  • bit.ly/2mECflQ. Payload is standard for the 320 and 323. Payload technology provides on-the-go weighing to ensure precise loads each and every time. This helps reduce load times, optimize loading efficiency, and increase overall jobsite productivity while reducing costs.
The system includes static weigh, which provides real time estimates of the payload without swinging. In addition, auto calibration allows calibration to be performed in a matter of minutes instead of hours.
Operators and site managers can track productivity from the cab with quick access to truck target weights, load and cycle counts, material movement, and daily totals. Payload can also be combined with VisionLink® for remote management of production targets.

How do you reset to next truck? I set the target weight hit the target weight and it just keeps going

How does this scale know when I want to load the next truck, so that the weight doesn’t just go up and up, And that it’ll start counting from 0 again?

I think it knows how much is in the bucket then when you tip it into the truck it transfers weight from the bucket to the truck

How accurate is the payload system?

The Payload system is designed to be within 3% on truckloads over a days period of working.

Yes - Payload scales can be dependent on operator skill but they are pretty simple to learn and utilize as they are designed to complement an operator's normal operating practices. Furthermore, our system's weigh logic has been laid out strategically to help with minimizing that difference due to spillage. For example, we weigh after some swing has occurred and material spillage is typically done after he leaves the cut. So, while good operator practice is definitely an advantage, one should also realize there are key benefits for the operator, new or seasoned, to understand what he is actually moving. As an example, our Hex payload system provides estimated weight coming up out of the cut but then uses swing rate/sensor to hone in on a more accurate payload. This typically occurs after any loose material has been purged - so the recorded weight is really good. Additionally, if the hauling unit was loaded such that material can fall off during the haul, this is another source of error/variability in the total production monitoring. Due to this, loading the truck to acceptable capacity as well as proper load placement are key to a good operator as well.

@Texas CAT Manuals it's better than not having it. Stop pointing out what ifs and just enjoy the technology. Good lord.
