Perfumes last much longer than 3 years. Just as long as they aren't strong citruses. Chanel N°5, for example, can be kept from the day it was released all the way back in 1921 haha
The longer the perfume last the better and stronger scent! I used to have my Burberry perfume in 2013 and i liked the smell but it wasn’t my favorite. Right now it smells so strong and expensive which I personally like!
Also, even though we call men's fragrances cologne in English, they still frequently come in Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette so the concentration is actually much higher.
Moisturise after! The trick for fragrance to last longer is to "trap" it, so spray yourself after a shower when your pores are dilated, that's when your skin is the most prone to keep the fragrance on, and moisturise after it will be incorporated even better on your skin
1. Moisturize first esp with its matching lotion. 2. Aim for the pulse points, not on clothes. 3. Just press it, do not rub. 4. Add perfume in hair by spraying in your brush. 5. Don't overdo it. 6. Take fragrance with you. 7. Store the perfume in a cool dry place. 8. Know when to use it. Longevity = 3 years
I don't believe the 3 year thing. I've got an extensive perfume collection that dates back at least 22 years & I can tell you that they still smell as amazing as the day I purchased them. They're kept in a perfume cabinet in my bedroom, out of direct light, close to an a/c vent. Some perfumes, I've found, get better with age.... like wine & me! :)

I’ve always sprayed the underside of my hair directly . After spending time around Mexican food, bars and bon fires, I quickly realized hair absorbs that shit effortlessly. You can still smell it when you let your hair down the morning after (☺️), it’s not waisted on a hair brush and I’ve never found it to make my hair dry:)

Another tip to make sure that it lasts is to pass some baby oil or vaseline (unscented) where you spritz your perfume and before you actually spray it on your skin. Helps it last a good while on your skin as well 😊

KazumiLivesForever it depends, on sun exposure, room temperatures, etc. I have a few perfumes and my one, guess, perfume didn’t last, but my roxy(a skateboard brand) has lasted about 12 years. Also our senses change as well so if you’ve had it for a very long time you might not be using it very much and it smells “the same” but you just don’t have great scent memory or it could be like a fine wine and yours aged well magically but I don’t know maybe take your old perfume into a store to test beside a brand new bottle and rear your own science experiemtn

I think they're waaay oilier, it's made to interact with natural male smell/hormones and the scents in cologne are very strong, like musk. Whereas maybe a lingering flower is harder to smell? That's my guess, bc that's true !!
Speaking as one of those people that can follow your too strong perfume like a blood hound after you've already gone.... PLEASE remember that some people are sensitive to smells & while you've gotten (nose blind) used to your own perfume ... It's over powering the rest of us. Do what she did at 2min 25sec mark in video... Spray it in the air & twirl. (Caution - hold your breath & close your eyes OR wait a second for the droplets to fall below your face level ... ). Also PLEASE be clean before u apply scents. Don't try to cover up b.o., cig smoke etc w your perfume. The rest of us are trying to breathe. Last but not least ... If your perfume is old or has been in your hot car or the sun at the beach.... It's breaking down & doesn't smell good anymore. Just toss it & take better care of the next one. I have a vintage perfume collection. Some are over-fifty years old and have been stored in cool, dark environments. They smell beautiful. The Orientals and Chypres seem to age the best.
I spritz my fragrance into the pits of my clothes. The warmth gives the scent a good throw, and it lingers forever! I haven't had any issues with staining, but I use toilettes and colognes, so take that as you will.
I just have a question about original perfumes...how to find out that it is original and not a copy of it ? Is it true that famous perfume houses such as dior and yves saint Laurent make a copy of the original one ? Actually i bought a 90 ml perfume bottle from Qatar airport ( yves saint Laurent MON PARIS) i asked the agent if it's original and he said that it's impossible to sell unoriginal goods in the airport...the problem is that my perfume doesn't last longer... Instead of spraying a few q-tips (which will catch like less than half of the scent as the rest of it goes to waste) and storing them in a zip-lock bag, you could also just purchase an empty roller ball container and transfer your perfume into it. There are so many cute roller ball containers available online, for the perfumes that are unavailable in roller ball form, which is the majority of perfumes.

I like spraying on my neck but almost on my hair line. It seems to last longest for me! On a windy day I tie my hair back & cover where I sprayed perfume with a scarf because strong winds seem to diminish my perfume. Feels like such a waste when the scent doesn't last!
Actually some very good tips here! Except the qtips thing. Travel atomizer works best. Also don't spray in the air and walk into it, that's really waisting alot of fragrance cause it dissipates in the air. Overall a great information video for beginners in fragrance!

I think they're waaay oilier, it's made to interact with natural male smell/hormones and the scents in cologne are very strong, like musk. Whereas maybe a lingering flower is harder to smell? That's my guess, bc that's true !!

Speaking as one of those people that can follow your too strong perfume like a blood hound after you've already gone.... PLEASE remember that some people are sensitive to smells & while you've gotten (nose blind) used to your own perfume ... It's over powering the rest of us. Do what she did at 2min 25sec mark in video... Spray it in the air & twirl. (Caution - hold your breath & close your eyes OR wait a second for the droplets to fall below your face level ... ). Also PLEASE be clean before u apply scents. Don't try to cover up b.o., cig smoke etc w your perfume. The rest of us are trying to breathe. Last but not least ... If your perfume is old or has been in your hot car or the sun at the beach.... It's breaking down & doesn't smell good anymore. Just toss it & take better care of the next one. You're not doing us or yourself any favors by continuing to use it. Thanks for reading. :)))

Tip: if you have Sephora sample bottles put your body spray in those for all day wear. I usually do that bc I’m always on the go!

A great tip is storing in the fridge or freezer it prolongs the scent and gives the fragrance more shelf life xx
I have a vintage perfume collection. Some are over-fifty years old and have been stored in cool, dark environments. They smell beautiful. The Orientals and Chypres seem to age the best.
I spritz my fragrance into the pits of my clothes. The warmth gives the scent a good throw, and it lingers forever! I haven't had any issues with staining, but I use toilettes and colognes, so take that as you will.

I just have a question about original perfumes...how to find out that it is original and not a copy of it ? Is it true that famous perfume houses such as dior and yves saint Laurent make a copy of the original one ? Actually i bought a 90 ml perfume bottle from Qatar airport ( yves saint Laurent MON PARIS) i asked the agent if it's original and he said that it's impossible to sell unoriginal goods in the airport...the problem is that my perfume doesn't last longer...

Instead of spraying a few q-tips (which will catch like less than half of the scent as the rest of it goes to waste) and storing them in a zip-lock bag, you could also just purchase an empty roller ball container and transfer your perfume into it. There are so many cute roller ball containers available online, for the perfumes that are unavailable in roller ball form, which is the majority of perfumes.

I’m just wondering, when you spray it in so many places, do you give each part of your body a separate whole spray, or do you just do 1-2 sprays and distribute it throughout? Because spraying in so many places will use up the perfume really quickly, I thought.

I like spraying on my neck but almost on my hair line. It seems to last longest for me! On a windy day I tie my hair back & cover where I sprayed perfume with a scarf because strong winds seem to diminish my perfume. Feels like such a waste when the scent doesn't last!
Actually some very good tips here! Except the qtips thing. Travel atomizer works best. Also don't spray in the air and walk into it, that's really waisting alot of fragrance cause it dissipates in the air. Overall a great information video for beginners in fragrance!
