@@markkroner9800 let me correct you. He stopped hitting them because he used poor technique, almost ruining his voice. He had to train very hard to get it back in shape and he did. Now he dodges as many high notes as he can and still does them. Very impressive.

Was listening Joe in1998 wizh some cover band. "Tried to catch a shooting star, what seems so close can't be that far I'm living in a dream that's never ending." This end of verse - He killed it better than original. In my opinion, his best singing era was in time when he released great solo albums "I'm Alive" and "3".....
This comparison is quite unfair : First video, we all know he had lost his voice. 2nd video, he had not sing since a very long time and was starting his come back. It's obvious to me he has always been really good at singing, even if yes, he is even better today.
I think he's become a much better singer over the years. He used to be pretty pitchy. He is much better now, and also seems to phrase things better to accentuate the positive qualities of his voice.
In 1988 he was in bad shape with partying too much and that led to his dismissal from the band. Fortunately he cleaned up and was rehired some years later, after the "Autotune Tour" with Bobby 2007 or 2008 if I recall
I wish Joe had been able to look after his voice better back in the 80s. I seen them last year in Hamburg and he just sounds so fantastic these days though.
Learn something new every day. Never knew of the connection between the film industry's finest living composer and one of the best band in the country's lead singer. Damn.
Joseph has continually improved IMO. He has more power now in his 60's, than in his 30's. He does vocal exercises daily, and it shows. Did you know that he is the son of the most famous composer of all time, John Williams ?
Los amo, gracias al Universo por obsequiarme verlos y escucharlos este 2024, mi sueño desde que era una niña ….. mi regalo de cumpleaños de mi para mi. Gracias gracias gracias ❤
That's because Bobby is much older than Joe. Joe will be 64 in September. Bobby who had hearing loss and has Dementia will be 77 years old March 29, 2024. 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Not only does Joseph sound so consistent and powerful over the years, how's the tempo?! I was expecting the tempo to slightly fluctuate from the different clips but it's all pretty bang on the same!
I wish Toto hadn't changed, a pity Paich, Kimball (of course not to mention the late Porcaros) are not there any more but that's life. Probably the greatest band in the world, especially considering professionalism. Good Lukather and Williams still don't let us forget about Toto.
I miss him so much from 1986-1988.....charming voice and nice handsome guy.... The golden boy of the Hollywood movie and music industry....Now he's a fat old man in his 60s, but his voice is still there.
I'm a massive Toto fan so I'm not discrediting anything.. but the 2013 (Anniversary Tour) and the 2021 ('Toto with a little help from friends' during lockdown) video has a lot of post-production going on. Those are from official live releases.. theres not a single wrong note or anything even slightly off note.. not possible in a live environment. However, the recent performance (2024, the final video) at "Night Of The Proms" in Belgium, I believe is the real deal. Man sounds phenomenal

I’m born with perfect pitch and have heard the band every time they visited the North of Europe since 2010. Joe sings in pitch. You can hear him go to a lower note at times when the backing vocals saves his voice but the pitch is flawless. And he’s so consistent other vocalists needs to take note.
Last week, Joseph Williams came to the Billboard Live in Osaka, Japan with former Chicago member Bill Champlin and shook hands with Joseph Williams after the show. His hands seemed to be very thick. I was very impressed!!!

Joseph is a amazing singer. A amazing voice aways.
Love toto. Joe had one the best rock voices. Even now
His live voice definitely got better through the years. Nowadays it is much like the young Joe Williams, back in 1988, curiously.
Was listening Joe in1998 wizh some cover band. "Tried to catch a shooting star, what seems so close can't be that far

Justru vokal di tahun 2021 sampai 2024 better than early years when lived performing .. menurut saya hen can reach hight note..thats cool❤

He sounds phenomenal. But it’s irritating when he doesn’t sing the chorus.
I love Toto! But the man is out of shape. Background sings half of the lyrics.

Exactly what I was thinking. He sounds better as he’s aged I think! Amazing
In one of his interviews he stated he left the band and had vocal lessons in LA for a few years! Definitely shows
Did anyone see him on star search from approx 83? He was amazing
Yeah he almost ruined his voice until he began training with a new coach. It has improved a lot since then
4 decades on the original tone, WOW Joseph, WOW 😮😮😮
The 2013 concert is just so good.
His voice remains unchanged whatever how old he is. We love you, Joe!
Unchanged? His voice is even better today in my opinion😍
I really miss Tony Spinner. The extra guitar and his vocal range really filled out the sound

One of my favorite singers of all time. And for the last 10 years, he's been never better!

I love both singers and feel no need to pit one against the other
just aged like fine wine, his vocals imrpoved over time

After 36 years and still sounds good.

Joseph need to loose some weight again than he sings much better . See poland 2013

Sorry. As much as he gained weight he lost his ability to hit the high notes
Yep.
Vocal improvement. Agreed!!!! Intonation, pitch, style. Keep it up Joe!!!!
