I grew up in Manteca, Ca. I idolized all of you as I raced flat track in the late 70s/early 80s all over Nor Cal. Knew the Akslands quite well. Keep on doing what you do! We appreciate you Randy.
Just watched the Manila interview, absolutely brilliant, what a life and so interesting, he was top man in my era , thanks to Keith for not interrupting him , this is the only podcast I listen to, don’t change a thing , thanks again
I wonder if Randy remembers a time in the early-mid 80s in Kyalami, a huge downpour and a Greek private rider who had no rain tyres, went through qualifiers on slicks and Randy gave him a set of rain tyres for the race...what a legend
Randy is such a nice guy in addition to being such an amazing talent. In 2004 l was able to sit in with him at the Alpinestars hospitality at Mugello. It was a great roundtable discussion. I have been fortunate to cross paths with him numerous occasions and he is always pleasant and informative.
As a kid in South Africa, we didn't get to see much footage, but we rather read about the races in magazines. Randy was my childhood idol, I loved his wild approac and coveted a magazine centrefold pic of him on my bedroom wall.
This guy is a true legend! I watched him on that Cagiva, smoking the rear through coppice at Donnington back in 88 or 89 and loved him since. Had no idea about the heart inside that lunatic. What a guy! ❤
Just about two weeks ago I had the pleasure to be in the front row on the picture and then ride along Randy on the Silverstone track. Thank You for the honour. It was one in the life time experience riding with a great champion like You sir. Good luck with the charity, I'm glad I could add my little help. 😎
What an absolute wonderful human being ..... An attitude that everybody could do with .... Two stroke masterclass... Always a champion in my eyes ... Even more so now .....
After the parade lap at Silverstone this year, we were followed and had the pleasure of Randy and Niall into the Army village. Stayed with us for over an hour. So full of information, awesome visit.
Wonderful that one, Randy such a top genuine open and honest person. Fabulous, met him 2011, on a charity bike ride up N'umberland he camr with, Niall, Taz, Taylor Mac, Brad Smith, they all had flow in from Portugal the day before and borrowed bikes from M&S, claim too fame, we both had a piss up against a wall an chatted. A real gp legend. Such a beautiful sole, could listen all day. I'd say the greatest omg podcast, full stop.
The first time I watched Randy on a motorcycle was the Transatlantic match races at Mallory park. He was a very young freckle faced kid. Have always loved Randy, great rider and showman. Best moments for me were his Suzuki and Yamaha years. Great character 😂
Watched the video yesterday evening I’d just like to say , watching the passion of Randy and the 2 wheels for life charity brought a tear to my eye As an avid Moto gp fan In 2022 at doc I purchased a table made from cal crutchlows front wheel at lcr , dr auto art 1 of 1 Fabio (when he was world champion) ,franky poster and Luca marinis boots I’m so glad I did , they are in my bike house (man cave ) and will cherish forever Keep up the great work guys ! Fantastic content with amazing people 🙏
Excellent enjoy every minute. Great family man & lover of many things in or around motorcycles. Had the pleasure of meeting and having breakfast with Randy just a few years ago in the south Bay San Fran with my club GGDucati. Got to talk about his charity work and relationship with Tom Heron - more would be great👍 Gerard
Wow & Awesome Randy I am a fan of his riding carrier & his technical information back on Eurosport & have be a supporter of Two Wheels for Life but to listen to Randy put things into very sharp focus & a whole new perspective of the man OMG
Wow what a brilliant human being along with being one of the very best GP riders iv’e ever seen, Randy you are Special and thank you so much for being you, 🍷🍷🍷
Wow, brilliant interview as in just letting randy talk, and to think we saw him as the bratt. How wrong we were. What a genuine kind racer he is. I'll watch this again and again and hope for another interview. Thanks Keith and OMG.
I remember being at donnington stood in the infield of the last corner before start finish straight .Randy came each time around the left hander with right leg in the air as he was a short rider so to get his knee down his right foot would not reach the foot peg, so it just dangled.
I finished up with an Arai Rapide and Mamola colours because it looked so damn cool and I thought any rider who could ride with a design like that had to have something special. Of course I miss the good old days and had no idea how good we had it. Rainey, Gardner, Schwantz, Mamola... all the guys who rode machines that would fight you all the way through a 500GP to the finish line. Loved listening to this today whilst working and what a story. Thanks Randy for being a great inspiration alongside Gardner for me, much love!
Great to see an interview of a non-British rider, not meant as criticism. I assume the contacts are readily available among the British racers and officials.
Absolute fantastic podcast 😁 I remember watching the British Grand Prix where Randy and Eddie fought for the win, passing each other almost every corner with Randy winning on the upside down Honda V4. I was so impressed that the next season I was on a used TZ250H in Canada racing and learning how great 250 2 strokes were, when they were not trying to kill you 😳🤣
I remember well Randy came down to NZ. He was a cheeky, very talented 15 yr old ginger on a Yamaha. He became a closely followed from NZ star. He rode in the time of Geoff Perry. Geoff was killed in an aircraft on PanAm 707 out of Tahiti. Both absolute stars. Welcome back to NZ anytime Randy.
I thought Keith and Simon could talk. Randy definitely needs a part 2 and possibly part 3. Could listen to him for hours. Also I've said this before we need to get JB (Jeremy Burgess) on the show.
Belatedly just caught this memorable podcast. Following the perceived blocking of Croz from a works Suzuki ride I have to admit to being one of the Mamola boo boys ‘back in the day’🙈 Humble apologises but my attitude has changed and congratulations for the work on behalf of the sport. Still remember the whoopsie at Assen too 😂
Was about 16 racing MX in 70's SoCal our parts manager loaned me his spare 125 road racer for a play. Turned up at OCIR with this little kid on a TA125 - lapped me every time out.
Absolute legends, could listen for days...one complaint...crippled kids...please use handicapped or disabled,,from the parent of a "crippled kid" who died last year.
Mamola was known as the best rider to never win the WC. Mr. Second Place. Then Pedrosa comes along and HE now holds that unflattering distinction. So Mamola now comes in second place for the title Mr. Second Place.
I hate when Randy does commentary because he'll always spend loads of time talking about the yank riders & little on the guys at the front🤣😂🤣 he definitely could ride a bike though...💚🇬🇧🌱

Fantastic interview! I could’ve sat and listen to Randy for another hour 😁. True gentleman and a thoroughly decent human being. Thank you.

Just wow, what a beautiful chat between the both of you, Randy, get back and talk as soon as possible and you Keith as all ways ❤.
Wow, Randy is such a credit to his mum and dad.
Perhaps Matt Roberts could help him write a book, it does need to be written.
I agree, complete with photos and comments from other riders of the era and beyond. He's a true gentleman.
Wow & Awesome Randy I am a fan of his riding carrier & his technical information back on Eurosport & have be a supporter of Two Wheels for Life but to listen to Randy put things into very sharp focus & a whole new perspective of the man OMG

Wow, brilliant, Randy does not want to write a book however, it would be great if he did some live roadshows, I would buy the first ticket
Wow, I never realised he was so much more than just another gobby American racer, the man has a huge heart in him.
“ another gobby American racer “ huh?
Yes met Him at Roberts ranch
Indian!!!!!! Love it!

The era of fun and skills aplenty. Bring back days like these, although the moneynmen would never allow it, why, not enough money generated.
Funny that when he mentions the"other guys" he never says Kevin...💚🇬🇧🌱
Mamola U - Specialized programs, Phd in highside saves. Enroll now (you hear! MM🤣)
thats the first time I have ever not heard Keith talking over some one,
Absolute legends, could listen for days...one complaint...crippled kids...please use handicapped or disabled,,from the parent of a "crippled kid" who died last year.
"we're not worthy.. We're not worthy" - wayne's world
How is PF Chili going these days?
Mamola was so fast....
