i would like to mention with blau, if u run toolkit boy and have it boost the vanguard it makes a 16k column and if ur attack goes thru u can keep restanding and attacking until they block it for basically 1 cb and 1 discard since u keep a single drive check and toolkit boy counter charges, i wouldnt say its the best because u do lose a lot of resources doing it but if u can pull it off it feels amazing to keep restanding and attacking over and over again till u win

I still play vintage with a couple bois, but with some G era cards like the PBD breakride or a trigger or 2 no strides, the breakride PBD makes PBO terrifying and i haven't lost with it in the old format yet 🤣🤣
Of note: MLB is a *highly* customizable deck, with quite a few cards not included in that list that one could choose to run within reason. Probably should've mentioned at least some of them in the video.

In the same vein as Blau I'm honestly recomending Tachikaze, I've been able to beat the Majesty AI deck in DD2 with it twice, not tier one but definitely a tier 2 deck with practice.
The build i recommend: Rainbow trigger, use ankylo as the draw.
Dragon egg starter
G3: 4 Deathrex, 2 Gigarex, 2 Savage King
G2: 4 cannon gear, 4 Megarex, 2 mammoth and 2 savage destroyer
G1: 4 Sonic noa, 4 archbird, 3 skyptero, 2 savage warrior.
Surprisingly Cannon Gear is by far the strongest grade 2 other than brutal jack.

Deck Notes:
0:00 (Dragonic Overlord the End): If you retire too many cards off your opponent's board, you will end up not being able to persona blast. Keep in mind that countercharge was only available when Bellicosity Dragon came out in EBT-01 (Comic Style) and later reprinted in EBT-09 (Divine Dragon Progression). Even if you have the card, the countercharge was not guaranteed as you need to have the unit hit. The other unit that was incredibly mean back in the day was splashing in Wyvern Strike, Tejas to snipe back row. Sure, it cost no CB to hate back row, but the unit requires an attack and is an 8k g2 unit which is considered to be an awful unit if you're playing defensive (especially on the Vanguard ride). Berserk Dragon wasn't much better on defense either, since a 12k attacker + 7k booster lane meant that you needed 2 cards to guard anyway (not including trigger checks).
3:29 (Majesty Lord Blaster): If you really wanted to hit numbers, with the exception of Star Call Trumpeter, Toypugal makes everything G2 and up hit for 18k+. Lien as a booster in any RC position except behind VC means you will be at a disadvantage to make numbers beyond 18k as there's only Palamedes to make that happen. Behind a star call trumpeter and you only get 15k. Lanes for this deck are considered to be awful without Palamedes.
6:02 (Tsukuyomi): To get to numbers above 18k, you absolutely need Battle Maiden, Tagitsuhime or Oracle Guardian Wiseman. If you want to have Tagitsuhime be more consistent as a 12k beater, White Hare of Inaba is also very useful as it can help in a situation where you do not have 6 soul on g3 ride. Lanes are less of an issue here since Silent Tom does quite a bit of heavy lifting, but if your opponent hits a defensive when you hit no offensives, then you're kinda out of luck with Silent Tom.
9:10 (Alfred Beatdown): The deck is self-explanatory as the list is difficult to improve in from here. If you play the Barcgal Starter variant (Assuming that it wasn't banned as a starter), here are the cards that need to change from the list
-1 Epona or Owl
-3 Blaster Blade
+1 Flogal
+1 Toypugal
+2 Lake Maiden Lien
12:06 (Phantom Blaster Beatdown): Skull Witch, Nemain is a horrible card outside of the draw skill. Your lanes in its baseline will not hit larger than 11k if this is your RC in front. Phantom Blaster Dragon as a RC unit is actually preferable when you're trying to finish the game. Macha is Akane, but way better. You want this to be your main source of calling back row if possible. Blaster Javelin is your main way to fish out PBD, so if you are clogged with PBO in hand, this is your target to call from Macha.
16:32 (Blau): Losing the keyword for Twin Drive back then meant you only get 1 drive check as that was the default for cards back in the day. These days, it's an ability that would have said "Drive -1, but that wasn't a thing. Now, this could be interpreted as you get drive -2 but I don't know what the rulings are for this particular unit. If anything, this should be similar to what happened to Dragonic Overlord. If you wanted to be mean on defense, then having a Brutal Jack (I'd always refer to the card as Geno Jack as this is actually a reference to the JP name) would also be an option as the unit is at 11k. The drawback is that Brutal Jack needs CB1 to even function.
question why minus 3 bb in alfred deck wont it be harder to get the bb then
it would've been cool if Bushi at some point made an adjusted vintage format with clear rebalancing goals such as for example making all grade 3 cards 11k, buffing weaker clans (GN, Tachis, etc), slapping too powerful decks on the fingers, and so on. while the big 3 were strong enough they required banlist hits in LB era, the very weakest clans had less than 6 cards total

It's honestly not that great even compared to set 5 stuff. I never knew why it took so long to get unbanned until Thing Saver came out. Even then, they could have restricted it in the deck with Thing Saver, and it still wouldn't have been that bad.

Just to check cos i noticed this bug in dd2, when playing tsukuyomi the deck stack is not by the order we want but based on the order we see from the ride line skills.

Thing is, PG’s weren’t as important back then so it’s possible that it just ran 3

Iirc mixing is unrestricted at this point considering Nubatama only has 4 cards, same with Great Nature and prolly a couple others. It's also necessary for MLB's gimmick. For trigger effects you need at least one unit of the clan on board so in some cases it can be a downside, this is basically why MLB is "Royals + Blaster Dark" so it's never really an issue unless you're somehow Blaster Dark vanguard with an empty board
