  • I found a map of Eastern hemisphere Kulthea from Shadow World By Iron Crown Enterprises. Using some editing software I pasted the maps together to form a completed map of Kulthea. This is a fan creation of two official maps.

I loved this genre. We started with Rolemaster/Spacemaster/CyberSpace [the 2 are one genre in the end] and our GM used it as an ultimate sandbox. It had multiple metaplots in which charactors could easily be integrated into key players. Complex politics, deep history and many support modules. But not micro managing. Really sad Terry died...

I was never a fan of Shadow World. Compared to Forgotten Realms, it lacked a lot of depth, I like the essence flow and the navigators concepts. Other than that, I thought it was pretty bland. I guess TSR had a bid advantage of having budgets to support a lot of authors who created novels and content for Forgotten Realms, so it was very likelly impossible to compete against that. I played a few years in Shadow World and I really don't remember much of it. I remember purchasing the novel that came out for Shadow World, I still have it somewhere in a box with other novels I have read and it's wasn't a page turner ;) Only thing I can remember about it is the main character Andraxx ??? Who had purple eyes and 6 fingers on each hand... that's it... can't remember a thing about who he was order than the fact he was a Lore Master, or what he did. I am not sure when ICE went bankrupt and when R.A. Salvador parted ways, but getting him to write for Shadowworld might have turned things around for them. I wasn't aware of the other part of the world. It's cool you have the map but as far as I know, no material was ever published for that area.

You have a very good memory, It had its moments of both greatness and boredom. Never played Forgotten Realms. Nothing was ever written about the eastern hemisphere, so that half would be a complete homebrew. Which means I can fix some of those boring sections. Thanks for the comment.
