Hurstville Clean-Up Pt 1

- During my last visit to the council I did a quick run for a couple of kilometres from the Tuesday service area to the clean-up zone to catch this truck. I only had to run through a few streets, where I came to be standing on the main road and caught the flashing beacon of this rig in the distance.
I was hoping to bump into the really old Formula 5000 that they used to have on clean-up, but a few days earlier found out it had been moved down to Canberra, which totally sucked! Instead I got to video this JP5 collecting all the un-wanted junk that had been tossed out onto the kerb. There wasn't as much material out compared to what I expected, but there were still a few nice piles put out for collection - the one in this video was a MUST to get on video... where does one household keep all this garbage?!

Maybe the slide cylinders aren't starting their stroke at the same time, so one's finishing that little bit later. Might be a worn valve, but yeh, maybe worn shoes too?

You know I'm actually not too sure on that one. I'm trying to think if it goes to Pioneer Waste Management for sorting first, but if not there, direct to landfill.
At 1:02 & 1:46, the whole mechanism shifts to the right some when it comes down. Pretty much, anytime the blade comes down before it sweeps into the hopper. Worn guides?

That's TH-cam for ya... I noticed recently that some comments would disappear temporarily, and would then return minutes later?! You can betya that was a traffic cone... never noticed him throw it to the side actually.

That plastic chair would have fit nicely in my collection and do you know what I go out of my way to say to people that throw away useable plastic chairs "I would have paid you for these - too late!!" and I walk off.

@stevesuk Some people are interested in this type of heavy machinery, and this is the action we find interesting. You don't have to go and write a dickhead comment about it mate...

Thats a big pile of junk! It sure is a slow process throwing it in by hand. My process here is way faster! 5* and Fav though!

1:18, CRT, should be recycled because of the lead.. and didn't sweep up the glass on the ground

@stevesuk Hurstville Rules :) Was much better in the 80's though....
What an idiot at 5:10. He knows they are sheets of glass yet throws them into the hopper knowing they will shatter & the fragments came out of the hopper onto the street & at him. Luckily, none came at his face & hopefully no one's tire will pop from running over the glass. I would have laid them in the hopper but that makes too much sense. Also, noticed that when this blade opens & the assembly slides down so the blade is over the hopper, the whole assembly shifts a little bit to the right.
