Did you see any tilapia while paddling around out there?
Mostly bass and catfish. Oh, and a snake that was coming right across the river at my kayak until I splashed it.

Yes it is. They're currently rebuilding that dam and it should be operational in a year or two.
@@lalelandadventures did they say what caused the dam to fail ?
@@TL.... I'm pretty sure it was just age. The entire thing was nearly 100 years old.

I took the girls to the upper part of the lake when we first got kayaks, but the main part is too windy and too many speed boats. Thanks for watching!
For a less-fraught environment, I prefer kayaking on Boerne City Lake where no gasoline engines are allowed. Canyon is even worse with traffic now, since the levels have gotten so low and so many boat ramps are closed.
