      @@MrBlizzetta I found another video right here on TH-cam where the guy shows how to put your hand in and remove the cover and put the light in yourself. I went to Walmart and found the light bulb for $11 and got it replaced in less than 5 minutes.

      @@MrBlizzetta yep, I took my car out of pep boys after $1100 optional 2 sensor repair. I ok’d job, then few mins later (3-4 mins) I realized it was already running fine based on previous convo and called to cancel, manager: “we already jacked up your car and started replacing it, and no returns on sensors”. 4 hrs later I went to pick up my car & they hadn’t touched it. After arguing with manager I got my car next day w/out the optional repairs. Just paid the 200 oil change and diagnosis. All diagnosis said was owner works on car 🤷‍♂️ still don’t know what was wrong with vehicle, maybe clogged filter 🤷‍♂️ car being moody then, don’t know

    Thank you! Other videos I saw made it look like we had to remove pieces of the fender to get to it. That looks like a tight fit, but not NEARLY as hard as we thought it was going to be. Appreciate the video!

    The car in the video has normal low beam headlights. If your Veloster has projection headlights (the led ring around it) the technique will be the same but differ slightly. The trick will be to push in while you are turning. There is little room for any leverage so swearing might help in this situation. Look at the H11B replacement bulbs to get an idea of the procedure.

    Great video, i was able to get a better angle by putting my head at the front windshield instead of being under the hood, to see. I also used a pair of needle nose pliers. For the 2015 turbo, the lamps are a little different but with the same concept. Turning the lamp to the left and pulling out slowly 👌🏿. The base of the lamp and wires will stay attached to the vehicle. The lamp will be the only thing being disconnected when turning. Hope this help

    I did this and struggled for ages trying to get the low beam bulb back in its place. The low beam is in a very tight spot indeed. Can be done though depending on dexterity and the size of your hands! I see why it’s easier to take the bumper off, just a bigger job and you may need tools that you don’t have already 🤔 that’s why I did it the hard way 😂

    first thing to do before beginning this service, is to disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the car to sit for at least 30 minutes before beginning. If not done electrical shock may by given to you or a short in the electrical system may happen.

    • @alexb5548
      @alexb5548 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nonsense if something shorts when connecting a plastic plug you've got bigger problems than a blown bulb. You're far more likely to cause a short or get shocked by messing around with the battery. Not to mention that unfamilar with cars (ie audience of this video) dealing with electricity is scary enough without then needing to fiddle with metal tools and risking shorting the battery. Just make sure the car is switched off completely (ie no ACC either).
      If you do need to disco the battery for any reason there's no need to wait either, the worst that can happen is a weak static shock - you're dealing with a 12V battery not 240V mains supply
