How is cologne 5% but whenever a guy has cologne on, a mile of people can smell it!!!! am I missing something
Some men uses too much cologne and mixes it with their deodorant spray. That creates that awful strong odor.
Also, even though we call men's fragrances cologne in English, they still frequently come in Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette so the concentration is actually much higher.

I managed to find some that are spot on and don't break the bank they are perfect if you can't afford the branded fragrances, I got the dupe's to put in my handbag for when I am out and about I don't like carrying an expensive bottle of perfume around with me. xx
Perfumes last much longer than 3 years. Just as long as they aren't strong citruses. Chanel N°5, for example, can be kept from the day it was released all the way back in 1921 haha
The longer the perfume last the better and stronger scent! I used to have my Burberry perfume in 2013 and i liked the smell but it wasn’t my favorite. Right now it smells so strong and expensive which I personally like!

Because they go gym
1. Moisturize first esp with its matching lotion.
2. Aim for the pulse points, not on clothes.
3. Just press it, do not rub.
4. Add perfume in hair by spraying in your brush.
5. Don't overdo it.
6. Take fragrance with you.
7. Store the perfume in a cool dry place.
8. Know when to use it. Longevity = 3 years
Moisturise after! The trick for fragrance to last longer is to "trap" it, so spray yourself after a shower when your pores are dilated, that's when your skin is the most prone to keep the fragrance on, and moisturise after it will be incorporated even better on your skin

It is eau de toilette (EDT), cologne (EDC), parfum (EDP), then perfume, then oil.

A very effective tip is : after you wash your hair and while it's wet just spray the perfume in your hair. Fr that's genius it will last and it's just perfect. Try it if you don't believe it.

So two things:
1. That is so much perfume. Even for body spray that would be allot of perfume. Seriously re-evaluate how your habits are affecting the people around you! Perfume isnt just a personal choice, it physically falls off of your body and effects other people.
2. The 3 year thing is how long perfume lasts before it "expires". So if you had a bottle of perfume on the shelf for more than 3 years, it would start to change, and the smell wouldn't be the same anymore. Sometimes this turns into a bad smell, sometimes a different but still pleasant smell. But it does change.
If you don't wear 27 squirts of fragrance you are not doing drag

I don't believe the 3 year thing. I've got an extensive perfume collection that dates back at least 22 years & I can tell you that they still smell as amazing as the day I purchased them. They're kept in a perfume cabinet in my bedroom, out of direct light, close to an a/c vent. Some perfumes, I've found, get better with age.... like wine & me! :)
Same when she said 3 years thought wow still have most of my perfumes I like changing them so have them for so many years sometimes over a decade unless it’s all gone I’ll use it.

Tip: if you can’t afford your favorite fragrance’s lotions and body sprays, look up your fragrance and find out the base and top notes. Then you can accentuate your favorite fragrance with pairing lotions and body sprays and not spend too much money.

I’ve always sprayed the underside of my hair directly . After spending time around Mexican food, bars and bon fires, I quickly realized hair absorbs that shit effortlessly. You can still smell it when you let your hair down the morning after (☺️), it’s not waisted on a hair brush and I’ve never found it to make my hair dry:)

PSA: get a sample of any perfume at Sephora and use it up and then keep the bottle, rinse it out, and fill it up with your go to perfume and keep it in your purse. Now you don't have to buy a smaller bottle or a roller bottle

Many cheaper scents do go bad over time due to the alcohol turning rancid but there’s actually a huge following for collecting vintage perfumes. Apparently they still smell good if a bit strong.

Eau de Toilette ( french for toilet water) - 5-15 %
Eau de cologne - 2- 4%
Eau de fraiche - 1-3%
Eau de parfum - 15 -18%
Parfum - 20-30%
Extrait/ extrait de parfum - 60-70% ( few drops are more than enough) lasts like a beast.
Perfumes do last for tens of years if you store them properly away from heat, direct sunlight, humidity.
Mens perfume do come in all the above concentrations.
Mens Niche perfumes like house of creed, parfums de marly, le labo to name just a few come in mostly parfum , extrait or Eau De Parfum concentrations.
Eau de toilette is really the best type imo, it gives a casual quality to strong scents and makes you smell more approachable imo

Another tip to make sure that it lasts is to pass some baby oil or vaseline (unscented) where you spritz your perfume and before you actually spray it on your skin. Helps it last a good while on your skin as well 😊
I have this perfume my mother gave to me about 6 years ago. And I can’t find it anywhere. She would always wear before work at 5 am and come home smelling like food. I love it so much.

KazumiLivesForever it depends, on sun exposure, room temperatures, etc. I have a few perfumes and my one, guess, perfume didn’t last, but my roxy(a skateboard brand) has lasted about 12 years. Also our senses change as well so if you’ve had it for a very long time you might not be using it very much and it smells “the same” but you just don’t have great scent memory or it could be like a fine wine and yours aged well magically but I don’t know maybe take your old perfume into a store to test beside a brand new bottle and rear your own science experiemtn

I spray in my elbow crooks, behind my ear & on the back of my neck - i was my hands to much to put it on my wrists. I was wondering that too lol Cologne seems to overpower any perfume in the room and last for hours.
I think they're waaay oilier, it's made to interact with natural male smell/hormones and the scents in cologne are very strong, like musk. Whereas maybe a lingering flower is harder to smell? That's my guess, bc that's true !!
I just have a question about original perfumes...how to find out that it is original and not a copy of it ? Is it true that famous perfume houses such as dior and yves saint Laurent make a copy of the original one ? Actually i bought a 90 ml perfume bottle from Qatar airport ( yves saint Laurent MON PARIS) i asked the agent if it's original and he said that it's impossible to sell unoriginal goods in the airport...the problem is that my perfume doesn't last longer...

I have a vintage perfume collection. Some are over-fifty years old and have been stored in cool, dark environments. They smell beautiful. The Orientals and Chypres seem to age the best.

Actually some very good tips here! Except the qtips thing. Travel atomizer works best. Also don't spray in the air and walk into it, that's really waisting alot of fragrance cause it dissipates in the air. Overall a great information video for beginners in fragrance!
