My dad was a a quiet, elegant man and avid gardner. One beautiful Spring day, I pulled into the driveway of my parents house and there he was, on his hand and knees planting little yellow flowers and singing "I believe in Marigolds, you smelly thangs, you smelly thangs, you". Totally out of character for him and I was laughing so hard I nearly drove into a tree. I'm 70 years old now and I still miss him every day. RIP, Pop.
Oh my goodness 😂 now that line is going to be in my head everytime I play this 😊 my grandma planted so many of them in all her gardens. Thanks for sharing that's a good one he was definitely having a good time that day. You'll be together again some day, tell him there's tons of us singing his song now, because it's a sticker.
Omg my wife and I used to disco dance to this then we were 20 years old . Today we are still recalling all those awesome songs of our life at the age of 67 . You young ones enjoy life and music. But of course don’t us forget our creature( god ) . Married 47 years and still in lov with each other through good and bad times . Lov you my darling wife lupita - your hubby Juan
Congrats! My husband & I just had our 49th & we're still in love too❤!!! & Loved to dance to it then & take some twirls now & then when we hear our favs,he's 77 & I'm 72 😊
The 1970s was the last decade where just about anything we wanted to do as teenagers, we did. We had good music, places to meet, clothes to buy, cars to drive and mostly cheap gas. The dollar had real purchasing power and I miss the 70s now more than ever. I couldn't get enough of Disco, I played it in my car, bought cassette tapes, 8 track tapes and vinyl records. Now I'm 61, and still listen to the songs made during the Disco era.
I'm 13, I collect old VHS Tapes, records, cassettes, etc. I Iove this stuff and the Era of the 50s-70s music/film is awesome. No other kid I've ever met is like me. A damn shame.
Thare are few, I’m one, but I’m 19. For you to like these songs too? One I feel Thares hope in our generation and that thare are others out thare. Lemme guess, your parents are from the eras of the greats and you like their music? That’s how I got my taste
There's only so many words you can use in so many different ways then all that's left is remakes and making sounds in different ways time for words ran out year's ago now we go into the blackhole 👋😢🗯️bye forever.
I'm 58, and I still would rather listen to music 30 years or older. And can remember all the lyrics! But can't remember yesterday or last week!!! LMAO!!!

After having my seizures, headaches, light heads, throwing up several times and going to the emergency room today. This song lifted up my spirits and made me feel so much better by singing it. Thank you Hot Chocolate; I believe in miracles ✊✊
I'm 51 and white as notebook paper but music from this era like this has always been my jam, can't listen to it without my body moving! (btw, In my mind I move like a soul train dancer, in real life not so much!)
thats because our ancestors were moved by different rhythms with different styles of dance. I doubt you could take a african, let him listen to gaelic musice and they instantly be able to do the jig. like it or not, the races are different, thats what makes us all so special and unique. Our differences should be embraced but instead anything white is deemed racist and anything non white deemed cool and awesome due to evil racist people with a leftist political agenda.
There is nothing else as fun as the 70's. I loved disco music, dancing to the music, the lighted dance floors and disco balls hanging from the ceiling! It was a blast. Im 66 and still listen to Disco.
I blasted this version of this song while delivering a brand new box truck from Texas to Fort Collins, CO in the summer of 2019 and was one of the best experiences I've ever had.
I remember the time when I asked my mother when I was 15 if she would go with me to Studio 54. She was absolutely appalled, and I wound up in boarding school not too long after that.

Even those who have passed way can't resist to this unbelievible song and start dancing, with all my respect. It's better than hot chocolate in winter.
This song does two things to everyone, first it gets you up whether you are home by yourself or out with the ladies and makes you dance. Second, when you first heard it, you sang it for a few days by yourself( don't say you didn't) because it "enters your mind" until you stop saying the words( even if you don't know them all). Now years later, you say , for no apparent reason and hope the wife or kids( grown up now) don't hear you, "I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, WHERE YOU FROM, YOU SEXY THING." Then it's back to reality ! Catchy song, music, and memories. Love to all and good health to you and your families !
Who's still loving this in 2019? We need more music like this in this day age in my opinion Loved this song as a teenager…still do !! R.I.P. Errol Brown
