    ⚠ Attention! This video contains a mistake:
    1:58 - the tightening torque is 15 Nm, not 25 Nm.
    We're sorry for the inconvenience.

    Note: when ever torquing anything, always avoid any jerking of the wrench, a smooth constant tightening until it clicks. The video shows exactly how not to torque the plugs. other than that, good.

    Shiny plated plugs do not need anti seize grease, (read online NGK's advice) you run the risk of over tightening. Dropping the plugs in was also a no no. Put them in carefully with the socket.

    I think that is better to open one ignition spark plug at a time. Keep rest closed.

    Hi, do the same saprk plugs fit on a Ford Focus 2 1.8 L TDCi (2006) ? Amazon suggest different models (long ones) and on your video you use small ones ?
    Thank you

      On the video spark plugs for a gasoline engine, on a diesel engine spark plugs are completely different.

    Also be aware crack ceramic from old plugs must not go into the whole . As it will directly go into the engine. Maintain straightly positioned wrench throughout .
    Speaking from expereince here not a book 👌🏾

    Hi, why do the spark plugs not come with washers?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this case, by design, the sealing is due to the existing taper on the plugs.

    Dropping the plugs not a good ideea, especially of you are not experienced, anyway good tutorial is just missing the recommended gap size for plugs, which is 1mm for 1.6 petrol focus mk2

    OMG. Don't drop spark plug in 😂. Also don't use anything on the thread as all that gunk will drop in the cilinder next time you pull out the plug.
