In the Old Testament, where we get a closer understanding of marriage, they did not get married “in the church.” They didn’t have marriages in the Old Testament. They would make a covenant together at home. The man would pay a bride price to the woman’s father. If he agreed, the man would pour the man’s daughter a cup of wine. If she drank from the cup, she accepted his offer for marriage. This was done at home. A year later

God honors all marriages. Regarless of race, religion, etc... As long as it does not violate God's law like same sex marriage (Lev. 21).

21:20 This would be an excellent way to show brotherly love to this corrupt misandric world of ours .
But wait , is brotherly love still a thing when you make it all about the woman and spit on God's rules with no restraint ?
If a pastor or priest supposed to be serving God (well , God knows who they really serve anyway ) does not stand up for his BELOVED brother's rights which are being trampled upon , then what does it tell about those clergymen ?
I know a French Catholic man who was destroyed by those clergy men who talked his wife into divorcing him and harming him.
    Brotherly love ?
Another thing struck me when I started to watch their marriage sermons on YT , looking for marriage information in the Anglosphere . It is the way they tell husbands to SUFFER from their wives . Oh my goodness ! I could not believe it. I remember Winger saying something like if your wife mistreats you , it is the way to show the love of Christ to her.
How sadistic ! How cruel those clergy men !
Never a word of wisdom , of kindness , of love toward their brothers. Brotherly love ? Really ?
They never quote the Bible which says to husbands ENJOY the wife of your youth Proverbs 5:18
Or the amazing Proverbs 31 woman who brings GOOD and NOT EVIL to her husband everyday of her life Proverbs 31:1
    No . Never.
So , how do you want such men to stand up for their brothers when they are in dire strait and show how much they love them ?
    It is quite scary.

Women going to marriage counsellors , ie strangers instead of deferring to their husband should be labeled as adulterous.

  • @framboise595
    @framboise595 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Something struck me when I read the Old Testament : God never gave women the right to give their husbands a bill of divorce.
If the man is the head of the marriage covenant , it is logical that he is the only one who can do the covenant or undo it.
The only case of "abuse" (yet the word abuse repeated like a mantra today is not even in the passage) that we read is in Exodus 21:10.
If the man refused to provide for another wife he decided to take to himself the three things (that were written on the Jewish ketubah) which were food , clothing and marital right (sex) , then he was considered as not being a husband to her , so she could go free . However , she was never told to stand up against him and say now I'm filing for divorce , here is my bill . Nowhere do we see that.
Giving women the right to divorce means in fact giving women power over the head of the marriage covenant. The West has done that and the infiltrated church has followed up.
And now you have legions of pastors who tell men to "man up" and be faithful to their covenant ! Is this a joke ? !!
Who are those pastors or priests (Catholicism since Vatican II is awful on marriage) still going to fool but the simps afraid of themselves , afraid of their male indentity , of their authority and even of their sexuality ?
Our western culture is screwed up and trying to adapt biblical principles to something so corrupt and twisted cannot work at all. It is spiritual adultery from a scriptural persective.

@@framboise595 you got it! I wrote a whole book on it. The bride price made the marriage unilateral. This also allowed men to have more than one wife (polygamy). If the women were allowed to divorce, polygamy would not be possible. Jesus never gave women the right to divorce. Moses only allowed the man the permission because he was the head, the authority, and had rule over his wife. She was bound to the law of her husband which prevented her from initiating a divorce, and to marry more than one husband at a time. The Greek word in Romans 7:2 is “under-man” for husband.
