That was just very great Mitchell. What happens to the bulk stuff is it burned or buried in the landfill??Surely they don't recycle it only thing worth recycling is the metal..Those were some raunchy looking old mattresses LOL..
Thanks! I'm pretty sure they take these loads to a sorting facility to recover the green-waste, metal and recycling like the cardboard... not positive on that one thought.
To be honest I don't really notice the cars flying past me, too busy making sure I'm keeping the truck in the camera lense. I only take notice of cars at work when I'm crossing the road... that's when you come across some real idiots!
Oh ok thats cool.We have automatic metal recycling here. And what that means is there is fierce compition when someone throws out metal of just about any kind.I myself will stop and grab an air conditioner. One day i saw one but was in my car i went str8 home got me truck but when i arrived an old man was allready loading the airconditioner on his truck.Believe me all matal with any value is automatically sold for cash. if more was given for plastic and cardboard there mite be less laying around!
There were two reasons for that: 1) The body was filling, until the ejector got moved forward 2) When a bulky load is getting packed, sometimes the blade isn't backed with enough pressure to completely close over / crush the material
I haven't posted much footage of an Isuzu, don't see them around very often. You can betya Rockdale is south-west or Botany, neighbouring councils. Yeh can't believe how many mattresses were thrown out! Thanks!
Hey Mitchell don't that make you angry the way those cars are flying by i would hate to be working on that truck out there.Cause some object mite accidently fly out of my hands and accidently hit one of those cars damn speeding devils.Even if its a highway Mitchell they could slow a little when they see that truck.
Great work Mitch there's a lot of beds and wood and that's a really nice truck thanks uploading this video.
Awesome job! I like to hear the story of your adventure!

In the United States you have to take mattresses and wood and other stuff to the junk yard or the transfer station
Yeh it'd be cool to see how the Leach does in Oz. I reckon the guys would love the packer, maybe the force but not the speed haha

They take it to Pioneer waste managment centre at Taren point. I dont know what landfill it go's to after that.
@OfficeMackerel I meant the sweaper part of the blade.
Thanks! I'd love to film a bathtub getting crushed, just depends on the luck I have coming across that...
Truck probably was full or nearing it

hahaha Sounds like it's time you by yourself a rifle and establish the fact that you own all the metal that gets put out for collection =]
