    It's totally your gig, so do with it as you wish. As friendly feedback, however, I find the constant background music incredibly irritating. It's not needed. The content stands up without it.

      I agree. For example I hate country music and I get the impression that thats what you listen to then we might be listening for completely different things compared to my tastes in music and this colors your opinion as to what makes a good speaker.

    Danny is the only guy selling what's inside the speakers - and from what i've learned and experienced, the parts are just as important as the drivers themselves. Amazing how many manufacturers sell high $$$ speakers with the lowest grade parts inside.

    Do you think the NX-Studios would be fit for a stereo setup in an apartment, without a sub? I am not interested in high volume at all, but I am curious if they have some bass and can be used are they are or just lack it completely and you require a subwoofer.
    Thank you, appreciate it!

    • @dedskin1
      @dedskin1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mnminnmnthings are real simple my friend , the closer you are to the speaker the lesser the impact of the room , or room coloring , that is the reason for near field monitoring , but , and this is a big BUT
      Studio monitors are not Good because you are close to them , no, they are Good Period .
      Why are they good , here is the secret , every driver has its own AMP Active , and beyond that they use 4th order Linkwits Crossovers , you do the same , or equal in Passive mode youll get same quality , but you need 1000X the size of the components , thats Huge Transformers , and Caps .
      Becasue Active Crossovers work with small signals can hence get away with small components , Passive can not
      To get the same effect you would need huge components , but its doable its just not financially sound .
      And that is the secret , 24db slope crossovers
      In Active Crossover Signal is well divided ,there is little crosstalk smearing you image between drivers , and it all works well and balanced .
      Couple that with cheap drivers that are not bad but cheap due to mass production
      And you have a Win Win
      That is the Secret
      You simply can not beat that in your usual Passive home setup , no way
      But i use Passive , im not saying use Active its jsut that i have Active as well , and its just not comparable

      This would have been fun, but really not necessary. There are very obvious differences between the Nx Studios and the other two sets, which would have made that comparison too easy. The otticas and xtremes are certainly closer in DNA and sound, but also had their own signature sound. Let’s see what the sound clips are like - maybe you’ll be able to hear what we did?

    • @Newrecordday2013
      @Newrecordday2013  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @jon1810
      @jon1810 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crazy prayingmantis What’s the point of doing a blind comparison in this case? All we wanted to do is showcase the series of speakers that Danny offers here, and give our own personal opinions of how we think they sound, so the audience can have some degree of understanding on differences. This whole push to blindfold people in order to make something “legitimate” is ridiculous.
