I like the blockiness more so than a live edge. The light wood is a little bit bright though so it's kind of zebraish If I were to do this for myself I would probably do all dark but I like the layout.
I'm with you on the blockiness over the live edge. I will say that my office is a bit dark, so I'm happy that I had the contrast of the lighter woods. Don't get me wrong - the Peruvian Walnut and the Ziricote are amazing, but I for some reason I think the yellowheart and tamarind seem to make the the dark woods pop even more as I look at the final product. I don't think you can go wrong though going light or mostly dark. If I had to switch out one wood it would be the Cherry. I would go with an Ash or Oak instead of Cherry for color and for how porous it was with the epoxy. Thanks for watching!
