Thank you for helping me find an even deeper level of appreciation for Morrowind‘s beauty.
Ah, Morrowind. The one truly unique and original subsetting in The Elder Scrolls. Everything else is closely derived from a human culture or older fantasy tropes.
Dunmer culture was lightly inspired from India. Tribunal = Trimurti, calpa, Vivec = Shiva. But at the same time Veloth almost obviously inspired by Moses, and thus Trinimac is the Pharoh
@@Fortify2030 Very loosely at most. The Tribunal could also easily be taken from the Christian trinity- their temple even has "saints" in it- and it's obvious that Vivec, Sotha Sil, and Almalexia are meant to be a fighter, mage, and thief, respectively. And the Kalpa isn't a term in Elder Scrolls which is specific to Morrowind.
@Nonamearisto Which god in Trinity is a trasngender? 😁 Early Shiva cults depicted him as a transgender god just like Vivec, he also a poet and a warrior. Sotha Sil is obviously Brahma, god creator. For years I have been following all the lore video's on fudgemuppet, first when you just wrote them, then after you also talked in them. then slowly it started to decline with the podcast taking over witch I did not like nearly as much as a scripted video. then all the lore video's just stopped. I have been missing it ever since until now! I did not know you split off and made al your video's here, shame on the algorithm, it should know I will now watch everything you made in the next couple of weeks. I just knew when I started the video, slowly the music rolling in, cinematic shots of the topic at hand that I found my bed time story's once again. Thanks for continuing it here and sorry for finding you so late again.

Superb work Drew, I thank you yet again for being able to bask in the shining light of your beautiful work. Congratulations on what you've done! Hopefully I'll be here to accompany along this amazing artistic journey
Man this is so dope! I see a few other creators from other communities doing the longer format and I really like it. Deep dives on areas, individuals and events with this almost doc vibe to it. I highly enjoy this style of lore content.
Honestly man you need to write an elder scrolls novel. Dremora’s guide to Nirn idk
"He is an N'wah. He is worse than an n'wah. He is, Azura forgive me for even uttering the name, a H'lallu."
Keep at it man these vid are pure kino
I’m trying to write/create my own story/world and the Dunmer gave me heavy inspiration for my own created race called the Nephilim who have a similar shitty and just not good history and past
Good shit. High-quality video. Keep it up!
Morrowind was easily one of the first games I ever found myself fully imersed in. Unfortunately I have been spoiled by modern game mechanics anmd pretty graphics and playing it today isn't the same, but the music. The music of morrowind still takes me back to playing on my original xbox after school and on weekends. I still use parts of the morrowind soundtrack to sleep to.
The narration was absolute stellar! You did not waste a minute in this 1 hour long vid!
Now this stuff is what I want to see on a monday afternoon! More than an hour of drewmora content AND its about morrowind?! You just made my week ❤
It really is nostalgic looking at the beginning of this video. I still have my original more win for the first Xbox console down here with all of my other games. I also wish I had an old console I can play it on. Nothing that has come after Elder Scrolls Morrowind has been even close to on par with it.
I'm eager to see you interpret the remaining lessons of Vivec
Thats it this is it the video i needed this is exactly what i hope to find every day i open up youtube this exact video is what ive dreamed of for years
No what you need is a video which teaches you how to use basic punctuation and sentence structure. Wow.
@@frauleinhohenzollern okay german, you went out of your way to write this on a year old comment.
Hey Drew, for the last year I have been missing these video's.
I appreciate your support over the years, mate! Thank you
Excellent lore video Drew, Dagoth Ur would be proud! 👍👍👍 Morrowind is a masterpiece it’s still my favorite Elder Scrolls game and Bethesda game overall.
30:04 I genuinely spit out my coffee when I heard "a noble elf named Arselick, and his name isn't even the most disturbing part" 💀
Amazing video!! Your contributions to the Elder Scrolls community are greatly appreciated!
I suppose this is a lore video for people who already understand the lore. After hearing around fifty names for stuff without any explanation or context I think I'm good
The editing, narration...this is the best Elder Scrolls lore channel out there right now.
YES A NEW VIDEO I CAN WATCH ALL THE TIME!!!
Arslic and Arselyck both make for very good, very funny fantasy names.
The Battle of Red Mountain would make such a great movie. Wish I could see it done well.
Wait ...did i miss something? How come the 3 living Gods didnt disappear like the Dwemer?
Fantastic video Drew!
Mephala has always been so interesting to me especially her relationship with vivec
This is my second time falling asleep listening to this
Great video Drew. Though I do wonder didn't the chimer already have golden skin even before joining Boethiah since they were techniqually altmer/aldmer?
Chimer skin is metallic looking though.
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but your view count has been steadily rising. I think if you keep doing what you're doing, then you'll be up to just before prime Fudgemuppet era views.
Nonetheless, I see you hitting 100k-300k a video if you keep it up. You were my favorite Muppet, and I loved listening to your takes on the Podcast. You always had something interesting to say, and had the best theories.
Love ya bud.
One of your best videos Drew! The Dunmer truly are one of the most fascinating races in Tamriel.
Just as soon as I was about to take a nap, Drew drops a feature length film.
He don't miss
