Recently discovered your channel, love it! I've been bikeless for a long long time, Though i always dream of long travels on a bike... watching Nick Sanders on TV when I was a kid in the early 90's, doing rtw on an Enfield Bullet started it for me. Wanted an Enfield ever since. I lived in Bulgaria for a bunch of years. I'm feeling like a trip there on a bike from the UK is calling me maybe next year 😆

Good for you guy's to travel like this and post these little videos, makes our days enjoyable. I travel with work so not quite the same. Another 3-5 years and then retirement and then travel to somewhere warm. I'm from the UK originally and live in Canada where the winters are dreadful. Already 2 feet of snow and -20c outside. Just came home from India for a week and to go from 33c to -20c is hard on the body!!!!

We have visited Barcelona numerous times and never get tired of it, in fact we were last there two weeks ago and visited the beach close to the city centre, to be honest we were not impressed, looked tired with many vacant shore front buildings and little going on.
On the other hand Barcelona city centre as busy as ever and still many fresh areas to explore every time we visit, the side streets are a maze that stretch for what seems like forever.
Looking forward to your vlogs both in a city we know so well, ride safe.
Very interesting re the beach Lee, I’ll keep an eye out for this when we pass by. The side streets have so many great independent shops- we’ve spent hours there already🙂

Good film, I agree with you, Barcelona and region is one of the best parts of Europe to live. I also agree that low overheads is the way to go. You've heard the saying: "I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go." Taking out big loans for cars or bikes is all very well but it means nose to the grindstone for the foreseeable future. I have a cheapish car and bike like you do, a diesel Astra estate, 7 years' old (bought as a one-year-old ex hire car for peanuts) and a BMW R1200R, now ten years' old, which I bought off eBay cheaply when it was two or three years' old. Cash purchases, so now I can work part-time and spend the rest of the week messing about. Happy Days!

Thanks for explaining how you manage to be permanently on holiday, as we were wondering how you did it. As a 60 year old grinding out 10 hour nightshifts in Englands wokest supermarket (you'll be looking forward to the Christmas ad) it seems like an idilic if a little precarious lifestyle. We loved Barcelona when we went there for a week early April a few years ago, we caused some bemused looks as we walked around in shorts and tee shirts , all the locals were in winter clothes but we live over 1000 ft above sea level in the Staffordshire moorlands so 20c plus is tropical.

In your way up (if you go back crossing France) don't forget as stated before by someone else to visit and ride the roads of Costa Brava. If you liked this beach, you'll get your mind blown away there. Anywere, Calella, Pals, Tossa de Mar, Cadaqués, Blanes, etc.... just go find a good location with small beach and enjoy the Sun, the food, the roads.....
Now, I guess you are in the Maresme area, remember that since some months ago tickets for the Train and public transport have been reduced (actually regular Renfe tickets are for free if you use it X times a month) for the days you don't feel like using your bike; but also remember that this increases the number of users and that this train line prones to fail. Specially from Barcelona to El Maresme and back. Yet you can give it a go if you like to.
In Badalona (quite near to you right now in the sense to Barcelona) you have a handful of nice places to eat out in the sea side, specially close to Sant Adrià. And then you can just ride to our city, but keep your bike safe as many bikes get stolen here daily. (mine was).
Now: I was checking on the calendars and websites about Local Parties, like City Parties and in November we usually don't have many (it's more a September or June thing) but there is one in Altafulla (south, to Tarragona) and this is it just in case you wanna check it. Probably there will be local folklore like Giants, Human Towers and Sardanes dancing plus food ,of course. And diables and fireworks (images: I have found a link with them here: www.viulafesta.cat/activitat/festa-major-de-sant-marti-daltafulla-2/)

A divorce and Brexit cost me my beautiful town house in Spain, but one day I WILL be back. Its the most beautiful diverse and welcoming country with fantastic people and culture, let alone quality of food and life. You compliment each other in these films and drives me to get back there even if it is for 90 days at a time. When I spent time there we lived eating out most evenings but was in a remote part. Life was fab

We were planning on residency as were on cusp of retirement but when you lose 60% of your finances at 60 yrs old not an easy recovery. Glad u sorted urs though. I backpacked in the Cyclades for 6 months after uni

I am also a follower of Itchy Boots and see she has to do temporary importations of her motorcycle as she crosses borders that usually involve a lot of paperwork, paying insurance and general bureaucracy. Do you not have to deal with this for the bike car and trailer because you are EU citizens? Love the quality of your vlogs and look forward to every new post.
I love Itch Boots too!🙂👌🏻 I hate paperwork so luckily have never had to do any (or at least I hope I haven’t had to!), because the EU offers free travel without restriction.

No problem with the balcony this time. Not like you know me but hurt myself last week at work and now walking with a walker 50 feet at a time. Will live with your videos on TH-cam till I get back on the bike as I am 100 percent motorcycle and need to get to work on one and I do PT as a living. Retrolisthesis to L4-L5. Not fun. Don't work with things that are heavier then your back can handle

IMO the biggest problem with any Spanish apartment is thin walls and noisy, very noisy neighbours. I guess for a few weeks you might get lucky, but long term in Spain, especially in the towns and cities, loud TVs, children, shouting, doors banging all day and night can be horrendous. Had the same problem in Cancun in Mexico!

But I'm convicted by the Holy Spirit after watching this video that I must share to you the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Everything what we do in our lives, if Christ is not in us, we are nothing. In the end it's not all worth it. God wants us an abundant and joyful life with Him. He died on the cross so we may be forgiven to all our trespasses, and He rose again after 3 days, and He is alive forevermore. Come to Christ. Surrender your life to Christ. Every soul is important to Him. Choose Christ. Salvation is free, God is inviting everyone of us to come to Him, repent, and surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. May the grace of the Lord be with all🙏☝️
I don't think you really answered the question concerning how you afford this lifestyle. You didn't state the source of your income. Does your TH-cam money, and video sponsorship, cover your expenses? BTW, thanks for not eating, or drinking, in this video.
