished the windows??
thanks for the tire toss
Time for a new windshield, eh?
Do you have a conditioner on your swather? I couldn’t tell from the video.
Jan... What happened to your windshield?
jan ask for more rain air quality is finally getting better
Boy o boy, man o man, what a nice video once again. Danke wol Jan. Groetnis ût Fryslân.
I cringed when I saw you standing in front of that running swather. My best friend lost his right arm at the elbow because he hopped of his swather to quickly clear some debris.
Why don’t you use the Ford 4wd with a Blade? Would that not be heavier than that loader?
With no extra attachments, they both weigh about the same.
@@MellowYe77ow Thanks for the answer. I mostly always see 4wd’s with Silage Blades pushing/packing Silage.
Hey 👋😊
That beauti full.thick .stand of Lucerne your cutting.
Doe is een video op z’n Nederlands :)
Your sister could beat all of in an arm wrestling contest. Bad ass way to go
Nice
Well don, ineed ajob to work in your farm ,iam from uganda in Africa thank you
You need to stay and build your own country!
Cheers From Ohio In The States!
This matchine name ? Company?
If you're asking about the swather, it's MacDon M205, with a MacDon D65-S Draper header. They also have a MacDon A40-D auger header.
Make a sacrifice to the rain gods - wash your truck! 🤣
14:12 je hebt een leuke zus. hoe oud is ze als ik vragen mag?
Older sister Neline; who was driving the swather; she is 27; she has a boyfriend. Younger sister Mirjam who was throwing tires.
Will pray 4 proper rain in JESUS NAME
❤
