    Thanks so much for reminding me of our holiday in Aug 2019. I took my kids and we visited Cape town and the Garden Route. You are so lucky to live in one of the most stunning places on earth. We had a fabulous time and met some lovely people. We didn't quite get to Port Elizabeth but Cape Town, Franschhoek, Gansbaai, Sweelendam, Oudtshoorn, Cango Caves, Knysna, etc are truly wonderful places. I would urge anyone who loves adventure and travel and can afford it to go here. We actually found it to be very good value. Please don't listen to the haters, as long as you are sensible (as per every country you visit) all you will be left with will be a lifetime of memories. Our first day was spent hiking up Table Mountain and then Lions Head to see the sunset. Truly incredible memories - its actually bringing a tear to my eye writing this :)
    ps make sure you do the Bloukrans bungy - it was absolutely incredible. The zipline to get to the bungy and the suspended walkway after the bungy are awesome too.
    Only down side my youngest son (11) was gutted that he was too young to do it.

    • @TBA-007
      @TBA-007 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like Brazil, it's also in the southern hemisphere, so summer weather.
      Those months therefore usually the hottest of the year, reaching 40 degrees centigrade + at times.
      Include a (tracksuit type) top or two, and / or jersey but warm clothing shouldn't be needed most of the time.
      Nights can get cooler, especially if it rains and the temperature drops, but not like in winter, obviously.

      The traditional Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho (bantu people) homelands are in the east of the country. There were Khoi-San in the West but most of them died because their immune sytems couldn’t cope with viruses from the west when they came in contact with the Dutch. So the Western Cape is mostly Afrikaans and the rest of the country is mostly Zulu and Xhosa.

      @@mattdubber lol. We are actually having increased shark attacks here in recent years. They stopped shark and croc hunting back in the late 70's and now they are everywhere. They had to restart croc hunting and egg collecting to liscenced hunters to try control them. Sharks seem to be more political (im sure the shark doesn't care) but they've basically become a protected species now, surfers not so much. When one gets attacked, about 1 a week then everyone says they shouldn't be in the sharks habitat. Do you have an opinion ?
