Been using the dcd999 for about a year now and have to say its a game changer, time is money and this beast will definitely pay for itself in no time 👍.
Yes it is, the DCD999 comes standard with a 54V battery which is heavier than the 18V. So if you need the extra torque, then you can go for the heavier one. Otherwise the DCD996 would be a good option as it is lighter
Definitely my kind of tools, I bought myself a second hand brushless DeWalt drill as I couldn't afford new but let me tell you best investment I could ever make its very powerful and what a time saver light on my waist belt and no cords well done.,👌💪
6:06… The 996 and 999 drove the first screw in at the same speed as far as I can tell and it’s obvious that there was a pause before driving the second one in and that’s the only reason the 999 won. I just got the 999 in a kit with the 887 impact driver last week and this week I see the 996 paired with the same 887 but including a DCS578b circular saw for around the same price.
Hi Mike, the DCD999 is stronger than the DCD996 when used with a 54V battery. The tests we do, will have some human variance due to user difference. If we repeated the test more times to get a bigger sample of data, the DCD999 would come out on top
My 996 is 20V. Why are you testing 18V? Also, you should know how to lock the bit in the chuck. Obviously you did not lock the bit in your demo because the bit fell out after drilling. I don't think your video was a fair demo. Thanks anyway.
very very good video, now i know what machine buy !!!! Thanks and continue

Glad to hear you are happy with it!
Una pregunta el dcd999 viene made in usa o made in China?
What a beast of a machine.
Can you do an episode where you show us. How Dewalt machine looks like when they come in for servicing and repairs ?
That’s a great idea Andre… we will plan something for our next video
you convinced me to buy all 3... damned... 🙂
Awesome, reliable, solid cordless tools
Is the 996 still worth to buy now?

Dcd999 is better than 996 ?? More stronger ??
Hi Chriss , yes. When fitted with the 54V batteries, the DCD999 will produce a higher torque than the DCD996

Hy what torque produce dcd996 with 54v batteries ?
Good stuff you guys, keep up the good work 💪those machines are awesome 👌.

Thanks, guys!! I see some places are selling this Dewalt DCD999 without a 54v battery R2999.00 and with Battery for R7499.00...💪💪💪
Awesome tools guys. love them.
Could I use a 20v 8AH on a DCD999
Hi David, yes the 8AH battery will work with the DCD999
Pretty much all the 20v and all flex volt batteries are designed to work with all the 20v tools.
Is the 18v new ? I thought the 20volt
The 18V platform and the 20Vmax platform are identical. In the USA it is branded as 20Vmax and in Europe and Africa it is called 18V

Ah oke.. good to no
Thanks
The 20V is really 18v nominal and the 60v is really 54v nominal. It's unfortunate that marketing messed with the names.
Hi guys nice job on the video's
is there a version with no music? everytime i want to hear something important that Tchhh Tchhhh max's out right over it LOL
Absolutely love DeWalt products. Best by far

6:22, the 996 looks like it actually beat the 999. lol, what gives?

SUPER GERÄT
I am just wondering why no one is talking about the fact that there is China made of the 999,, no comparisons videos about it
Dewalt has Milwaukee in Hammer drill department. I mean just look at that beast. M18 not ready.
Yes. We found that DEWALT has really been pushing the R&D on their batteries, drill and impact tools
Looks like the 999 has the same PoS chuck that caused so many problems with the 996; don't think I'll be buying one.
Character and attitude?! Dude just tell me how it works.
I wonder how many South African homes will be broken in using this tool!
👍
One word Milwaukee
🤲🤲🤲
Chainsaw muuch better 😅
