Thanks for the video! At 12:04 you inserted the video of the i600 instead of the i700. I had my i700 set at the lower framerate in the beginning, in the hope that processing time would be less (and to test if my second scanner would be a i600 or i700). But after I changed it back to maximum fps, my staff told me that it is actually a big difference. I have a laptop with Intel core i9-13900HX, 32GB ram and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. It's a SCHENKER KEY 15 (newer version than you see on their website). It came with the scanner from my dealer. No extra powerhub is needed to operate the scanner on the usb port.
Hey there! Our pleasure. Yes this is on purpose that is why it says 'i700 scanning' right under the video. We are trying to compare the difference. Thanks for the comments! This video is 1 year old now and I would not be surprised if there have been many optimizations to the i700 in that time. In saying that, I still use both interchangeably to be honest.
One question. In all your videos, if you take a scan, you don't make the zigzag movement at the front teeth (capture buccal and lingual before you move on). Don't you increase the risk of stitching problems? I've seen it happen, and instruct my staff to always do the front in zigzag. For the Trios3 the scan procedure is also like this.
Great question and this is something I teach a lot in my live courses. The zigzag motion basically is taught by companies in order for you to make sure when you are doing your first motion with the scanner across the arch (occlusal scan), that you make sure to capture the incisal edge in its entirety. Thats why they say zigzag across. The only reason people get double images / stitching issues, is that this is that the incisal edge is not captured properly and then when you do your buccal / lingual scans the scanner software stitches it incorrectly. Rather than zigzag, I watch the screen and make sure to tilt the scanner buccally while going over the incisal edges and make sure I capture the entire edge of the tooth 43-33@@clemens74 hope that helps :)

I have gor got any experience with digital scanners till now, is the i600 gonna be enough to keep at least the same quality of the prosthesis I deliver till now?
Yes @yiannaras71 it uses the same scan imaging engine and has the same accuracy as the i700 so there is no difference in the quality. You can read more here instituteofdigitaldentistry.com/cad-cam/comparing-medits-new-i700-wireless-vs-i700-vs-i600-vs-i500-scanners/
Very nice video thank you. My question is, is that difference in the fps , has some impact for the lab, or in practice, for the right setting of the prosthesis? Thank you very much!
Yes, it does. It is decently accurate but in saying that, I see this sort of feature as an adjunct, and I would not rely solely on shade detection apps.
@@InstituteofDigitalDentistry thank you doctor. I checked the website and the requirements says it needs at least an rtx3060 for the videocard..I saw that the aero 17 hdr has a gtx1660ti..did you experience any issues even if the card is below the required specs?
@@KonzTech I have found no issue. It has worked very well with all scanners I have purchased. In saying that if you can get a laptop with a newer graphics card, get that.
@@InstituteofDigitalDentistry Thank you so much for your feedback doctor! It helped us out a lot in deciding the hardware we will get for the scanner :)
I have both. I would only use Omnicam for chairside dentistry utilizing CEREC and mainly just quadrants. It is annoying to scan full arches with it. Medit is a better all-rounder at this price point but you wont have easy access to CEREC mills. If you have no interest in same-day dentistry and in-house milling, definitely i600.
Ce que j ai compris d après votre explication que la différence de prix n est pas très justifiée entre le i600 et le i700 surtout que la précision est presque la même, ici au maroc la différence est 7500$ . Merci beaucoup pour vos efforts

Is lower FPS better or worse?
What an excellent video. Thank you for the exemplary presentation. It sounds non biased as well. Appreciate it.
Thanks for the kind words! It is our pleasure and we always stay un biased :)
Wanted a comparison between the two as I’m deciding which one to get and this video has definitely helped me to decide. Thank you.

No impact on accuracy or fitting at all.

Hi Doctor. May I know the specs of the laptop you used for testing i600 and i700?
AERO 17 HDR is what I use.

Did you use i700 wireless? I'm gonna buy it
Yes I use it almost daily. Great scanner if you want a wireless option.

Yes, if cost is the primary factor, I would just get i600. Great product.
How much is the price?
13,500 USD.
