We actually did see a family with a 2-year-old on the bus, and they seemed to manage just fine. That said, I would opt for the train for reasons I mentioned in the video. In Japan, it's seen as rude if you're talking loudly on public transport, so I’d recommend bringing headphones and an iPad to keep your little one entertained. However if your child makes some noise, I doubt it would be a big issue-people are generally very understanding in Japan. Hope that helps, and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji if you’re planning one!
